Thanks @SunSparkle @SnookyPook yeah so I think for trisomy21 I get results in 3-5 working days and for the genetic condition up to two weeks wait… so it’s the dreaded waiting game … 🤞🏽I’m glad everything is going well for you guys and everyone in the group though, I’ve read some amazing things ❤️❤️❤️

@Alim0 I'm A- (and my partner is +)I had an anti-d injection at some point between 16 and 20 weeks in my last pregnancies (can't exactly remember), and then depending on babies blood type at birth, if different to yours they give you another one then as well.
Some trusts seem to take this more seriously than others, for example one lady I met online was asked to wear something on her wrist to notify medics in the event of an emergency (ie a car crash) in case babies blood mixed with hers. My trust never mentioned it bar scheduling the jab.
For reassurance, I've had two healthy little girls so far.

Thanks @SnookyPook and @bobbles4091

Thats really reassuring!
We're pretty sure my partner is a + so there is a chance baby will be different to me. It's just difficult to know what you are facing when you only have things online to refer to, one site says in a first pregnancy it's not an issue as the levels dont get high enough and another says if you have a slight bleed or bump you need to get a shot within 72 hours or you will be sensitized and your body will attack your baby. I think its just the word sensitizing event that panics me!

Fawklight · 27/01/2024 22:46

Hey everyone, just wanted to quickly update to Say I bled again Friday.

My other half got me an appointment with the EPU because the kept turning me away. Everything seems to be ok. Cervix closed ect. turns out I may have an minor common infection 😕

SunSparkle · 28/01/2024 07:49

@CharTT33 thats a stressful wait and j hope it passes quickly for you. You will get some answers then and have more information which can only be a blessing than worrying. I am wishing you such a peaceful rest of your pregnancy.

@Fawklight tjat must have been scary to have another bleed but I’m so glad that EPU saw you. Are they treating the infection? Do you feel a bit more reassured?

Sav2023 · 28/01/2024 08:28

@CharTT33 sorry you’re going through such an anxious time, I hope you get the results soon and everything is good ❤️
@Fawklight Glad the EPU checked you, like everyone I’m shocked by the lack on compassion they had towards you. At least you finally managed to get checked.

Are there any 12 week scans coming up next we for anybody? 😊

CharTT33 · 28/01/2024 08:30

Thanks @Sav2023 honestly I never thought pregnancy could be so hard! 🤭

CharTT33 · 28/01/2024 08:31

@SunSparkle thank you. Xxxx

Fawklight · 28/01/2024 08:32

@SunSparkle I've got to phone on Wednesday for confirmation and then I get treatment.

SnookyPook · 28/01/2024 09:19

@CharTT33 hope the waiting passes as quickly as possible for you.

@Fawklight glad you're getting some treatment. Hope things settle for you soon.

@Sav2023 yep, got mine next Friday... Anxiety ramping up a bit again but hoping for the best. 🙏🏼🌈

CRbear · 28/01/2024 10:31

@SunSparkle so glad you got scanned and hopefully you’ll get treatment for the infection and you’ll be on your way again, plain sailing.

@CharTT33 hope the wait goes quickly for you

@Sav2023 cant believe it but yes! Mine is on Tuesday. Soooo ready now. Alternately excited and nervous. At my booking in appt they didn’t have any notes booklets to give me. Scan letter was crystal clear you need to take notes with you to scan. I’ve rung the midwife and they still don’t have notes and they weren’t very reassuring about whether they’ll still scan me. Surely they have to?!

Sav2023 · 28/01/2024 11:13

@SnookyPook awww wonderful, keep us updated how it goes ❤️. I understand the anxiety, I have no advice to give because I was bawling my eyes in the shower before my scan 😅.
@CRbear Great not long to wait! Keep us updated too!
If it helps I forgot my booklet 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was focusing more on the anxiety and worry for the scan that I just completely forgot. For me they did the scan first and then saw the midwife for the bloods, weight ect. That’s when I realised I forgot the book, felt like a right idiot. Anyway they just gave me another one.
I have transferred all my notes into one book and have a cute folder on its way from Etsy so I can keep everything together and avoid looking like a fool again….hopefully 😅
So they might not realise until after, plus there isn’t anything groundbreaking in the booklet, just take your appointment letter with you and I’m sure it will be fine xx

SnookyPook · 28/01/2024 11:27

@CRbear I've not been given a booklet yet? Do you mean the red one? I've got nothing I don't think!

CharTT33 · 28/01/2024 11:30

Thanks @CRbear xxx

Moyes1 · 28/01/2024 11:42

@Moyes1 so cute! Love seeing a scan pic - will be so exciting to see the development at 12 weeks!

Fawklight · 29/01/2024 13:00

Had my private scan. Baby all good wiggling away. Strong heart beat.

EmG12 · 29/01/2024 13:16

@Fawklight hurray, congrats!

I had a private rescan today as the one I had two weeks ago was showing two gestational sacs - with one on track but the other 2 weeks behind. The scan today confirmed that the vanishing twin is being absorbed but was a relief to see the other wriggling about and measuring on track still.
I've got my 12 week scan booked at the end of next week.

What a relief! So glad all was well! I had some spotting last night - got a scan tomorrow. Bit nervous.

@EmG12 so glad the remaining Bubba is looking healthy 💕

CaribouCarafe · 29/01/2024 15:41

@Fawklight wonderful news! PS your personal details are at the top of the scan so you might want to ask Mumsnet to delete your post, unless you're ok with it of course!

Fawklight · 29/01/2024 15:43

@CaribouCarafe I'm fine with it. I'm on the Facebook group as well and have no shame in being 31 🤣

CaribouCarafe · 29/01/2024 16:05

@Fawklight haha 😂

bobbles4091 · 29/01/2024 20:26

So lovely to see all the positive scans 🥰

@Isitisit I just wanted to come on here to jump in to the same boat as you. I had my NIPT test today and as part of the initial ultrasound I learned my baby also has an increased amount of NT fluid. It was very noticeable on the scan. So I'm just waiting for the NIPT results to come back this week, and then if low risk I have to just wait for my 12 week scan to see if it's changed at all.
Have you had any updates? Sending love.

MissKittyBrewster · 29/01/2024 22:04

It’s so reassuring to see so many positive scans. My 12 well scan is on Friday and I’m still convinced they’re not going to find anything.
Your positive scans are keeping me going though :)

0MammaBear0 · 30/01/2024 07:52

Hi, this is my first post in this thread. I'm due around early August and I'm having my first scan tomorrow... I just had a very realistic dream that I was at the scan and I was having twins. Did anyone dream of having twins and then discovering that they were indeed twins? (or the opposite lol). This is my 4th pregnancy and with my first 2 I had dreams predicting the gender

I have a friend who was told she had 1 in 5 chances of her child being born with down syndrome and then she had a healthy baby... These tests aren't very accurate, don't worry I'm sure your baby will be healthy xx
