Hello, congratulations on your positive/pregnancy.

I got my positive yesterday after experiencing a chemical in October so really happy. Also unbelievably anxious.

Thought I'd join your thread to keep my mind from wandering into those anxious thoughts! xx

Hello! Congratulations!!

Also got my positive yesterday, baby #2 and both conceived first time trying, so I can’t believe our luck!! I was so ill from 5dpo, not sure if it was pregnancy related or I was just generally sick but feel better now. I had HG with my first so I’m worried about any sickness starting and how I’m going to cope this time round! Now trying to remember things from last pregnancy, it all feels new again! Need to call the doctor tomorrow and get set up with appointments.

Fawklight · 26/12/2023 17:54

Hi guys, I'm tentatively joining. I'm 5 weeks exactly and due 31st of August probably.

Because I'm on the last day of August I have no idea if I sit here or in the due August group 🤣

Also because I am so early I'm nervous about joining a group. 🤷

emmatcc1 · 26/12/2023 18:15

Congratulations everyone!
I’m so anxious something is gonna go wrong. Yesterday I had nausea all day but today it was only in the morning and I’m already freaking out something’s not okay. I still feel like it’s not real.

Hi hope it's ok if I join too! Got my bfp last week after 8 months of trying, absolutely over the moon. My cycles have been quite irregular so based off my last period I'm due August 30th but I ovulated late so from that should be due first week September. Not too sure really but late August/ early September is what I'm going with. I need to pee quite a bit, my boobs are big, I've been cramping quite a lot but that seems to be easing a little was bad to start with though. Very minor nausea but not much yet. Baby#1 for us:) will be lovely to have a group to talk to as September feels a long way away at the moment!

Fawklight · 26/12/2023 19:03

@emmatcc1 I think it's normal to come and go. I don't feel so sick as I did. But the heartburn has always stuck with me. I don't expect symptoms to ramp up just yet.

@GHJ I'm late August too 🙈 I can't decide if I should also join the August group as well. 🤷

emmatcc1 · 26/12/2023 19:14

@Fawklight I know everything’s okay I’m just panicking for no reason. I guess because it took so long I’m now anxious to lose it.

I wanted to join the August thread as I’m due around September 3rd and there wasn’t a September thread yet but the August one has already reached 1000 comments and no one made a new one.

Congratulations everyone!
I think I'm due 2nd Sept. I'm trying to not get too excited yet because it's such early days and I can't help but worry. I've been feeling exhausted, have sore boobs, bloating, some intermittent nausea and some cramps. It feels like a lot of symptoms for this early on! Does anyone else have lots of symptoms already?

I definitely know what you mean, with my first it took so long to fall pregnant. I kept going for scans. I had one at 7 weeks then 8 weeks as I convinced myself I had an ectopic. Then I had a bit of bleeding. I then brought one privately at 10 weeks. I kept convincing myself there was something wrong. I didn't breath properly until I was 15 weeks pregnant.

Im happy to stay in this group.

emmatcc1 · 26/12/2023 19:46

@TeapotRo My symptoms are nausea, cramping, insomnia, increased sense of smell, sore boobs and nipples and lots of sweating.

@Fawklight I can’t wait for the first scan to make me feel better.

Hi everyone,

I tested positive yesterday morning (faint line) and all going well, based off current dates, I’ll be due 5 September. We already have our DS (14 months) so this will be our second baby.

It’s happened faster than expected so trying not to get too overwhelmed by the prospect of 2 under 2 and my period isn’t actually due until 28th December so taking each day as it comes.

symptoms so far - mild nausea (a surprise as I didn’t have any at all with first pregnancy), cramps, back pain and tiredness. Currently in bed with two hot water bottles one on front and one on back to manage the pain. With my first pregnancy we set up a Facebook group - quite a good way of keeping in contact - is that something people would be keen to do?

Congratulations to you too! I'm a new mum to be so nerve wracking

Jeyla1230 · 26/12/2023 19:59

I'm around 4-5 weeks, first time being a mum without issue so far. Had two miscarriages previous so I'm really hopeful for this one. The sickness oh my(more the feeling of nausea not been sick).. and the sore boobs I thought it was bad when I had periods 😫😂.

emmatcc1 · 26/12/2023 20:11

@Jeyla1230 I can relate on the sickness. I’ve been literally gagging every 5 minutes in the morning.

Do any of you have any cravings? I’ve been wanting carrots cooked in broth since last week.

Congratulations everyone. Nice to be on the journey with you all 🤍

Second baby for me, DS is nearly 3 and been trying for the last few months. Was so happy when I found out I was pregnant last time and then turned into a chemical. Had a terrible labour too (ended up in HDU) so combined together I'm a nervous wreck this time round.

I'm also SO bloated but trying to blame the turkey and cheese and biscuits 😂 I had nausea up to 20 weeks last time and z I've got it really bad again. Hoping it subsides a little 🙏🏻

It's only been past two days this sickness feeling its just something else. I've been wanting chocolate but I really want salsa dips with crisps or watermelon 😂

Jeyla1230 · 26/12/2023 20:26

Do I call doctors tomorrow to book midwife etc I don't know what I'm doing this is new. Thank you

TallulahTaboo · 26/12/2023 20:26

@Jeyla1230 sorry for your losses too. It's such an awful experience but so common 🤍

And nothing worked for me last time with the nausea. I tried every piece of ginger and ginger related food and nothing. I started wearing anti sickness bands and they helped a little!

TallulahTaboo · 26/12/2023 20:28

@Jeyla1230 yes or your local pregnancy care clinic. They will ask for the first day of your last period and then give you all the information about your MW appointments and scan. xx
