I had my baby on the 20th and I have to admit he is gorgeous!!!! I have a baby boy called Harvey, labour was about 3 1/2 hours so quick but very painful as he was back to back which made the pushing stage tougher than with the girls. The girsl love him too and everytime we look at him we all 'aahhh'. It was tough getting here but well worth all of the stress.

Congrats to Janus and Makescakes.

RosyBelle · 24/05/2008 21:22

Massive Congrats Goingfor3
Harvey sounds amazing!

Thanks everyone - its good to be back.
Yes Jules - we had given up hope as the last pregnancy was a result of still being stimulated by the IVF drugs (or so we thought).

I have sold everything from my DD - pram, the lot.

Just scared for the next scan as I have been here before only for it to fail.

How are you Jules?? Give me a quick update to save me reading through the whole thread... you must be due soon if you are buying PJ's

Am back to being an hourly knicker checker.

Good afternoon everyone - hope everyone is doing OK today. I have only posted on here a few times, but wanted to add myself to the list if that is OK. I had my nuchal scan on Friday and it went really well, despite getting myself in a complete state about it. It was fantastic to see how much it had grown in 3 weeks and I am now relaxing a bit about the whole pregnancy, I even managed to sleep on Friday night! Hopefully now I am past the 12 week mark it might start to speed up a bit - I cannot believe how slowly the past 3 months have gone!

KashaSarrasin · 25/05/2008 18:22

Goingfor3 Huge congratulations and welcome baby Harvey!!!!

Rosybelle congratulations on your new pregnancy, I hope you have a happy, healthy and entirely uneventful nine months

mermaid sorry to hear about your loss - I can also recommend the MC Avengers ladies, they kept me sane (well, sanish) after my two m/cs. And hopefully you'll be back here before too long!

toratora glad to hear your nuchal scan went OK

ILTS - ha ha I am back!!!! (maybe not for long but it feels good)

I have to say ladies - you have all given me hope. I remember so many names (I guess from a m/c thread) - Cricri, Jules, Tjuice, Goingfor3 & Ronshar - oh and ILTS)
And here you all are having successful pregnancies after m/c - even more than 1 m/c in some cases. When I got the BFP I thought 'Oh F* here I go again' but reading this thread gives me a warm feeling that this could be the one. Sorry for slushy and hormonal rant

Also giving me hope is that fact that I am sick as a dog (I had hypermesis with DD but not with 2 m/c).

Luv to all....
Ilts - did you keep my personal email address before you opted out of fb?

iliketosleep · 25/05/2008 20:33

lol jules not people just blurting out "oh my god what a fat cow you are"

more along the lines of "wow your pretty big, you cant have long left now" cue the when i say 3 months lol

I was never that big with other 3 so this is all new to me, bak ache, swollen ankles, groaning like an old man when i try to stand up, getting dp to put my socks on for me

she was measuring big at my 20 week scan though near enough the top of the centile bar thing for femur and biaparetal (sp?)

Oh forgot to mention I become a auntie to my second nephew within the next 11 days, hopefully!! DBs dp had m/c week before me but got caught again 5 days (!!!) later so woohooooooo

iliketosleep · 25/05/2008 20:36

poppy27 · 25/05/2008 23:33

Hi everyone
Just to let you know that I will be signing off here for now as very sadly I had some bleeding on Sat morning which resulted in an appt at our local gynae ward. They did a speculum check and womb was still closed at that point (no scans at weekend) and I came home but not before the very lovely female dr checked over my notes and said that she could see I had had a lupus anticoagulant blood test and that my levels were elevated and that if my bleeding stopped to begin taking 75mg daily asprin and she also wishes to refer me to another dr at the hosp who specialises in women with this type of condition. Unfortunately during last night I began to miscarry and called hosp back and now have an appt with epu tomorrow morning for a scan to see how things are progressing. I am just so disappointed that this has happened again so soon after the last mc in feb but have been inspired by all your positive stories. Thanks again.

KashaSarrasin · 25/05/2008 23:44

(((Poppy))) Oh no, I'm so sorry I'll be thinking of you xxx

Hi everyone,

Poppy just to say, sorry for your loss and there are a few of us on the miscarriage thread giving eachother support right now. I miscarried a week ago and have found it a life line talking to others and supporting eachother. You are very welcome to join us if you want a chat, or if you prefer not to- take care and hopefully I will see you on this thread soon! ((((((hug))))))))

Emmsy1 · 26/05/2008 12:08

poppy wish there was something I could do for you, my heart goes out to you, take care xx

cricri · 26/05/2008 13:33

Poppy So sorry to hear your news

poppy27 · 26/05/2008 14:46

Thanks everyone for your kind messages. Just back from epu and had a scan which confirmed that a complete miscarriage has taken place (well still taking) but that thankfully my womb lining is in a normal range and I won't need an erpc. Was also told I still had eggs! Sonographer was being very kind and I felt like a factory/chicken. Am now getting an apt made with the dr at our local hosp who deals with my kind of case so hopefully that will be sooner rather than later. Last night I broke out in a hive type rash all over my body and panicked and called nhs 24 who told me to take an anti histamine and that it was probably caused by stress!!!!! Thankfully after an itchy night it has gone. Have been told the usual about waiting for one full cycle before trying again and given a leaflet from the mc assoc from the nurse at the hosp and sent on my merry way.
mummy2olivia I think I will join you on the mc thread as bottling it up is obviously making me ill. My dd is going to go and collect ds from school as I am still in pain and quite honestly don't want to burst into tears in the playground if one of my friends ask how I am. Can save that for tomorrow.

lackaDAISYcal · 26/05/2008 18:22

Oh, poppy .

I'm so so sorry for your loss; it just seems so unfair.

Like jules though am a bit at your GP for treating you the way he did, and for not listening to you or chasing up your test reaults. Although it probably feels like the last thing on your mind, I suggest a very strongly worded letter of complaint to your local PCT when you feel strong enough.

It sounds like you are at least going to get some help from the hospital now, and fingers crossed we'll see you back here before too long.

Take Care of yourself. love daisy xx
