Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

@emmatcc1 oh got yes! I keep thinking AF has turned up and rushed to the bathroom due to feeling leaky

I just want to say thank you for being kind on here, I literally have only told you girls and one of my friend who kinda spoke about it. Its nice to not have to keep to myself

I feel the same, I havent told a soul other than DH and won't for as long as possible so to be able to chat freely about it and share experiences on here is priceless 🥰

@Jeyla1230 It’s so good to have things like this. We haven’t told anyone yet but I’m dying to just tell someone! Because I had HG last pregnancy, I was so ill I ended up in hospital at 6 weeks so we had to tell people really early. This time I’m trying to wait a bit longer but we’ll see!

That's understandable, I'm sorry you had to go through that. Hope all goes well :) this sleep is crazy, last week was napping in the day, still slept well at night. Now I nap in the day still but my trying to sleep at night is a nightmare 😫😫I'm going to get test today to find out how far I am

It really is 🥰 my fella is away till beginning of jan I feel like I can't tell him through the phone it's a face to face conversation. Or am I wrong? I just feel like it will be better to do face to face

snowitall · 27/12/2023 10:55

@Fawklight I’m 31st Aug too! But that’s from my natural cycles app - I’m 4+4 and 31st aug according to that, so maybe your due date is actually September 3rd if you’re already 5 weeks?

snowitall · 27/12/2023 11:05

I’m keen to join a Facebook group too! I feel totally fine right now, not really tired either - actually feel better than normal as haven’t been drinking! We have the in laws staying with us for Christmas and hosted Christmas Day and I was so worried that they would all notice I wasn’t drinking but it’s actually very easy to pretend you’re drinking when you are the host! I just pour myself the wine and then splash it into the sink. I have had a few sips here and there and had a very light mimosa on Xmas morning. Has anyone read “expecting better” yet? All my pregnant friends have and are still having the occasional glass of wine throughout.

Bearcub01 · 27/12/2023 11:12

Don’t know about anyone else but I have a tonne of discharge. I was just walking round ikea and had to come home, was exhausted and worried I was bleeding but it’s only discharge thankfully!

GoldDustWoman90 · 27/12/2023 11:27

Hi all! Like a few others on here my due date is actually 30th August....however I'm pretty sure I ovulated late this month (progesterone test taken on CD21 was low so likely not take to long after I ovulated!)....so probably will be more towards September :)

We've been trying for number 2 for 18 months now (we were going through our first referral to the fertility clinic when we fell pregnant naturally!) so this is all very nerve wracking.

I've never had a miscarriage or chemical before, only one successful pregnancy with my daughter who is now 4. Reading on here how many people have had one before is really making me quite nervous! Making me wonder if it's something everyone goes through before having a successful pregnancy?

Reading way too much into every twinge and symptom so would be lovely to have a little group to come back to Smile

YellowZ · 27/12/2023 11:28

Hello!
I'd love to join too. I'm still v early (due date 7th of sept according to premom). This will hopefully be baby #2. My second pregnancy was ectopic so will call the Dr after new year to arrange a scan 🤞🏼
Nice to meet you all! Good luck everyone.
Hi @MrsB2019x haha

MrsB2019x · 27/12/2023 11:42

Hi @YellowZ 😂 nice to see you here!

I called EPU today and booked in my early scan for 16th January so I’ll be 6+6. Can’t wait to see them already 🥰

MudandMoet · 27/12/2023 12:16

Not a lot of discharge for me but seem to be extremely constipated (sorry tmi)

I'm going to leave it a week longer then ring the midwife for appointments. Should hopefully only be a week off being able to scan then too.

@snowitall I've not read that will have a Google. Christmas morning I had a small Buck's Fizz and then at dinner (we hosted too) DH bought me a glass of fizz in but had added copious amounts of lemonade to dilute it. No Camembert and Brie was hard, also cooked the beef more than I would have normally as read ages ago that's safer in pregnancy.

@Jeyla1230 oh wow! I bet you're dying to tell him!! How about on FaceTime or WhatsApp video so it's a bit more personal?

YellowZ · 27/12/2023 12:26

@MrsB2019x oh great, nice to have a date for your scan sorted already. I assumed I would have to go through the GP to book - will double check.

YellowZ · 27/12/2023 12:29

@GoldDustWoman90 I imagine people who have had a loss before are more likely to use the forum? Probably skews how common they appear to be.

TallulahTaboo · 27/12/2023 12:33

@Bearcub01 I think you and I have had similar pregnancy and no doubt post partum experiences through covid. We missed so much!

@snowitall I've read it and I think you should always do what feels right for you. I think as long as you are within limits of things then you'll be ok. I ate cheese and meats throughout my previous pregnancy and I was fine!

@GoldDustWoman90 don't stress! It is common but tbh unless you're trying sometimes you don't know you've had a chemical. We were trying and I tested because I was a day late and then had my chemical two days later. Had I not tested I would have thought it was a very heavy period! Stay positive and I'm sure you'll be fine!

Congratulations to all the new people/posts 🤍

midnights0 · 27/12/2023 12:48

Hi everyone! I found out I was pregnant dec 21st after 13 months of TTC and 3 MC in between. Praying this one is a sticky one. I'm due sept 3rd according to my app!

GoldDustWoman90 · 27/12/2023 13:10

@YellowZ @TallulahTaboo I'm sure you're right - my partner even said the same the other day, that the people using these boards are likely those more in need of a support group = those that likely have had a loss. The demographic could be skewed.

It's just so hard to relax isn't it!

TallulahTaboo · 27/12/2023 13:12

@GoldDustWoman90 totally. I used this forum with my first pregnancy but only because it was lock down and I had no one to relate too. Found comfort talking to people who were going through a similar journey!

YellowZ · 27/12/2023 14:06

@GoldDustWoman90 it definitely is nerve-wracking, I imagine especially if you've been trying a while. I'm trying to persuade myself to step away from testing atm...

How strange as I have 3 apps and only one says I'm due on the 28th of August.

My last Period started on the 22nd of November and I ovulated on either the 9th or 10th of December.

We'll find out our proper due dates on our first scan.

emmatcc1 · 27/12/2023 16:02

Telling my partner today and I made a cute little gift for him.

@emmatcc1 ahh this is so cute! I didn’t even know what to do I just handed my husband the test on Christmas morning after he gave me my presents

I really am 😂yeah I'll do that actually thank you for that sorry for delay I'm at work.

cuppycoffee · 27/12/2023 18:19

Hi all,

I got my positive yesterday - nausea was absolutely ridiculous! Due 1st September. 😊

MrsB2019x · 27/12/2023 19:51

@YellowZ You might be able to go straight through your EPU, I called mine today just to ask whether I needed to go to the GP first and they said no as I’ve been under them before with the ectopic they can book me straight in. Might be worth giving yours a call ☺️
