@HoneyandSunshine thanks so much, I find here is a good place to start but so hard to keep up!!

californiacooper · 21/01/2024 18:36

@Decaffe thank you I'm so shocked!!
I haven't read the whole thread as I have not even hopped onto the pregnancy boards until this afternoon.... so I'm sorry if I missed your story, have you been going through IVF and then conceived naturally as well? We were due to have the 2 frozen embryos we made (love the term Frosties) transferred in the next couple of weeks... by my period hasn't shown up (yet... still convinced it will) which is what we were waiting for.
I'm baffled. Am I really pregnant?!

HoneyandSunshine · 21/01/2024 18:36

Agreed! You canโ€™t put faces to names on here either so itโ€™s easy to forget who said what ๐Ÿคฃ @rebecca6

Thank you, checking in! I am 4w2d today, with a due date of 23rd September. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

How do you know how far along you are? I have no idea how this all works, I think I'm going to need some guidance

If you know your ovulation date, then the day after that (1dpo) = exactly 2 weeks pregnant. 15dpo = exactly 4 weeks pregnant. So - what date was your egg collection, let's see if we can work it out. Were you having sex around the time of your egg collection?!

(My situation - I did IVF and it didn't work, I then found out I had complex deep endometriosis, huge surprise. I then did a second egg collection round and got three frozen embryos from that. So we were waiting for me to heal from the excision surgery and me to come out of medical menopause that I was put in, and my cycle to return, for us to do a transfer next month. But I am 4w6d today from a natural pregnancy and can't quite believe it still!).

californiacooper · 21/01/2024 19:09

@Decaffe
No idea about my ovulation date, stopped bothering with OPK strips when I found out I'd be v unlikely to ever conceive naturally... (low AMH)
Egg collection was 9th December, AF turned up 20th December. My cycles are about 25 days (I've only had one 27 day cycle the whole of 2023, and some have been 20 days, 25 is average) so was expecting AF a week ago, today is day 33.

It sounds like you're sort of in a similar situation to me as I was expecting frozen transfer start of feb!

Decaffe · 21/01/2024 19:12

Ah I see, I was getting a bit confused then as I couldn't tell if you'd had a bleed after your egg collection! That makes much more sense! Ok well in that case my lovely - the second pink line on your test strips is definitely not the HCG from the trigger shot - you are pregnant! I think you need to contact your consultant in the morning! Congratulations ๐Ÿ˜

Yes, very similar situations in terms of a transfer in the next cycle!

Decaffe · 21/01/2024 19:16

@californiacooper Your consultant is likely to want to start you on progesterone pessaries and possibly aspirin. They will also probably want you to go in for an HCG blood test. The Clearblue 2-3 weeks indicator is the length of time since conception, so you add two weeks onto that to get your NHS dating - so you're between 4-5 weeks pregnant Grin

Cat2022 · 21/01/2024 19:26

@californiacooper that is amazing! And you to @Decaffe

californiacooper · 21/01/2024 19:28

@Decaffe I had my treatment in Greece (for several reasons), I've sent him a message with that pic but he's not got back to me yet, I have been a bit worried this afternoon as I know all of the meds I've got at home are for uterine support after transfer, and now my uterus is just winging it alone.... so I hope he will tell me what to do to keep this little bean where it needs to be!

Don't worry - see what your consultant says (it won't be his first time in this scenario!). He may suggest you use what you have (Cyclogest or Utrogestan I'm guessing?). Or, it might be an idea to call the fertility clinic at your local hospital tomorrow and explain the situation - you may be able to get any meds you need from them. You will also need to refer to your midwife service separately, this might be self-refer online or it could be through the GP depending on your area. Please keep us updated! How wonderful!

MudandMoet · 21/01/2024 19:40

Can we talk cravings/diet girls? Has your diet changed at all since you found out you're expecting? I am 8 weeks today, when I first found out I just ate really healthy and actually enjoyed the change. Fab! It lasted a few weeks.... I'm now craving salty savoury foods. We've had so much shit these last two weeks, takeaways, maccys etc. I cannot get enough of salty fries and I feel so bad but it stops the nausea waves immediately. Anyone else? xx

Congratulations @californiacooper what another lovely story. Hope you can get a reply from your consultant tomorrow to advise you of your next steps. It's great @Decaffe can help with her similar story xx

Hi Newbies ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฅฐ

WolfMother326 · 21/01/2024 04:23

Congratulations and welcome @CMMumof2 will you get another test?

I popped into boots today and did another test so it seems I am pregnant. Obviously I'm super grateful and hopeful everything will be okay but also I was saying to my friend the other day how I'd love my next baby to be later in the school year so I could save on nursery fees ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Sydney1988 · 21/01/2024 19:56

@MudandMoet Iโ€™m the same! All I crave is salty chips/crisps/crackers. Salty beige, basically. My diet has been shocking over the past fortnight (am almost 7 weeks) - just the thought of green things turns my stomach ๐Ÿคข. Just making sure I keep up my prenatal vitamins and my sister suggested getting a NutriBullet and making smoothies to get some goodness in. Lack of nutrition probably isnโ€™t helping my energy levels and fatigue either!

Decaffe · 21/01/2024 20:02

When did all your nausea start? I am only 5 weeks tomorrow and still have a cracking appetite so far...!

VT6 · 21/01/2024 20:02

Iโ€™m feeling the same with food at the moment! Really fancied something for dinner, cooked it then just looked at it and it made me feel sick ๐Ÿคฃ
Iโ€™m struggling with dinner time at the moment ๐Ÿซฃ I normally love my food aswell

MudandMoet · 21/01/2024 20:07

@Sydney1988 I'm just the same, I have to stop myself taking a packet of salted crisps to bed at night ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm taking my vitamins too but probably not enough. I have a blueberry actimel everyday and tell myself that I'm not doing too bad ๐Ÿ˜‚Tiredness hit me like a train this weekend too, I sound like a right slob what with the takeouts and shit already but honestly I'm not at all usually, just been on the sofa a lot of this weekend but I seriously needed it. It's nice to have symptoms finally but I do feel utterly sluggish!

HRP1990 · 21/01/2024 20:08

Iโ€™m managing to stay quite healthy at the moment! @Sydney1988 Iโ€™m having alot of smoothies in the morning too. I think the nutrition is helping with the tiredness ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป Iโ€™m only 6+3 but I know that can all change lol.

MudandMoet · 21/01/2024 20:11

@Decaffe after about 6+3 my appetite changed.

@VT6 I think you've just got to eat what your body is telling you it wants at this stage. I mean, I'm all for making life easy but can I seriously eat maccys and salty chips for the next 7 months ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

HRP1990 · 21/01/2024 20:21

@MudandMoet am I going to wake up with a maccys craving tomorrow!? ๐Ÿ˜‚

MudandMoet · 21/01/2024 20:26

@HRP1990 it's likely! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ my baby (if I make it full term) will come out looking like a bloody chip ๐ŸŸ. It's a good job we can't get deliveroo etc around here ๐Ÿคฃ

ForeverHopeful67 · 21/01/2024 20:28

@herestohoping1 I'm Gloucestershire too ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐Ÿ˜Š

Had a call from my midwife today ( same one I had with my daughter!) I'm all signed up to their online system now and have an appointment on Thursday at the maternity ward to have my bloods etc done and need to wait for my scan to come through the post!

Feels a little bit more real now!!

Xur · 21/01/2024 20:52

@MudandMoet
Im a healthy eating freak right, I eat clean food. Been doing that for two years now and this week I had pizza twice. I was craving ham, like warm ham on top of a cheesy goodness ๐Ÿ˜‚ I also had doughnuts dipped in blackcurrant jam and sour cream ๐Ÿ˜‚ then two days ago I had to have German boiled sausage with ketchup and black bread, had it today aswell. My tastes are quite particular now. Opened a jar of peach compot and thought it tasted like socks. So did Sprite.

cd24x · 21/01/2024 21:30

Joining the salty crisps & chips bandwagon! I ordered Maccy Ds the other night and ended up buying an extra portion of chips because I just needed them.

Nausea has hit big time today. I've spent most of the day laying on the sofa trying not to be sick. Not easy with a toddler. Seems to have eased a bit this evening. I'm not looking forward to going to the office tomorrow if I feel the same as I have today.

MudandMoet · 21/01/2024 21:35

@Xur that is some weird concoctions! German boiled sausage though ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ
I can see me ending up plonking some right weight on if these last couple of weeks are anything to go by.

@herestohoping1 I'm in Derbyshire x
