@PolkaDotDot yes went really well Thankyou!! Glad yours did also
Makes it all feel real when you see baby wriggling on the screen!
I also measured a few days earlier. Given due date of 13th August

I have embraced the maternity jeans - they are still a bit big on me but gosh they are comfy. Also some oversized sweaters.

@Fawklight I was due end of Jan with my daughter - the very last in the group and then I went to 42+2 and she was born mid Feb! It felt like ages but was also great too learn from all the mums and dad's who had a few weeks of parenting down already and I got some of their handmedowns as they really do grow so fast.

It was lovely to hop on here and see all the positive dating scans. Hope everyone is feeling okay.
Just an update from our end. We had our scan with the fetal medicine consultant today as I'm now 12 weeks. The NT fluid is now within a normal range (after being increased at my 10 week NIPT) and a heart and structural scan showed nothing bar a perfectly formed little girl.

My EDD is 23rd August but DD1 arrived at 37 and 5 and DD2 at 37 and 2, so I've decided I'll knock two weeks off my due date in my head 😅

bobbles4091 · 08/02/2024 20:03

@PolkaDotDot just spotted your reply. Yes the hairband trick is getting less and less effective as the days go by 😂

90Frankie · 08/02/2024 20:04

It's so reassuring coming on and seeing positive scan news for people this week :)

I have my 12 week scan next Thursday when at 12+4. I feel so so anxious about it after having a bleed at 6 weeks. I had 2 scans at epu, 1 at 6+2 but measured 6 days behind then had a scan 2 weeks later and had caught up that week and actually measured 8+3 with strong heartbeat so they discharged me. The whole experience early on just knocked my confidence a lot and as my symptoms have started to ease this week I am just overthinking literally everything!

Really hoping to be in a similar position as those of you who had scans this week and sharing positive news next week! I need to put my positive pants on I think! 😊

Ah this is great news! So glad that all is looking well after your scare 🥰

@90Frankie ah the waiting feels interminable doesn't it! Great a strong heartbeat was seen around 8 weeks though. ☺️ Not too much longer to wait now. Soon be your turn to update us with your good news 💗

helllothere · 09/02/2024 11:55

Hi guys lovely to read about all the positive scans and also positive results people have been waiting for 😌 I have a gender scan booked for tonight , I'm one of the earlier due dates in the group but still can't believe I'm at this stage! Excited to find out!!

Mummy2823 · 09/02/2024 13:35

@helllothere arrghh!! How exciting!!! Are you hoping for one in particular??

helllothere · 09/02/2024 13:40

@Mummy2823 we already have a little
boy so I think a girl would be perfect scenario but I'm actually not that bothered. Aslong as they are healthy and fine. I just want to get organised more than anything 🤣 I will update!

SnookyPook · 09/02/2024 15:22

@helllothere ooh exciting! Definitely update us! 🥰

bobbles4091 · 09/02/2024 17:20

@helllothere so exciting you've got your scan tonight. We found out babies sex early doors too and are having our third baby girl! 🎀Looking forward to seeing whether it's one more for the girl club or one for the boys. Has anyone else found out?

CharTT33 · 13/02/2024 21:42

I’m 15 weeks today… does anyone else find it ridiculously hard to stand or walk for any length of time without getting lower back discomfort/ groin pain/ pelvic pain I get all threeeeee… 😞😒😞😒😞

pontipinemum · 13/02/2024 21:47

@CharTT33 I find it hard to go from lying down to standing and just do it slowly. Mostly just a pain down one bum cheek. I think some of the pain you are describing if your womb stretching. The baby is getting bigger

CharTT33 · 13/02/2024 23:44

@pontipinemum ahhhh ok yes I sometimes get sharp pains when I turn over in bed not when I’m getting up… the pain comes on more when I’m on my feet… 🥹🥹😟

SunSparkle · 14/02/2024 07:25

@CharTT33 your ligaments are all getting floppy. I can feel my SPD starting up from last time and I get a shooting pain down my left bum cheek when I’m changing positions. Pregnancy is so much fun!

@helllothere any updates? 😃

Mummy2823 · 14/02/2024 09:14

Just looked on Facebook for "when the poppies will bloom" but can't seem to find the fb group? Have I searched it wrong?

EMJL · 14/02/2024 09:16

Here's the link for our Facebook group! Hopefully it works and I can approve you 😊

Winnie14 · 14/02/2024 09:40

@CharTT33 I’ve been like this too since 11 weeks, mostly in my lower back and tailbone but sometimes in my groin, buttocks and hipbones too. My GP said it’s likely just everything moving around and making room for baby, but hoping it doesn’t get worse as pregnancy goes on! Heat pads on my back are a huge help though :)

bobbles4091 · 15/02/2024 18:44

I also get those odd shooting pains, especially when I sneeze 😂

CaribouCarafe · 15/02/2024 19:50

Ah I can feel my womb every time I sneeze😂

DisneyLady1 · 15/02/2024 22:39

Starting to get the aching hips again! I remember this so well from DD1.
Baby has been blocking my bladder at night these last few weeks, so had a lovely trip to A&E the other day 😂had no idea this could be a pregnancy symptom for some people! Hope no one else has that issue too !

Mummy2823 · 16/02/2024 09:20

I went out shopping yesterday and I felt so much pressure below when I was walking for too long.
Probably because I'm a plus size mumma

CharTT33 · 16/02/2024 09:42

@SunSparkle @Winnie14 honestly pregnancy is no joke 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

EmG12 · 16/02/2024 16:08

What's the difference between the facebook group and this group? I don't use facebook

Has anyone else struggled to find somewhere to get a covid vaccine? It's recommended but the NHS website says that walk in sites are closed and for vulnerable people to go to GP, but my GP has said they don't offer them anymore either.
