Hello ladies!! I feel like I've forgotten someone but not sure who?!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Liz2681 · 07/11/2023 20:32

@HashB so sorry for your loss 😔 wishing you all the best very in your TTC journey x

Amberellaella · 08/11/2023 08:35

How’s everyone feeling this morning? X

Kewchoc · 08/11/2023 08:44

@Amberellaella I have actually felt really nauseous this morning, I actually thought I may be sick. Seems to have gone off now that I've forced some crumpets down! Taking it as a good sign though 😊 my easy@home test was a lot darker this morning too. How are you? x

OP posts:
Liz2681 · 08/11/2023 09:29

@Amberellaella still struggling to sleep. Didn't wake up with as much nausea this morning, but my easy@home test lines are progressing.

Stupidly did a Clearblue digital test (not with first morning urine) and got a 'Not pregnant' reading. Now I'm panicking wondering what's going on or whether I've just shot myself in the foot by not using FMU or if this is another chemical. I'm 14 DPO today so would have hoped to get a positive '1-2 week' reading!

tlw14 · 08/11/2023 09:52

@HashB I am so so sorry to hear this, hope you are doing ok and taking some time for yourself.

@Amberellaella @Kewchoc Im feeling ok! My little boy isn't very well at the moment and was up most the night so feeling tired! Boobs feel achey as well today and can feel like twinges in them!

Other than that i feel ok actually.

You might of had a dodgy CB, i had one which just didn't work which was really disappointing. I have booked a scan in for sunday.. from LMP i will be 6weeks and 2 days, from my peak ovulation i will 5 weeks and 4 days. Just feel like i need it though, really need the reassurance this time around and i will book in as many as i feel i need to try and keep me sane even if it is only for a minute!

Amberellaella · 08/11/2023 10:17

@Liz2681 god how stressful. At least your easy@home is showing progression so hopefully it’s just a dodgy test as @tlw14 says. I’d probably take another one tomorrow with fmu and until then do a ‘normal’ CB so that you can see the line for yourself.

@tlw14 I’m with you re: scans! Planning to do fortnightly from 6+2 but will definitely book more if I feel like I need them!

@Kewchoc same here re: nausea this morning; a protein bar seemed to help. It’s still perfectly manageable though so will enjoy it while it lasts!

Liz2681 · 08/11/2023 10:33

Thanks everyone. I think the tests just aren't very sensitive. Did a easy@home with the same urine and that came back positive (photo below) so that put my mind at ease. Only did the digital because the easy@home was so clear, but now feel like I wasted a test!

Good to see everything everyone's doing well 😊. @tlw14 hope your ultrasound goes well. I'm going to get one booked in at 6 weeks. Completely understand about needing reassurance - I don't want to continue to get my hopes up and then find out there's an issue 10-12 weeks down the line when I could have known sooner. Until then the wait until the ultrasound is gonna feel like forever 😆

Kewchoc · 08/11/2023 18:24

@Liz2681 Try not to worry too much about the clearblue test, you're only just at the point of getting 1-2 weeks and it wasn't fmu so I'm sure it's just that! I know it's hard though. I've heard such mixed reviews about those tests, some people think they're more sensitive and others think they're much less sensitive! That's a good line on your easy@home test too so I'm sure all is well 😊

@tlw14 Glad you're not feeling too bad and hope you have a better night with your little boy tonight. I must admit I am a bit worried about handling that sort of thing once I'm heavily pregnant! Good choice to book the scan, I think we will all feel better once we've had our early scans! I was going to book one for 8 weeks but I just can't wait that long so aiming for 7 weeks but who knows whether I'll be able to hold out 🤣

@Amberellaella
How have you felt for the rest of the day? I've felt absolutely fine since breakfast so I'm hoping it carries on that way and I don't end up with all day nausea again.

OP posts:
Agathapoirot · 08/11/2023 18:46

I’m with you on the fortnightly scans, got another one booked for next Sunday at 9 weeks. My booking appointment is Friday, so hoping I’ll get the 12 week scan appointment through so I can decide whether to have an 11 week one or not. (Probs will, let’s be real 🤣)

Amberellaella · 08/11/2023 19:01

@Kewchoc bit rough on and off but still nothing I can’t handle. So far this feels loads more like my first (successful) pregnancy than my last one - I.e. gradually feeling worse rather then nothing for two weeks then straight to HG - so hopefully that’s a good sign x

I don’t know about you guys but I feel like I’ve got all these little milestones to get past: day AF due, 5 weeks (so past the point where a loss is a chemical), 6+2 (when baby stopped growing last time), 8 weeks (when I found out about the mmc), 10 weeks (when I’ll have the NIPS test), then 12 week scan, then all being well I can relax a bit ☺️

Kewchoc · 08/11/2023 19:10

I think I'll probably end up doing fortnightly scans too to be honest!

@Amberellaella Funny you've said that cause I've actually been thinking the same thing - this pregnancy currently feels much more similar to my pregnancy with ds which I have also been taking as a good sign. I do feel really positive about it despite the obvious anxiety. I think it's a good thing you have those milestones and hopefully will feel better with each one you pass. My miscarriage happened on the day I was 12 weeks exactly so I do feel like I won't feel particularly confident until a few weeks past then, even though I do feel positive... I know that makes absolutely no sense! I guess no matter how positive we feel there will always be that tiny voice asking "but what if it happens again"

OP posts:
Agathapoirot · 08/11/2023 19:22

@Amberellaella - Exactly the same with the milestones, I’ve actually downloaded one of those countdown apps and put them all in, as it’s nice to see the days ticking down. Funny what we do just to try and feel in control 🤣

Liz2681 · 08/11/2023 19:38

Thanks @Kewchoc. Despite the negative test, I don't feel as panicked as earlier. Also did a Clearblue (not digital) test which measures at the same level as the digital (25 miu) and got a faint positive on that even later in the day so it was probably just a dodgy test.

I know what you all mean about milestones. I have so little milestones as I started bleeding even before I knew I was pregnant last time so already very different to this time.

Something I found comforting was this table: datayze.com/miscarriage-chart?mode=table. Sometimes helps me remember the odds are in our favour and that it's not a lost cause!

Kewchoc · 09/11/2023 06:31

@Liz2681 Oh yeah, definitely sounds like a dodgy test then! When are you going to do another weeks calculator test?

Thanks for the link, that miscarriage calculator is actually quite reassuring isn't it. Have you done the one on the Tommy's website too? I think it was @Amberellaella who posted the link to that one before, it tells you your chance of your next pregnancy being successful and also the average. For some reason it won't let you do it if you say you're currently pregnant though so I pretended not to be

OP posts:
Liz2681 · 09/11/2023 08:10

@Kewchoc ah yes I remember her saying, found it really helpful at the time. Tommy's are a great resource, so really relied on some of their stuff going through my chemical in sept.

How's everyone doing today? Saw a rainbow on my way to work this morning so thought I'd share. I'm not usually one for signs or superstitions but let's hope it's a sign of good things to come for us all! 🌈

What a lovely picture @Liz2681! I’ve been enjoying the commute this week too because our car is in the garage and we’ve been getting the bus. It’s 15 mins walk to the bus stop from our house so nice to be out in the fresh air and then 20 on the bus which DD is loving as much more interesting than being stuck in the back of the car staring at the back of my head! It takes much longer obviously, but feels like it’s more quality time iyswim? X

Amberellaella · 09/11/2023 08:45

…and yes @Kewchoc I just pretended not to be pregnant too for the Tommy’s thing. It does show you just how unlucky we were last time, so hopefully we’ve used up all the bad luck now and only good luck left ☺️

tlw14 · 09/11/2023 12:24

@Kewchoc @Amberellaella @Liz2681
I have just had a call from my GP, EPAU have agreed to see me next Wednesday which is really good! They are going to do a scan there and then i will speak with a midwife about this.
They said this way i will be booked in if there are any concerns about viability.

Really glad considering i have read so much about EPAU not being helpful!

Liz2681 · 09/11/2023 19:41

@tlw14 that's great news! So glad they've agreed to see you - at least they sound proactive about it 😊

Kewchoc · 10/11/2023 07:02

@Liz2681 That rainbow picture is lovely and I would definitely take it as a good sign.. though I am a bit bonkers when it comes to that type of thing and constantly think everything is a 'sign' of something haha.

@Amberellaella Your commute sounds lovely 😊 I think the little things such as that make such a huge difference to our wellbeing, and to our children's well-being, I bet your dd is loving it 🥰

@tlw14 Oh that's great! I bet you're so relieved? How far along will you be by then?

I saw my sister yesterday and we were talking about how we've both seen things saying it can be more common to conceive twins after a mc... how would everyone feel if that happened?! (For reference our source of information was Mumsnet, so I have no idea how accurate this actually is 🤣)

OP posts:
Amberellaella · 10/11/2023 07:18

Well, it wasn’t so lovely yesterday when it took 1.5 hours to get home because of traffic, me missing the bus stop and it was raining 😂 it’s a shame we haven’t got the option of taking the bus there and driving back!

I don’t think this is twins somehow - just got a feeling. I don’t think it would be ideal if it were. I’m prepared for two children but three would be a totally different challenge 😂 Any baby is a blessing though, so I’m sure we’d manage.

Amberellaella · 10/11/2023 07:36

Also, we have achieved control line darkness ☺️

Kewchoc · 10/11/2023 07:52

@Amberellaella Oooh that test and line progression is looking great! But yeah, yesterdays commute does not sound ideal haha. I know what you mean about not expecting twins, I feel the same, though if it did happen I would love it. Think it would mean us taking another look at our parental leave though, we're planning on doing shared parental leave so dh can have longer off but I think he would need even longer off if we were going to suddenly have 3 children!

OP posts:
Liz2681 · 10/11/2023 07:59

@Amberellaella those look like great lines! 😊

To be honest, apart from the physically challenging aspects of carrying twins, I don't think we'd mind. We don't have any other children so it'd be great to have the two kids we want out of one pregnancy!

Unfortunately, my lines appear to have stalled again and today's test looked lighter than yesterday's 😞 they were never particularly dark to begin with (I'm 16 DPO) so it's quite disappointing and am now mentally preparing myself for another chemical. I'm gonna come away from the testing for a few days to see how it plays out, but unfortunately not very hopeful.

tlw14 · 10/11/2023 09:09

@Amberellaella Those lines looks fantastic!!!

I did a CB digital this morning, exactly one week after getting 2-3 weeks and i got my 3+. Feeling much more relieved and think i am going to try and stop testing now unless i have any reason to.

@Kewchoc I will be exactly 6 weeks since ovulation when i go on Wednesdays, although i think im more likely to be 5 weeks and 5 days when they measure.

Still don't really have any symptoms, still getting the odd light cramp on my left side but again so mild that i would never of noticed it normally.
