Hello ladyhelen, and all the best! Also welcome to Tilly, what a cute name
Had my scan today, and the sonographer was a bint, but the results look ok I think.
I'm 5+3 and she saw a 6mm gestational sac, plus a yolk sac on an abdominal scan.
Her opening words to me were "We don't scan this early. I won't see anything." So I asked why they'd accepted the referral from my GP in that case, and she said "We have to. But we're trying to get the protocol changed. We'll re-scan in 3 weeks, but don't come back unless you have a gush of red blood." And that was it, no internal scan or anything!
Bizarrely I wasn't that upset (I normally cry at anything!), after all what she saw looked as ok as possible at this stage. And it means that growth must have happened since I've been spotting, because I've been spotting for a week. I'm still spotting though, so 3 weeks is going to drag.
I understand that she might find it frustrating, but it wasn't my fault that I'd been referred too early, and it was really rude to take it out on me.
Sorry to go on a bit, but it has been a weird day.
