Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

Hi all, hoping I can join you here just got my BFP today at 11dpo!

This is my 2nd pregnancy, my ds is 13!! So a bit of a gap. I'm in shock even though it was very much planned.

Symptoms seem to be some nausea and reflux at the moment. I can't remember my 1st pregnancy at all so feel this is all new to me.

emmatcc1 · 29/12/2023 17:41

@Wanderlust86 Yes my first as well. In my tww my main symptoms were cramps and feeling constantly cold.
@Willow89 Congratulations!!

@Wanderlust86 congratulations 🙂ahh that's a nice bfp story. And of course it's absolutely OK to mention miscarriage x

Lemonyfire · 29/12/2023 19:51

I have an 8 year old ( will be 9 by my due date) and 11 year old who will turn 12 shortly after due date- so similar gap, very much wanted and didn’t want such a big age gap but grateful it’s happened at all!

Fawklight · 30/12/2023 11:32

A weird red lump has formed on the skin around my nipple. Not like the normal lumpy bits. Should I go to doctor or midwife or leave it?

Wanderlust86 · 30/12/2023 11:58

I think this is normal and is just to do with all the hormone changes in early pregnancy. So many weird things happen in pregnancy!

MrsB2019x · 30/12/2023 15:28

Been starting to worry about the lack of symptoms but DH has just opened a pack of chicken Sensations crisps and they smell exactly like cat food to me now.. weird first symptom to get but I’ll take it 😂

How’s everyone doing?

MudandMoet · 30/12/2023 16:08

It's funny how our sense of smell changes like this, it's a definite good sign! 😁

We've been food shopping today and while out I called for another digital CB test which I'll do first thing in the morning. I'm not an avid tester as a rule but this has been such a long time in the making and with barely any symptoms I just want to see the weeks have changed from 1-2 since Christmas Eve when I last tested. I'm dying to do it now but I don't think a wee this late in the day would be ideal, do you?

Kate543 · 30/12/2023 17:45

My last pregnancy I tested like crazy the first few weeks until the sickness kicked in! I’m trying not to be the same this time
@MudandMoet i would try to wait for the morning if you can although I know the temptation is crazy 😂

WolfMother326 · 30/12/2023 17:50

Hello everyone may I join? Just found out I'm due on 8 September. This will be my 2nd, have a 2.5 year old boy. Had a loss in September, feeling hopeful this time will be better.

No symptoms yet except mild cramps. Had this with both previous pregnancies. Anyone else have this?

cuppycoffee · 30/12/2023 17:55

Oh my god, same! Well… I was feeling peckish yesterday but couldn’t figure out what I wanted… everything I tried tasted like teabags! Well, what I imagine it would taste like if you sucked a used teabag 😂

MudandMoet · 30/12/2023 18:10

I've took it upstairs because it's shouting me to do it @Kate543 😂

Hi @WolfMother326 congratulations! Hope everything goes well this time, the anxiety following a MC is heightened no end. Mild cramping is a good sign.

Is everyone scrutinising the tissue when they wipe after a wee or is it just me? I can't get past these feelings in the back of my mind it'll end in another MC.

Lemonyfire · 30/12/2023 18:48

I feel you, I’m doing this a lot! I bled with my other pregnancies ( more than spotting) and have had some spotting already but trying to relax. Every time I feel a bit ‘wet’ TMI I run to the bathroom to check but it’s been nothing so far fingers crossed 🤞

Bearcub01 · 30/12/2023 18:52

@WolfMother326 I’ve had mild cramps everyday since testing, I don’t really remember cramps last pregnancy. No other symptoms so far, boobs are tender but not much. I guess I should be thankful of nothing yet, although you always want to feel something so you know something is happening!

Fawklight · 30/12/2023 18:53

I bled with my last pregnancy as well. Shortly after going to Yoga. Something I had been doing for 2 years pre pregnancy. I never went back.

I actually went to the gym today and I'm scared something bad will happen. I also went regularly to the gym pre pregnancy. I just adjusted my work out a bit.

MudandMoet · 30/12/2023 19:40

Ive tried to relax and have down time so much this time which has been made easy with it being over the Christmas break.

Is anyone contacting their midwife next week for appointments? I'm thinking I'll ring on Wednesday.

Also does anyone else on here have a bicornuate uterus? (Heart shaped)

Wanderlust86 · 30/12/2023 19:55

I've been told twice previously that I have a bicornuate uterus or abnormal shaped uterus. I had an internal scan after the mc and they said I don't. So who knows!

MudandMoet · 30/12/2023 20:06

That's weird then @Wanderlust86 saying that I was only told it at the scan at last MC. Sonographer said it's a higher chance of MC and probably why I can't get past 9 weeks, I wish I'd have asked more but I just thought it was odd it hadn't been picked up on before.

Wanderlust86 · 30/12/2023 20:15

Yeah I was convinced that was the reason for the mc. They told me at the last scan that the vast majority of women with a bicornuate uterus will have successful pregnancies and most will never know they have one. I'm still not sure whether I do or don't because of the different opinions. Two of the scans were by Dr's and one a sonographer.

jules5232 · 30/12/2023 20:21

Hi!! I'd like to join as well, but a bit anxious to. Due date would be the 6th and I found out on Christmas night, been waiting to get to my missed period which would be today. I had some cramping the last few days but nothing today. My last pregnancy for my daughter (2.5 years) had so many symptoms in the first few days that this feels strange!

Wanderlust86 · 30/12/2023 20:26

Congratulations @juljules5232 🎊
Same due date 🙂

MudandMoet · 30/12/2023 20:58

@Wanderlust86 I think that's right based on what I've googled since. I think some can be really severe and split almost down the middle but most aren't. Hope our little beans this time are sticky ones and in a lovely little comfortable spot.

Congratulations @jules5232 🥳

WolfMother326 · 30/12/2023 21:11

Thanks @Bearcub01 and @MudandMoet, really appreciate the encouragement and also the comments about cramps. It's pretty normal for me but always nice to hear others are experiencing similar.

@MudandMoet did you wait to test? I've got one of the weeks predictors ready for tomorrow morning...

MrsB2019x · 30/12/2023 21:16

@cuppycoffee That really made me chuckle 😂 that really doesn’t sound pleasant!

@MudandMoet Another tissue checker here 👀 it makes you so paranoid when you have had a loss

MudandMoet · 30/12/2023 21:27

@WolfMother326 yes I've waited 😇 only because I've drank gallons of Ribena today and think it would be so diluted by this evening. Hope we both get a good result in the morning 🤞🏼

@MrsB2019x phew not just me 😂 I'm only wearing light coloured pants so I can see if there's anything there when I whip them down for my 2863 tiddles per day too 🤦🏼‍♀️ it sends you crackers this stage.
