Can I join this please? I lost my baby at 5w 3d last Wednesday night and I’m dying to try again & get our rainbow baby 🌈

Amberellaella · 06/11/2023 18:25

Hi @1111hope, really sorry to hear of your loss. We’ve all actually recently had BFPs following losses early this year. You are of course welcome to join us, but we’ll probably be talking about our pregnancies as they develop!

Liz2681 · 06/11/2023 18:41

@1111hope - I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I had my MC at around the same time in Sept and it was devastating. I was also really hard on myself to TTC again right away, so was really gutted when my next cycle arrived with no BFP. I’d say give yourself as much time as you need and let yourself feel all of those emotions - it’ll help in the long run.

Although this thread has all of us who’ve had BFPs recently (and you’re of course more than welcome to join!), I’d recommend the other thread @Kewchoc started after her loss which I found really helpful during my TTC journey, and there’s some lovely ladies on there who will be in a similar boat: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/conception/4884254-1dpo-any-cycle-buddies-out-there?page=19

Best of luck 💜

Amberellaella · 06/11/2023 19:03

Thanks @Liz2681 - that’s what I was trying to say but much less articulately!

In other news, how are you doing? Have you tested again today?

Liz2681 · 06/11/2023 19:11

@Amberellaella don't be silly - pressed send before I saw your message where you'd already covered everything 😆

Today's been ok. Nausea has been better but I've noticed my appetite has decreased loads. I also noticed I’ve developed tender boobs 😬

Had a bit of a panic because my easy@home tests are still so bloody faint, so did a Clearblue manual test which was positive. It's so easy to panic isn't it 🤦🏻‍♀️ only got a faint FRER positive yesterday so it's still early. Gonna do another FRER tomorrow though so will hopefully see more line progression!

How about you?

Kewchoc · 06/11/2023 20:04

@1111hope Hello, so sorry for your loss, it's utterly heartbreaking and I hope you're okay. I echo what the others have said, you are more than welcome to join but depending on how you're feeling it might be upsetting as we are all now thankfully pregnant again (which I'm sure you will be again soon)

@Liz2681 Try not to worry too much about faint tests at this point, I did the exact same thing and think it's really quite common! Plus sore boobs is always a good sign 😊 you're right though it's so easy to panic. If you look on our other thread, one of the girls who got her bfp a few weeks ago has recently uploaded a photo of her easy@home line progression which were all fairly faint but she's now had a scan and all is well!

Also hello @Amberellaella ..felt bad tagging the others and not you while there are so few comments 🤣 how are you feeling today?

Amberellaella · 06/11/2023 20:14

Ha! @Kewchoc, give it time. Hopefully this thread will get as full as the last one ☺️

I’m doing well, saw some nice line progression this morning! Exhaustion is kicking in but sickness at bay - for now… Given that I had hyperemesis in both my previous pregnancies I’m bracing myself for the onslaught!

Good news @Liz2681 about your spotting getting better! I feel your pain re: the boobs, mine are killing me!

1111hope · 06/11/2023 20:53

Thanks everyone - I’ll check out the other thread too! I’m excited to watch you all progress and hopefully surrounding myself with positive pregnant energy will result in my rainbow baby too 🌈 so happy for you all 🤍

Liz2681 · 06/11/2023 21:07

@Kewchoc thanks, I'll check that out 😊 so difficult not to panic after having had a loss😬 hopefully seeing some line progression will ease some of the anxiety across the next few days.

@Amberellaella oh man hyperemesis is rough. Hopefully the nausea isn't too bad this time.

What DPO is everyone at? I'm 12DPO which still feels super early, but looking forward to seeing more progress!

Amberellaella · 07/11/2023 06:51

I’m 4+3 ☺️ - switched premom to pregnancy mode! Starting to feel a bit more real now, all being well for the rest of this week I’ll do the self referral to maternity services on Monday and book my first private scan x

Kewchoc · 07/11/2023 07:16

@Amberellaella Oh did you really, that's awful isn't it. When did it kick in with your other pregnancies? Did/could you take medication for it? I'm the same with exhaustion kicking in, fell asleep on the sofa at about 9 last night HOWEVER I then woke up at 2.30 this morning and have been awake since so currently feel horrendous. I've struggled with insomnia in early pregnancy every time Ive been pregnant so I'm just hoping this passes quickly

@Liz2681 It's really hard not to panic, but it will get easier as we all get further along I'm sure. I know what you mean about being super early, I'm 15DPO and feel like I'm making it all up in my head haha.

I changed Premom to pregnancy mode last week then changed it back so I could track how many days late my period is 🤣 I don't know why, I just wanted to get a good few days past missing my period and getting a digital test before I changed it!

Morning all!

Feeling a bit more optimistic today as starting to see lime progression in my easy@home tests. Not loads, but it felt like I went on a downward spiral yesterday, causing a huge amount of stress. Just telling myself now that regardless of what I track, the outcome will be the same either way.

Still debating whether to change my Premom app yet 😆 last time I did and tried to switch it back after the MC it messed up the calculations on my cycle so will probably hold out for another week or so. I'm tracking with Pregnancy+ which is pretty great tbf and has loads of info.

@Amberellaella - I'm 3w, 6d so not too far behind you! For when do you think you'll book your ultrasound? I'm going to do the same, probably around end of Nov/beginning of Dec.

@Kewchoc I'm the same. Woke up this morning at 4am and struggled to get back to sleep. The nausea and heartburn have also come back this morning 🥴

Amberellaella · 07/11/2023 10:41

Well, the first time I could cope without medication because it was during Covid so I was working at home full time with no other commitments 😂

Last time it was much worse, possibly because I had DD to run after, and I ended up in hospital on a drip until I got the medication.

This time I know to get onto the docs as soon as it gets bad…

Amberellaella · 07/11/2023 11:04

@Liz2681 I’m planning on going this time next week, so I’ll be 6+3, then again at about 8 weeks to check progress. Pleased to hear you’re getting good line progression - it’s really reassuring isn’t it?

@Kewchoc insomnia is the worst when you’re so tired! Hopefully it’s just temporary. How is your DS for sleeping? DD seems to have gone back to her usual wake-up time of 6/6:30 thank goodness. Looks like it was just the clock change that put her into pre-5am wake up mode!

tlw14 · 07/11/2023 11:11

Morning lovely ladies @Kewchoc @Amberellaella @Liz2681
How is everyone doing??

i am thinking of booking in a private scan for next friday, i will be 6+2 then.. that is if the EPAU don't agree to do the scan.
Deffo got tender breasts, still keep getting cramping though on my left side which i don't remember with my previous pregnancy, nor do i remember with my MC either. I am pleased with my lines so trying not to overthink it too much at the moment!

Kewchoc · 07/11/2023 12:49

@Liz2681 Glad to hear you're seeing more line progression, I think that's one of the few things we have to reassure us at this early stage. I still started panicking about mine today even though they are progressing and quite dark 🙄 I've just caved and done a digital now which is saying 2-3 weeks though so I'm pleased about that!

@Amberellaella Yeah I really hate being sleep deprived! It sets my anxiety off which is never helpful. DS was an absolutely horrendous sleeper for the first year of his life but is thankfully a really good sleeper now - generally sleeps 7.30-7.30 with no wakeups unless he's poorly or teething etc. it's a fairly recent thing though so I'm wanting to make the most of it before having a newborn again but apparently my body has other plans!

@tlw14 That sounds like a good plan. How strong is your cramping? I've also had cramping the last few days, it's so mild I don't think I'd even notice it if I wasn't aware I was pregnant but it's so hard not to worry isn't it. I do vaguely remember it happening when I was pregnant with ds though, it's likely down to extra blood flow and things starting to stretch (which is mental when you think about how small the baby currently is!)

OP posts:
tlw14 · 07/11/2023 14:25

@Kewchoc Yes mine are similiar. I am sure i wouldnt think twice about it if i wasnt knowingly pregnant. Just start to overthink every slight change or twinge!

Liz2681 · 07/11/2023 14:58

@tlw14 good plan. I think I'm going to do the same but was reading that they may not see a heartbeat at 6 weeks so wondering whether to push it to 7. That would take me to the beginning of December, so don't know if I can wait that long!

Interesting re the cramping - I started getting some today as well, some of it localised to my left side, some of it all over. Not sure what to make of it 🤔 likely all perfectly normal as @Kewchoc says and likely related to all the stretching and hormones!

Amberellaella · 07/11/2023 16:15

Oh, I’ve had cramping on and off since my BFP. It’s settled now so I assume it was just little bean embedding herself!

Kewchoc · 07/11/2023 17:09

I think the fact we've all had the cramping is probably a good sign then 😊

God, I am absolutely shattered. I'm supposed to finish work at 6 but I'm logging off now so I can lay down before I pick ds up from nursery, I really hope I sleep better tonight. I think I might take some magnesium supplements before bed. They are supposedly really helpful if you suffer from morning sickness/nausea too so may be useful for some of you in the coming weeks 😊

HashB · 07/11/2023 19:14

@Kewchoc thanks so much for including me, but I ended up having another miscarriage at 9ish weeks and d&c last week. So happy to see your lovely news though, so pleased you and @Amberellaella you’ve been Mumsnet pals since the start! I really hope you all have healthy happy pregnancies xxx

Amberellaella · 07/11/2023 20:17

Oh no @HashB, how utterly heartbreaking! I’m so sorry to hear of your new loss. Here for you if you need to talk - I had a D&C last time so I know how horrible it is. X

Agathapoirot · 07/11/2023 20:28

@HashB I am so sorry hear that, look after yourself x

Kewchoc · 07/11/2023 20:30

Oh @HashB I am so so sorry. I really do hope you're okay, I don't really know what else I can even say but please do reach out if you want to talk through anything. Sending you love 💐
