My worst symptom is nausea but right after that is dry skin. My back is the worst and it itches and burns and itโ€™s so annoying. Itโ€™s better through the day but after a shower itโ€™s horrible, thank god for lotion that helps a lot.

doitjustice95 · 20/01/2024 23:17

@emmatcc1

My nausea came in slowly this week and since last night every bit of food Iโ€™ve had has been a struggle to keep down. So Iโ€™m right there with you! Iโ€™m not prone to throwing up and luckily I havenโ€™t yet so hoping I donโ€™t have any terrible morning sickness. Right now itโ€™s just been feeling light headed and feeling as though I want to throw up but canโ€™t.

Only other issue however is the breathlessness, I do have asthma and it could be a small chest infection I have or a cold but have been struggling this week with the breathlessness.

emmatcc1 · 21/01/2024 00:36

@doitjustice95 I had bad nausea only for a couple of days but the past 3 days have been mild and manageable.
I also have asthma and I noticed Iโ€™ve been using my inhaler quite frequently. I donโ€™t know how Iโ€™m gonna do with seasonal allergies as it was pretty bad last year.

WolfMother326 · 21/01/2024 04:23

Congratulations and welcome @CMMumof2 will you get another test?

herestohoping1 · 21/01/2024 07:25

@siobhanmt247 I got 2-3 last night on clear blue so hopefully things are going in the right direction ๐Ÿคž

rupertbear91 · 21/01/2024 08:05

Anyone else's boobs so sore they are waking them in the night?

Kate543 · 21/01/2024 08:13

@rupertbear91 mine are worse this time than I remember last time for sure! I was up in the night but I have no idea why๐Ÿซฃ

Mine aren't even big so not like they are rolling around either ๐Ÿ˜‚ but they are so damn painful!

plinkyblonk · 21/01/2024 09:03

@RachSmile Hey I'm up in Scotland too yeah I wasn't getting ho see my midwife until 10 weeks, but midwife has squeezed me in at 8weeks dunno if its cause my dd was preemie, which know I'm taking it though. How are you finding things? Xx

Mine! I keep wanting to sleep on my front but as soon as I roll over I'm awake from the pain.

Bakerbean · 21/01/2024 09:08

Howโ€™s everyone feeling today? Iโ€™m trying so hard to be productive but nausea is kicking my arse today & Iโ€™m quite crampy again. Weโ€™ve got friends over for Sunday lunch later & the thought of trying to eat it is making me panic already. I normally LOVE all food, especially vegetables (all my friends/family know that broccoli is my favourite food), but I cannot stomach veg at the moment ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Trying to think what else I could serve with slow cooked beef that isnโ€™t veggies?! Roast potatoes I think I can cope with because theyโ€™re dry and crunchyโ€ฆ.

RachSmile · 21/01/2024 09:52

@plinkyblonk Hi! Aw thatโ€™s so good youโ€™re getting to see them early, hope everything goes well for you ๐Ÿ’– Iโ€™ve had a lot of nausea but no real sickness so far, crazy bloating and big acne breakout this week though! How about you? Xx

MrsB2019x · 21/01/2024 09:55

@Bakerbean Ooh can I come over? I have a hankering for a Sunday roast ๐Ÿ˜… I have been up since 5:30 feeling nauseous but it seems to be passing now and your post has made me hungry ๐Ÿ˜‚
Broccoli is the best vegetable. Hands down!

Bakerbean · 21/01/2024 10:20

@MrsB2019x ๐Ÿ˜‚ course you can - at this rate my portion will be going free! So hope I feel a bit better later but the nausea seems to be pretty constant all day at the moment. Thankfully no actual sick yet though so I am really grateful for that. Yayy - a fellow broccoli lover! I had tears in my eyes the night I realised I couldnโ€™t stomach it (Iโ€™m blaming the hormones!! ๐Ÿ˜‚).

The first two weeks after finding out, I was craving such good, healthy food. Now all I want is dry carbs, and thankfully fruit. Really desperate to try and get my BMI down a bit as I know itโ€™s going to come up throughout pregnancy, but itโ€™s so hard when your body suddenly has a mind of its own.

Cat2022 · 21/01/2024 10:57

@Bakerbean the nausea is kicking my butt too and also my diets has gone from balanced to beige. Iโ€™m already heavier than I was la at time so I really want to keep it under control but atm I am just surviving.

herestohoping1 · 21/01/2024 11:06

Where abouts is everyone? I'm in the UK, Gloucestershire area!

Bakerbean · 21/01/2024 11:11

@Cat2022 Iโ€™m sorry youโ€™re feeling ropey too. It is somehow comforting knowing weโ€™re all in this rollercoaster ride together though!

doitjustice95 · 21/01/2024 12:09

@emmatcc1 With the breathlessness and wheeze I have I may have to get seen by a GP ASAP worried itโ€™s an untreated chest infection now :( Honestly hating how this weather is also making me feel with the cold air

MrsB2019x · 21/01/2024 12:18

@Bakerbean I think in the first trimester you just have to survive. My daughter was grown on Mac and cheese from a packet and potato waffles ๐Ÿ˜‚ your appetite for veggies will come back in a few weeks โ˜บ๏ธ

rupertbear91 · 21/01/2024 12:23

Anyone else's clothes already too tight? Even my leggings are cutting into me today... surely it's too early for maternity clothes at 5 weeks?

emmatcc1 · 21/01/2024 12:33

@rupertbear91 Iโ€™m 8 weeks tomorrow and already stopped wearing my tight leggings at like 6 weeks. Only super stretchy leggings donโ€™t bother me.

Xur · 21/01/2024 13:17

@doitjustice95
I will give you some advice to relief the symptoms of the lung inflammation until youโ€™re see by a doctor if you want to try.

In your nearest grocery store, purchase Teapigs camomile tea. This is pure, natural camomile plant for tea. Boil a kettle of water and put the tea in it, or designate a bowl.
then take a towel or something, put over your head and inhale the steam from the camomile. This is a traditional method from the North (not North of UK, but North of Europe). Camomile has anti inflammatory properties, the steam is going to make your bronchs open and it will relieve the symptoms.
get well soon!

@rupertbear91 my belly definitely feels like a ball, and some trousers are too tight, Iโ€™m just 7 weeks today and this is my first pregnancyโ€ฆ
my partner noticed my jeans tight on my belly and keeps telling me to undo the trousers

In other newsโ€ฆyesterday I had no nausea, and now then today Iโ€™m getting double. I feel like today Iโ€™m getting todays and yesterdays nausea, ughโ€ฆ

MrsB2019x · 21/01/2024 13:20

@rupertbear91 Same here, itโ€™s not too bad when Iโ€™m stood up but when Iโ€™m sat down Iโ€™m constantly adjusting the waistband!

I saw โ€œblumpโ€ the other day which means a bloat bump, and that is definitely what I have ๐Ÿคฃ

hol92 · 21/01/2024 13:32

Was anyone else insanely hungry around 4 1/2 weeks ? I know Alot of people have nausea on here now but I'm continuously hungry! ๐Ÿคฃ x

doitjustice95 · 21/01/2024 13:51

@Xur
