@undercoverhero74 I'm so sorry to hear that you're in the same situation too, it's just so worrying counting down the days to the next scan wondering whether they will say they need to deliver isn't it! Keeping everything crossed for you for Wednesday ❤️

miniworry · 27/01/2024 06:41

@mollybbb we used the mamaroo with our first and it was a godsend so I'm praying this one likes it too! They're pricey but usually there are loads on FB marketplace being sold, that's where we got ours from

undercoverhero74 · 27/01/2024 06:57

@miniworry thank you! It's the not knowing which is the most frustrating. My consultant is really lovely and reassured me that even if she was born now she would be perfectly ok so I'm trying to put a positive spin on things. Worst case scenario they give me an induction date at the next scan and I can look forward to meeting her early 😊
The growth scans are notoriously inaccurate and I think they are just extra cautious when it comes to growth restriction. I will keep you updated. When is your next scan?

@miniworry and @undercoverhero74 I think it's always worrying and there's a sense of blissful ignorance in not having the scans in a way. But you're being well watched and monitored, and babies are grown enough now to be okay with an earlier induction. My early induction was good, I'm a bit sad not to have one this time. Try not to worry.

@user2489 hope you're all okay

Re mats, we have these in the playroom that look really nice and are a good padded non slippery surface for tummy time, easily washable and wipeable, and also really good for my toddler to play on so last ages toddlekind.co.uk

Has anyone used soft slings for the house? Any brands to recommend?

miniworry · 27/01/2024 08:24

@undercoverhero74 yes definitely keep us updated! My next growth scan is Monday and I'll be 35+4 so we will see what happens! I think what's worrying me is the restricted growth but mild polyhydramnios because that's meant to be associated with a big baby not a small one so I'm worried that means there's an increased risk of something being wrong with baby. Your mind always worries about something doesn't it 😫

Hankthehonk · 27/01/2024 08:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 for soft sling we really like the Close Caboo, used it with my daughter and will again this time. Then into ergobaby carrier when he's bigger

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 27/01/2024 08:51

@Hankthehonk thanks so much that looks great. We really liked the Ergobaby 360 too, and this soft sling looks fab and comfy for indoors when chasing toddler around

miniworry · 27/01/2024 09:33

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 second the ergo for when they are slightly older!!

anony1111 · 27/01/2024 10:14

Speaking of slings, I got the close caboo after recommendations on here. I managed to get a brand new one on EBay for £25 so defo worth a look before buying for full price

Cheetocat · 27/01/2024 11:24

37 weeks today. After having a MMC at 11 weeks in 2022 and then ttc for an entire year after it, then spotting and bleeds from 7 to 15 weeks, I can't believe we made it to term. I am so excited to have him in my arms. I'm really thankful for this community and that we're all on this journey together!

Ebonythoughts · 27/01/2024 11:55

Congratulations! It’s such a relief isn’t it? I think most of us if not all were sort of holding our breath til we got to term and then it’s just full blown excitement for when we’ll meet our little human. ❤️

There are loads on Vinted too. I couldn’t believe the price and don’t want to risk it, so trying a used one for £15-£20 seemed like a great idea.

Cheetocat · 27/01/2024 15:19

@redxlondon I have a few nice wraps and slings favourited on vinted too, the amount you can save is crazy!

anony1111 · 27/01/2024 18:38

@redxlondon yeah I looked on vinted too, some really good second hand ones too. It's a lot of money if you don't get on with it. I've bought so much off of vinted for baby this time round

LeopardLover · 27/01/2024 20:42

Hey everyone! Do you mind if I join you? Baby is due right at the beginning of March but I'll be having a c-section so it'll be a Feb babe 🥰 I recognise a few of your names from other threads and it would be nice to be part of such an active chat again!
