@Decaffe also I forgot to mention, I am also on progestorone and even on progestorone my boobs are barely making themselves known! I can only feel the boobs when I jump or apply a lot of pressure, itโ€™s nowhere near as painful and I think my boobs are having anything just because of the progestorone. But my Bebe was fine last Monday on the scan.
@FuppinNora congratulations, It must be a mix of emotions! ๐Ÿฅณ

MudandMoet · 28/01/2024 19:18

Really hoping tomorrow is lovely news for you @Decaffe xx

@FuppinNora wow amazing ๐Ÿคฉ congratulations! Doesn't it feel good to 'tell people' even if it's just virtually to a bunch of strangers!! Really pleased for you!

@Lillers you've got 9 months to use the Dove stash that's accumulated at the back of the bathroom cupboards ๐Ÿ˜‚

Bakerbean · 28/01/2024 19:30

Lots to catch up on & lovely new scan pictures ๐Ÿฅน congratulations to you all.

@ForeverHopeful67 Iโ€™ve been struggling with headaches this week, in particular a mega migraine on Wednesday. Only being able to take paracetamol is a nightmare for me as I have a stupidly high tolerance to painkillers (thanks to recovering from major surgery years ago), so itโ€™s been a hard week. Do you generally get headaches around your period too? I read that there tends to be a correlation between the two.

My nausea has been practically non-existent this weekend, which on one hand I am incredibly grateful for (we spent the weekend with the whole extended family!), but it also really has me on edge worrying if things are ok. Boobs are still tender, been incredibly bloated, and still have bad food aversionsโ€ฆ so I just have everything crossed little bean is doing ok in there. 6 sleeps until scan day, I canโ€™t wait to get there ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

rupertbear91 · 28/01/2024 19:35

@ForeverHopeful67 I have chronic migraine and have had to stop my medication when trying to conceive so well practiced in trying to manage the pain. I highly recommend an ice cap it's my only life saver at the minute. I was having acupuncture before I got pregnant that helps too but I have been scared to go since I found out even though Google says it's perfectly safe ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Bakerbean · 28/01/2024 19:45

I can also very much jump on the bandwagon when it comes to worrying about how we will manage with work/finances once baby arrives. Iโ€™m self employed and run my own business, weโ€™re a two person team and my role makes up about 90% of the responsibilities. But. Weโ€™re going to make it work. I donโ€™t know how yet 100%, but Iโ€™m not allowing myself to panic about it until I have confirmation of a healthy pregnancy, and we reach the 12 week mark. Weโ€™ve wanted this for years, weโ€™ve always known it will be a struggle and a huge change for me in my work in particular, but we will figure it out one way or another for our little family.

My brother is getting married middle of august, Iโ€™m a bridesmaidโ€ฆ and Iโ€™m going to be a whale at 36w by then ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‚. Not entirely sure how theyโ€™re going to take the news when we tell themโ€ฆ but, weโ€™ll see!

Cat2022 · 28/01/2024 19:49

@Decaffe I think your bottom one is a dye stealer as the left is darker than the right. The degree of it will vary per brand of test. When are you going for a private scan? And think if you are really worried that should hopefully give you an answer.

I have started to have some strange cramps/ pains today. I do have my booking appointment tomorrow so will ask my midwife (it is the same midwife I had with DD). Have been trying to put off a private scan but I think I might cave as 12 weeks still seems so long away with just under 5 weeks to go.

ForeverHopeful67 · 28/01/2024 19:58

@Bakerbean everything you've wrote is so similar to what I'm going through! I also haven't really been nauseous all weekend.. main symptoms I guess have definitely been bloating cramps and headache!
And also in relation to your other post my sister in law is getting married the first weekend of september so almost bang on when I'm due ๐Ÿ™ˆ!

@rupertbear91 I will give the icecap a go thank you! I suffer from the occasional
migraine but don't usually get headaches that often so wondering if it is hormones!

californiacooper · 28/01/2024 20:01

Okay so this is helping me feel less alone although I'm sorry that loads of you are also worried about a lot of things. I guess it will work out somehow won't it... it has to.
I swing from this ^^ thought to "oh my god oh my god what's going to happen".
We're also doing renovations (I really really wish we had bloody left the hallway alone as we now have the box room at the top of the stairs to somehow make into a nursery (tiny nursery ideas anyone) and then a the other room into an office, spare bedroom, and have wardrobes and drawers in as our main bedroom is tiny and can only fit one. People manage though. I think I need to throw away about 40% of my belongings.

Welcome newbies to the group, it's so nice to see so many of us here (there were always loads of kids born in September in my class at school. Strange!)

@Decaffe I've been looking out for your posts as I wondered how you were getting on. Your tests still look hella positive to me, I hope that everything is okay and settles your worries.

I still have 0 symptoms that I could attribute to pregnancy, no cravings no headaches, a bit of general boob/uterus cramps (max 2/10) which isn't abnormal for me, and any nausea and insomnia I think is only because I keep peeing on sticks and seeing two lines. So I can't wait for my scan next week

MudandMoet · 28/01/2024 20:12

Pinterest is your friend for tiny nursery ideas @californiacooper I have boards for every room in the house and then some ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ ... every room in the house, listen at me like I live in a mansion ๐Ÿ˜‚ I live in an adorable cottage but it's not large by any stretch of the imagination!

I'm obsessed with all things baby on there at the minute. Can't wait to start buying though I won't tempt fate for a long while yet.

siobhanmt247 · 28/01/2024 20:26

@Decaffe im so sorry you're not feeling great. I'm 6w2d and my tests look very similar to yours. I also had spotting and my bbt dropped below the coverline yesterday so you can imagine how scared I was. It did come back the next day. It might be something but it also could be nothing. I hope your scan brings you the peace of mind x

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 28/01/2024 20:29

@FuppinNora massive congratulations to you! And welcome ๐Ÿค—

Is anyone else here having dc3? Just coming to terms with the fact we are going to need a new carโ€ฆDH not impressed! We have a Skoda Octavia which is a great family car but unbelievably does not fit 3 car seats in the back seat. I can squeeze into the middle so we could put one child in the front with the airbag disabled but Iโ€™m not keen on that long term.

longingtobe23 · 28/01/2024 20:51

I had a HUGE cramp this afternoon cooking a roast dinner

I started feeling so unwell and then had bad diarrhoea ๐Ÿฅฒ TMI โ€ฆ. But it was agony, Iโ€™ve read about cramps/stretching settling in painโ€ฆ but I really hope I donโ€™t get that again x

californiacooper · 28/01/2024 20:52

Guys I just went for a wee and there was some blood..... I've had a little bit of cramping today (I've had this on and off anyway). It wasn't a lot but it was definitely pink. I'm 6weeks. Could this be anything other than the worst?
I did another test, and the test line is darker today than yesterday and darker than the control now. Which it looks like is a good sign. (Top yesterday, bottom today)
I've been so stressed today what if I did this :(
I've got a scan booked next Saturday but that seems like a lifetime away

That sounds awful. Are you feeling okay now? Xx

siobhanmt247 · 28/01/2024 21:00

@californiacooper have you been more active or anything? Could just be bean settling in a bit more but maybe you can bring your scan earlier? Don't panic though I think a few of us have had it now x

MudandMoet · 28/01/2024 21:00

@californiacooper it could just be a one off... hopefully baby just snuggling in and getting cosy ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผโค๏ธ

ForeverHopeful67 · 28/01/2024 21:09

@californiacooper try not to worry too much, I know that's easier said than done, but many people ( myself and others on this thread!) have had cramps and a small bit of pink blood can be perfectly normal. Your tests are lovely and strong and there's nothing to suggest that anything is going in a wrong direction.
Pregnant until proven otherwise ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

californiacooper · 28/01/2024 21:19

I've been more active today (I went to gym for first time since I found out but didn't do anything more than what I normally do probably a less to be honest)

Has anyone else had cramping and bleeding and it's been okay?

I'm going to see if I can move the scan to mid week.

I'm really panicking guys :( it doesn't feel right

siobhanmt247 · 28/01/2024 21:25

@californiacooper it was after the gym that I had it and I didn't go too heavy. Fingers crossed for you ๐Ÿคž x

Is everything okay with you now??
How many weeks were you when you went to the gym?
I just thought I'd better move around a bit to stay healthy and now I've fucked it up.
I've been so so stressed today as well.
Oh god :(

siobhanmt247 · 28/01/2024 21:58

@californiacooper it seems to be. I had a tiny bit the next day but it's stopped. I was running and weight training and it happened at 5w4 after a gym session. I'm 6w2 now. I'm just going to walk more and maybe use the bike for a few weeks now but I googled it and found a few people were having the same thing

longingtobe23 · 28/01/2024 22:13

@MudandMoet i do much better thanks / it must have only lasted 2/3 minutes but I was really giving it a quick scream! I had gallstones and it was genuinely similar pain level

I have foggy memory from my last pregnancy as it was 9 years ago, but I know I suffered serious stretching/cramping in the early weeks and all was totally fine, so I must keep remembering that ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿปโ™ฅ๏ธ

MudandMoet · 28/01/2024 22:28

@longingtobe23 I'm sure it'll have just been a big stretch of something that caught you off guard as you were busy with dinner. Take it easy and if you have anymore that are that painful contact EPU. Xx

MrsB2019x · 28/01/2024 23:11

@californiacooper A little bit of pink bleeding can be totally normal, I had it with DD and everything was fine. Totally understand the anxiety though, but please be assured it is nothing you have done! Your lines look brilliant. Try and move your scan earlier if it will help settle your nerves ๐Ÿฉท

WolfMother326 · 28/01/2024 23:18

@xur and @MudandMoet
I'm a bit late replying on this it was a few pages back, but I just wanted to share what happened with my first child, with my husband and my career because we've juggled a lot and that's been a success, in a way.
I have a PhD and really love my work although I don't make a ton of money, I worked very hard for my career. My husband works full time or more at a very serious job and we are financially comfortable. We have no family around in the country (mine are in America and his retired to another nation in the UK).
Basically he had said he'd be unable to help when we had our son and expected me to either not work or have a nanny. When the baby actually came tho, he was much more hands on than he expected. He did so much cooking and changing and helping so that I could breastfeed and sleep. He works from home which really helps. I think he surprised himself by how much he enjoyed the baby stuff. Still he was working full time, and I took 9 months off work (unpaid because I was on a contract that only provided SMP).
But after 3 months we did need some help and got a friend/hired babysitter in regularly so I could have a break and she could help with basic things at home. We're incredibly lucky to afford that I know. I ended up going back to work 3 days a week which I've stuck with and it's been the best thing for my mental health. After a traumatic birth and a tough first 6 months going back to work kind of saved me. We still use babysitters a lot on top of nursery as we have no other help. But my husband does breakfast and bath at night with our son every single day and I don't think he would have planned to.
I guess my point is that things adapt, it's ok to hire help (if you can afford it), its good to keep your career and hopefully your husbands will surprise you โ™ก
