So sorry to hear that @Liz2681, will be thinking of you tomorrow. I really do hope it’s good news for you x

Amberellaella · 14/11/2023 14:42

@Liz2681 so pleased your GP is being so understanding. Hope all goes well tomorrow x

Kewchoc · 14/11/2023 20:08

Hello everyone,

@Liz2681 So sorry to hear that, I hope you're as okay as you can be. Good news about your GP and EPU, hopefully you will get some answers 💐

@tlw14 I agree with what the others have said, it's still so early to find a heartbeat so I'd try not to be disheartened although I do know it's still disappointing not to see more. Hopefully the next week passes quickly for you and your scan will be here before you know it!

@Amberellaella exciting news about your scan! I have also booked one for the Saturday which will be the day before I'm 7 weeks 😊 Have you heard anything from the midwives yet after registering your pregnancy? I still haven't done it, I was going to do it last week after reading your post but just seem to talk myself out of it!

I'm absolutely exhausted at the moment which I'm taking as a good sign but other than that and heavy boobs I don't particularly have any symptoms currently. Trying not to worry though as it's still so early and I did read symptoms often start properly after around 6 weeks 😊

Amberellaella · 15/11/2023 08:36

@Kewchoc sort of - I got sent a link to badgernotes, which is what my trust use to store maternity records online. Still haven’t had the appointment through though, I think they try and see you at about 8 weeks so still plenty of time.

Symptoms have properly landed here - the best way to describe how I’m feeling is that it’s like day 2 of a bad hangover. I’m pleased in a way because my anxiety has been through the roof since the weekend. Now I know that symptoms are no guarantee that everything is Ok, but I do feel reassured that something is happening, which should hopefully tied me over until the scan next week.

Early symptoms are normal for me but my SIL didn’t start feeling anything until week 7 with both her successful pregnancies, so if you’re not feeling anything yet then that’s totally fine as well ☺️

I went for dinner with a mum friend last night and hashed it all out with her - she had a mc between two successful pregnancies so can properly sympathise! I feel so much better for it, and for getting out of the house and my own head for a couple of hours ☺️

Agathapoirot · 15/11/2023 17:53

@Liz2681 - was thinking of you today, hope all went well?

Kewchoc · 15/11/2023 17:59

@Amberellaella Ah I've heard of badger notes before but I'm not sure I can use it 🤔 hopefully you'll get an appointment date soon. Oh yes, symptoms are a good sign aren't they, although I hope you're not feeling too poorly! To be fair, I'm saying I don't have many symptoms but I'm forgetting about insomnia and exhaustion which is absolutely kicking my arse haha. I did feel quite nauseous today but that could just be because some genius at work had the heating on really high all day and it was far too hot! It's so helpful to speak to others who have been where you are now isn't it. I'm glad seeing your mum friend made you feel better 😊

@Liz2681 I have also been thinking of you today, I hope you got some positive news and answers x

@Amberellaella -Day 2 of a hangover is the perfect description of how I’m feeling!

Liz2681 · 15/11/2023 19:05

Hi all,

Had my US today - not good news I'm afraid, as they couldn't see anything (not even a sac) so it does appear I miscarried. They took bloods to test HCG, but I suspect they'll be low (although my pregnancy test this morning was positive) when I get the results tomorrow.

Overall, the EPU seem to be taking it seriously, so I'm going to talk to them tomorrow when I get my results about next steps. One of the Tommy's miscarriage research centres is also based at that EPU so they mentioned they may get in touch for research purposes. They were all really lovely and understanding but just feeling a bit crap, even though I knew it was coming. Will be having a massive glass of wine tonight I think!

Glad to hear it's going well for you guys 😊 it's actually comforting to know some of the things you guys have been through but have made it out the other side ❤️ gives me a bit of hope!

Agathapoirot · 15/11/2023 19:23

@Liz2681 I’m so sorry to hear that, but glad you’re feeling supported and that the epu and GP etc are taking this as seriously as it should be. Enjoy that wine, you deserve it x

Amberellaella · 15/11/2023 19:58

Oh no @Liz2681, I’m so sorry to hear that. Sending a massive hug. It is good that they’re taking you seriously though and hopefully they can help to make the next one stick. Enjoy that glass of wine as best you can xxxx

Kewchoc · 16/11/2023 07:19

@Liz2681 Oh no, so sorry 😞 I agree with the others, good news that EPU are taking it seriously and supporting you with next steps, though I imagine that's still feeling a little hollow at this point. I'm not sure how you would feel about staying on the thread but if it's not going to be too upsetting for you please do stay, it's been lovely talking to you all and I don't want you to feel that you can't join in now xx

@Liz2681 I am so sorry and i mirror everyone elses comments. Sending love xxx

Liz2681 · 16/11/2023 10:17

Thanks all 💜 I'll probably move away from the forums for now, but will keep an eye on this thread to see how you guys are getting on, as it's still really lovely to see the updates - I'll hopefully pop up again soon with good news! xx

Agathapoirot · 16/11/2023 20:10

How are you all doing? My symptoms have eased and I’m trying not to read too much into it! Got another scan booked for 9+1 on Sunday. This is the week when the previous baby stopped growing, so feeling pretty anxious for this one!

When are your scans booked for? How are your symptoms?

Amberellaella · 16/11/2023 22:32

Awwww, @Agathapoirot, really feel for you; that’s one of my milestones too. I’m sure all is fine though and easing of your symptoms just natural variability. Hope all goes well on Sunday - that’s really not long to wait!

I’m sat in A&E because I burned my arm making soup this eve. I’m totally fine, just mad at myself for getting in this situation when I’d much rather be at home asleep right now 😂

Agathapoirot · 17/11/2023 20:29

@Amberellaella - Oh no! Nothing too serious I hope? Back at home and recovering?

Amberellaella · 17/11/2023 21:32

Ah, I’m fine. It looked bad but just turned out to be superficial, I probably wouldn’t have bothered going if it wasn’t for the baby re: infection risk.

How are you feeling @Agathapoirot? Hope not too nervous ahead of Sunday x

Agathapoirot · 18/11/2023 08:08

Definitely better to get it checked out! Glad you’re okay.

I’m alright, very nervous. Just feel like I’m walking a thin line between ‘Stay positive, this time will be different’ and ‘Don’t get attached, it’s still early days’ which is a little exhausting!

I’m hoping that after the 12 week scan my brain will let me relax a little! Hopefully appointment will be through next week and I’ll know whether to wait or book another private one.

I’ve got a work trip to Italy Monday to Thursday so I’m sure that will make the week flyby and I’ll be a little closer to the 12 week appointment!

How are you all doing? Symptoms ramping up? Counting down the days to your scans too?

Kewchoc · 18/11/2023 09:06

Morning ladies!

@Amberellaella Oh no just seen about your arm! Glad it's nothing too serious, I'd probably do the same at the moment though in regards to getting it looked at incase of infection. Is your scan this weekend?

@Agathapoirot I know what you mean about walking the thin line, I'm exactly the same and sometimes think that I haven't even accepted I'm actually pregnant! Have your symptoms come back again? Mine are definitely ramping up which is a good sign obviously but I'm feeling rubbish! Your work trip sounds great, I wish I got to go to Italy for work, the furthest I ever go for work is various managers offices to hear them complain! 🤣 (I work in HR)

My scan is booked for a week today, I thought I'd be desperate to get a scan sooner by this point but i actually feel okay. I think because the baby was measuring so far behind last time it feels like a good idea to wait a bit longer

OP posts:
Agathapoirot · 18/11/2023 09:20

They definitely seem to have eased off, last week I felt really queasy all the time and just had to keep eating. This week it’s not been so bad. Boobs are still a bit sore though.

I’m the same I’ve got a bag of pregnancy books and things in the cupboard from last time and I just can’t bare to bring them back out until we’ve had that 12 week scan!

I’m sure the trip will be lovely, but it’s not as glamorous as it sounds 🤣 I work in finance and I’m going to do a stocktake at one of our suppliers, so I’ll be counting aluminium parts for 2 days 🤣

Amberellaella · 18/11/2023 09:58

@Agathapoirot but you’ll be counting aluminium parts in Italy ☺️ Hopefully the weather will be a bit nicer than over here. Shame you can’t enjoy the wine 🤣

I have been feeling the same as you - went to get my maternity leggings out this morning because any pressure on my stomach makes me feel sicker, but decided to wait until after the scan (on Tuesday) because it just seemed a bit too soon. Fortunately my normal leggings are pretty stretchy anyway!

@Kewchoc feeling rubbish here too - sending solidarity! Nevermind, when I was pregnant with DD they subsided about 20 weeks so only another 14 to go 😭

Kewchoc · 19/11/2023 10:55

I'm really struggling today. I've had pretty intense nausea every morning for a while but today I feel absolutely fine so it's really making me worry. It's ridiculous because yesterday I felt absolutely horrendous! The nausea tends to be when I'm hungry and last night we had a massive Chinese takeaway which got here fairly late so I wasn't particularly hungry this morning... so the lack of nausea can be explained I suppose but still just feeling super stressed. I had a spare digital which I've done and it's still saying 3+ weeks which is positive but I dunno I just have a bad feeling

OP posts:
Amberellaella · 19/11/2023 11:50

@Kewchoc, easier said than done but try not to worry. I distinctly remember when I was pregnant with DD that I would have the odd day of feeling totally fine, but then it was head down the toilet time again the next day… Do an easy@home if you’re not sure - seeing it super saturated might help in a way that trusting the CB to interpret the line right might not x

Kewchoc · 19/11/2023 11:55

@Amberellaella I did actually get a wave of nausea not long after posting this which made me feel a little better. I was going to do an easy@home but I didn't realise I didn't have any left! I'm just going to try and keep busy today then when I'm back at work tomorrow I've got a lot on so hopefully this week will go fast then I have my scan on Saturday anyway x

OP posts:
Agathapoirot · 19/11/2023 15:50

My symptoms have done the same this week, but scan today showed that baby has grown exactly as it should have, still measuring bang on at 9+1. Little potato now has arms and legs and was wiggling around 🥹
