@cd24x sounds like a similar day to me but I take my hat off to you having to deal with a toddler too!

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow, have you got some rich tea bics you can nibble on to get you through the sicky feeling moments?

Labyrinth86 · 21/01/2024 21:57

@Xur I know your comment on choosing an elective CS was a while ago now (I'm catching up) but women definitely can elect to have one. I had one and I had to say it was for mental health, which I suppose when you get to the core reason it was.

MrsB2019x · 21/01/2024 22:26

@MudandMoet I ate that many rich tea biscuits to help nausea in my last pregnancy that I am well and truly sick of them now ๐Ÿ˜‚

Current craving of the minute is roast potatoes and gravyโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคค

Beanz2022 · 21/01/2024 22:40

Hello! I have just found out I am pregnant with my rainbow baby ๐Ÿ‘ถ ๐ŸŒˆ I am super early at 5 weeks and due the end of September, I already have a beautiful 6 year old boy. Xxx

Starlight11111 · 21/01/2024 22:50

Been rubbish at keeping up with this thread but have dipped in and out! Welcome all new joiners including @Beanz2022 - huge congratulations!

@MrsB2019x now I'm craving roast pots and gravy ๐Ÿคค might have to make some this week!!!

7 week scan on Wednesday and time is still going incredibly slowly!

cd24x · 21/01/2024 22:52

@MudandMoet no rich tea unfortunately. I'm at my in laws tonight so can't go rummaging through the cupboards early before work tomorrow without them suspecting something. Might have to do a dash to the shops on the way to the station and pick something up.

I've just seen a reel on insta for roasted garlic and bacon pasta with loads of cheese. Guess what I'm craving now?? I think it's the saltiness of the bacon that's doing it for me ๐Ÿคฃ

californiacooper · 22/01/2024 07:03

I've been awake since 4.45 ๐Ÿ™ƒ
Brilliant
Did another one of these with first wee just to check I wasn't imagining things.
Slightly anxious it might be twins (due to the stimulation, what if there were several slow responders that popped out). That would really not be ideal.
How early can we do those early private scans??

Happy Monday and hope everyone who got their BFP over the weekend (and everyone else) had a fab day. 2024 looks like it's going to be interesting ....

Morning all. I think I'm overthinking it but I have a bad feeling. BBT and resting a HR down and HRV up. I know for most it means nothing but for some people it can mean something :(

Bakerbean · 22/01/2024 07:58

@MudandMoet YES with the food cravings/aversions - itโ€™s really bugging me as before getting pregnant both me and my OH were already on a health kick, really trying to get into better shape to give us a better chance of conceiving. At the beginning of the pregnancy, I was loving all the healthy eating & felt great for it. I hit the 6 week mark last week and boom, all I am craving now is salty savoury snacks, french stick bread with butter, crackers with butter, digestives, fries etc. Proper beige rubbish, and itโ€™s making me cross with myself. Thankfully I am still obsessed with fruit but itโ€™s proving really, really hard to keep a balanced diet when so many of my usual favourite foods are making my stomach churn.

Someone else said on here that itโ€™ll get better further along, so I have everything crossed for that! Iโ€™m currently very slowly eating a bowl of shreddies ๐Ÿ˜†

Sydney1988 · 22/01/2024 08:07

@Nic17 I have my private 7 week scan on Thursday - excited/mega anxious. Hoping that things feel a bit more โ€˜realโ€™ following the scan, and it abates my nervousness a little bit - manifesting good news already! Hope all goes well for you and look forward to a scan pic x

MudandMoet · 22/01/2024 08:39

@MrsB2019x that's freaky because last night around an hour before you posted I was exactly the same, wasn't making roasties at that time and old aunty bessy wasn't there on standby so I chucked some chunky chips in the air fryer and made some lovely gravy! It was so late to be eating that but by heck it was amazing! @Bakerbean Isn't it funny that the main cravings seem to be salty savoury. Does that mean potentially boys? I've even been having bovril on toast for brekkie for the saltiness - yikes that's bad isn't it!

@cd24x cheesy garlic bacon pasta sounds delicious- might have to add that to this weeks list of teas now ๐Ÿ˜„

@siobhanmt247 hope you're okay, try not to worry to much, I'm sure it's all alright xx

@californiacooper I had an early scan at 6+4 and you could clearly see little bean and a heartbeat.

Starlight11111 · 22/01/2024 08:42

You took the words out of my mouth @Sydney1988, best of luck to us both ๐Ÿฅฐ

@siobhanmt247 try not to stress. I've also kept an eye on my resting HR and it massively dipped a week ago then shot and remained back up. I don't think it's a particularly accurate measure of anything pregnancy wise, but I know the anxiety so sending hugs xxx

MrsB2019x · 22/01/2024 08:54

@MudandMoet I ended up having mash with gravy last night, didnโ€™t quite hit it but it was still delicious. Salty doesnโ€™t necessarily mean boys - I went completely off chocolate with my DD! Seem to be going the same way this time. Not complaining as I eat waaaay too much chocolate normally ๐Ÿ˜‚

Decaffe · 22/01/2024 09:07

@siobhanmt247 I know how you feel. I am exactly 5 weeks today and my RHR and BBT have fallen. My boobs are not at all sore all of a sudden this morning. And I got a 2-3 instead of a 3+ on a CB digital this morning, even though my blood HCGs from last week should absolutely have meant getting a 3+ today. Sad Feel that it was nice while it lasted but I guess I will be doing that embryo transfer in my next cycle after all.

longingtobe23 · 22/01/2024 09:17

@californiacooper a private clinic have agreed to scan me 5+6 because I have tubal dysfunction found during my operation in oct.
basically showing fluid can flow through but itโ€™s a bit stagnant and slow โ€ฆ so due to risk of ectopic I am going to be scanned just to be sure itโ€™s in the right place to eliminate risk!

I then have one at 7 weeks with NHS. They wouldnโ€™t do it earlier/perhaps couldnโ€™t fit me in earlier at the EPU. But honestly never felt more anxious after being told that by the consultant.

I personally wish I could wait until 7/8 because you see more and heartbeat etc but needs must sheโ€™s told me go in as early as possible so following the rules ๐Ÿ˜ข

siobhanmt247 · 22/01/2024 09:19

@Decaffe I'm sorry :( youre not out yetbyhough. Is bbt below or above the coverline? Not that 1 reading really counts, it could be anything that caused that. I thought I saw someone else who went from 3+ to 2-3 and back again last week also x

Decaffe · 22/01/2024 09:21

To add, I also noticed last night that my tiredness had disappeared. I stayed up quite late to help DH with some work and felt absolutely normal. I am sad but I knew it was coming so never really fully got excited.

Decaffe · 22/01/2024 09:22

Not below the cover line but not far off.

siobhanmt247 · 22/01/2024 09:23

@Decaffe ill keep my fingers crossed for you x

Caroline2023 · 22/01/2024 10:29

Hi all, would it be ok join please? I am currently 4+6 weeks through IVF. Feeling very anxious that something will go wrong but I can see that itโ€™s pretty normal from seeing some messages on here. Iโ€™ve got my viability scan with my clinic on 3rd Feb.

Hope everyone is doing ok and congratulations to you all!

@Decaffe I really empathise with your feelings and I know infertility/IVF adds to the anxiety. My symptoms have also lessened today. I have read though that this is completely normal. And I also have seen that the clear blue digital dates are not that accurate and lots of people get the 3+ closer to 6 weeks. Iโ€™ll hold some hope for you x

MudandMoet · 22/01/2024 10:32

@MrsB2019x I've gone off chocolate too! Usually have at least 2 bars a day and a chocolate or sweet type pudding after tea, we have loads of Christmas chocolates left which is not like me too.

@Decaffe fingers crossed for you here too xx

californiacooper · 22/01/2024 12:10

@longingtobe23 thank you for the info, I think I will book something in for 6-7 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I make it that far

@Decaffe so sorry to hear you think things might be going in the opposite direction. It doesn't sound like it's over just yet though?
Sending good thoughts your way. What's the next step? Just keep testing I suppose?

I don't know much about HR and BBT tbh

californiacooper · 22/01/2024 12:11

@Caroline2023 welcome!!!
And congratulations. IVF is so nerve wracking, everything crossed for you.
Was this your first cycle?

Caroline2023 · 22/01/2024 12:40

Thank you @californiacooper ! No it was my second round. How far along are you?

californiacooper · 22/01/2024 13:24

Aww amazing well sending positive thoughts your way! IVF is tough (mentally and physically)
Clear blue said 2-3 weeks! Just tested yesterday, shocked as in the middle of IVF ... I think the stimulation meds caused some extra follicles to pop out
