@californiacooper A little bit of pink bleeding can be totally normal, I had it with DD and everything was fine. Totally understand the anxiety though, but please be assured it is nothing you have done! Your lines look brilliant. Try and move your scan earlier if it will help settle your nerves ๐Ÿฉท

I've just had a bit more and it's a bit more red :( I'm absolutely gutted guys. Beyond anything I thought. It was too good to be true my miracle.

WolfMother326 · 28/01/2024 23:36

@californiacooper I do think that a little it of blood can happen pretty easily after exercise or sex. In my first pregnancy I had red bleeding after sex at 8 weeks and was so upset I felt dizzy and panicked but nothing came of it and all was OK. Hope you can get through this and maybe get checked out.

Thank you for the reassurance but I'm preparing for the worst. Going to try and get some sleep somehow and not think about it, hoping in the morning it isn't any worse.
I've emailed where I booked the scan to see if I can bring it forward.
I don't know what to think by Dr MN and Dr google give wildly different options. I think I'd be silly to think it will all be ok at this stage. I'll let everyone know
This is heartbreaking :( ๐Ÿ’”

Anyone else wide awake and watching the clock ticking down the hours to the 5.30am alarm?
Iโ€™ve been up to have a wee 5 times already tonight. Cramping felt bad about 30 minutes ago but has passed now. Really felt very nauseous when I went for the most recent wee but that is also starting to settle now.
Not sure how Iโ€™ll manage at work tomorrow. Iโ€™m a secondary school teacher, head of my department and have already had 2 emails from members of my team who will be calling in sick in the morning and need me to set their cover. I wish I could email back saying, โ€œset your own bloody cover, Iโ€™m pregnant and feel like crap!โ€ But I probably shouldnโ€™t. My husband said I shouldnโ€™t go in if Iโ€™m having such a bad night, but I donโ€™t want to start taking time off with pregnancy sickness this early when it might get worse from here.

TTCSoManyQuestions88 · 29/01/2024 01:10

@Lillers yep. Insomnia is apparently very common in the first trimester, because of the damn hormones. I fall asleep fine but wake up in the middle of the night. I was awake 1am -5am last night. The constant peeing isn't helping. I can't not drink water in the evening as I am so so thirsty all the time

Lillers · 29/01/2024 01:16

@TTCSoManyQuestions88 Thatโ€™s what Iโ€™ve been like up to now - getting to sleep fine but then waking up. Tonight though I havenโ€™t even been able to get to sleep at all. Iโ€™ve got up and am downstairs watching Friends now because I was getting stressed lying in bed awake.

Xur · 29/01/2024 07:20

@Lillers
Im returning to work today after 2 weeks off -In Which Iโ€™ve been absolutely useless. I expect nothing more of myself at work today ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lillers · 29/01/2024 07:23

@Xur I decided to call in sick today in the end. I just canโ€™t do my job on 2 hours sleep! I feel bad about the impact on my team knowing that there are 2 others also off today, but if I was there Iโ€™d be completely useless anyway!

Xur · 29/01/2024 07:35

@Lillers
I have my midwife appointment today! I never had one in my life!
Also..I googled and turns out my surgery has only one midwife, if I donโ€™t like her then itโ€™s tough shit for me I guess.

Lillers · 29/01/2024 07:41

@Xur Good luck! My first appointment isnโ€™t until 22nd Feb - it feels so long away! Mine is at the local maternity unit which is the main mat unit in the part of the country, so I think there are quite a few midwives there.

californiacooper · 29/01/2024 08:01

Good luck to everyone having their appointments today!!

I think this will be my last day in the group... I'm still cramping and bleeding, I've moved my scan forward to today just to check/confirm. I am half absolutely devastated more than anything I can put into words, and half realistic that it was obviously not right for some reason anyway... or else I did it by being so so stressed or going to the gym.

Such a shame :(

HRP1990 · 29/01/2024 08:09

@californiacooper please donโ€™t be too hard on yourself, it absolutely will not be anything youโ€™ve done! (Also, if it were that easy to do damage by going to the gym etc..then women wouldnโ€™t have to resort to abortions etc!) let us know how you get on at your scan, thinking of you ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

Cinai · 29/01/2024 08:19

So sorry @californiacooper that youโ€™re going through this, I keep my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully the scan will have a positive outcome!

siobhanmt247 · 29/01/2024 08:30

I'm so sorry @californiacooper . Please don't think its anything you've done x

VT6 · 29/01/2024 08:35

@californiacooper good luck today! I hope you get the answers you want.
please donโ€™t sit and try and figure out how or why. It 100% will not be anything you have done xx

MrsB2019x · 29/01/2024 08:40

Best of luck for a positive outcome today @californiacooper ๐Ÿ’

Bakerbean · 29/01/2024 09:02

@californiacooper wishing you all the very best for your scan & for your little miracle. I know nothing I say can make the situation feel any better, but I just wanted to reach out and say Iโ€™ll be thinking of you & sending all the best wishes your way. Will keep an eye out for an update. Take care and be kind to yourself x

hol92 · 29/01/2024 09:18

I'm so sorry that you are going through this @californiacooper like the others have said it's definitely nothing you have done so please don't be hard on yourself, am wishing all the best for today x

rupertbear91 · 29/01/2024 10:05

Best of luck today @californiacooper got everything crossed for you baby is still healthy

MudandMoet · 29/01/2024 10:28

@californiacooper thinking of you today. Really hope everything is okay and you come back with positive news xxx

@WolfMother326 thanks for that it's great to read a positive story that sounds scarily similar to our set up. It's lovely that your DH stepped up and did more than he had originally given you the idea that he would. Did you use a website or a local company to find a babysitter/nanny and did you get a good one straight away?

Caroline2023 · 29/01/2024 10:34

@californiacooper so sorry to read what you are going through. Thinking of you and really hoping for positive news xx

Kate543 · 29/01/2024 10:52

@californiacooper so sorry to hear about whatโ€™s been going on with you, Iโ€™m crossing my fingers for you xx

californiacooper · 29/01/2024 10:57

Thank you everyone xxx

Xur · 29/01/2024 11:12

@californiacooper Iโ€™m sending good thoughts your way, I hope scan shows healthy baby โค๏ธ
I had my midwife appointment today morning, they took the bloods and urine. The midwife wants to come to my house on the weekend to do a family history interview I thought that was interesting but I guess Iโ€™ll have my cookies and tea ready then. Anyone had midwife come to home before, to interview?

MrsB2019x · 29/01/2024 11:19

@Xur No Iโ€™ve never had that, the only time a midwife came to my house was around 30 weeks to give info on safe sleeping etc. Think itโ€™s a way to check home conditions really!
