Hello ladies!! I feel like I've forgotten someone but not sure who?!

@Kewchoc great that you’ve got your appointment next week, hopefully they’ll be able to see you pretty regularly from now and it will start helping. Luckily I am quite good at sciencing such thoughts away - DD has been healthy as a horse until now so all the empirical evidence suggests she will continue to be so…

@SnookyPook good that your MH is mostly Ok at present. Scanxiety is horrible! But it is exciting that you’re so close to the 20 week scan now, the 28th will be here before you know it. Also great that you’re midwives are so accommodating - I still haven’t had the doppler at all yet….

I am also massive, so you’re not alone @Kewchoc. I’m already exclusively in maternity clothes ☺️ it’s nuts that some of the girls in the ‘Due July’ thread have only just started showing!

Hello!! How are we all doing?!

Agathapoirot · 28/04/2024 19:32

Hey! All good here thank you! Just over 32 weeks now and so far so good 😊 Baby was breech at last appointment though so doing lots of things to try and get him to turn! 🤣 will find out in a few weeks if I’ve been successful! Nursery is all decorated and think we have most bits. Just excited now to finish work and meet baby!

How are you getting along?

SnookyPook · 28/04/2024 20:47

Hi! 25wks tomorrow! We're having another little boy 💙🥰

We've had a slightly anxiety-provoking time as he came up as very small on a couple of measurements at the 20wk scan. We were referred to foetal medicine and had a repeat scan last week. He's currently on 3rd centile. However, they were so thorough. No signs of infection or anomalies. My uterine arteries, amniotic fluid levels and blood flow around Babba are all fine. Consultant basically said he is tiny but perfect. We do have an option to do amniocentesis a bit further down the line (could cause preterm labour now) to rule out any genetic cause, however as much as they can do, they seem to be leaning towards just a small healthy baby. Thankfully, after an initial wobble, it hasn't affected my anxiety too much. My DS was actually only 5th centile at birth but it never showed up earlier as he was 50th centile at the 20wk and had normal fundal height measurements. But given he was SGA too, I think likely I just make tiny babies.

Anyway, we'll be back again for a scan on 17th May. Hopefully he will still be tracking 3rd centile or gone up a bit. They only get concerned if he plateaus or falls further, or if there are signs my placenta is struggling etc. So fingers crossed all stays ok. There is a chance he may be a bit early if there are signs of IUGR or anything changing for the worst... So we shall see. But overall I'm so much happier these days. Being able to feel him helps so much with the anxiety!! He is feeling like a real little person now which is lovely.

Hope everyone else is doing well! Xx

Amberellaella · 28/04/2024 21:03

Hi ladies, nice to hear from you all. I’m well; still very tired so going down to three days a week at work from next week. Good job too as I have done zero preparation for Jrs arrival so far 😂

He is fine, but potentially massive given that my fundal height is measuring over three weeks ahead! Got a growth scan on the 14th so will find out then if it’s him or me…

@SnookyPook DD was below the 5th (normalised for my height) when she was born and is totally fine three years later. Weirdly I didn’t find out until this pregnancy, when it turned out that that was why I’m on Consultant led care! She was on the 9th by the red book.

@Agathapoirot can’t believe you’re so organised already 😂 do you feel like he will be early or late?

@Kewchoc how’s the anxiety? Any better?

tlw14 · 29/04/2024 14:28

Hi everyone! 30 weeks here. How much harder is pregnancy with a toddler?!
Feel exhausted, was really hoping to work until 38 weeks but not sure if this is going to be possible now as i really do feel knackered all the time. Been taking lots of long weekends to try and get through the weeks but just feels like a waste of annual leave.

Baby is doing perfectly, another little boy to love.
Have started buying clothes and got a double pushchair this weekend too so it is slowly starting to feel more real each day.

Glad to read everyone is getting on well.

Kewchoc · 04/05/2024 18:49

Glad to hear everyone is doing well 😊 and can't believe it's boys all round!

@SnookyPook That does sound anxiety provoking but I'm sure you're right that you just make small babies! And now that they're monitoring it they will be able to keep you both safe ❤️

I'm in the same boat as you @Amberellaella hahaha completely unprepared! When we had ds I think we were pretty much ready for him to arrive when I was about 16 weeks but I'm 30 weeks now and haven't bought or prepared anything as of yet. Baby boy is also measuring massive on 97th percentile and I've been having some trouble with my iron which is leaving me exhausted, but the anxiety does seem to be easing off a little now that I'm getting the support from perinatal.

When is everyone finishing work? I was planning on working until 38 weeks but I have hit a wall and really struggling physically now, so thinking of using 2 weeks annual leave and going off at 36 weeks instead. Which means I only have 6 weeks left at work which is just so crazy!!

Hey, how’s everyone doing? Any baby news @Agathapoirot? I’m finally on mat leave and it is sorely needed - outside of looking after DD all I seem to be able to do is sleep!

SnookyPook · 22/06/2024 17:18

Ah enjoy mat leave @Amberellaella !

All ok here... Had a bit of raised anxiety as we did have growth stall at one of the follow up scans and they said if it hadn't picked up again by the next one they'd possibly be wanting him out as early as 33/34wks!! Thankfully by the next scan he had picked up again and they were happy to leave him be, but they don't want us to go past 37wks.. which for me would be 22nd July... So now having a baby next month instead of August! Still getting my head around it and also trying to decide between induction or elective C-section... Can't help feeling the former might not go very well if starting the process before he's even term but I'm trying to take my time thinking it all through carefully. I have found my anxiety around loss has increased a bit over the last few weeks. Very much feeling I just want him here safely in whatever way is best for him. 32+5 today and feeling happy that we've reached such hopeful viability stage now.

Hope everyone else is doing ok! 💗

Amberellaella · 22/06/2024 18:43

That sounds rough @SnookyPook, but there is a significant amount of uncertainty in the scans so don’t be too worried! My baby’s growth has stalled too so I’ve got a scan on Tuesday to decide whether to induce this week, or next as already planned. I’ve been getting twinges yesterday and today though so maybe he’ll make the decision for us 😂

I’m the same re: anxiety. It’s hard because childbirth is medically very risky! I’m trying to be thankful that we live in 2024 not 1924… Luckily I’ve got a great midwife and consultant so I am feeling looked after, which helps.

tlw14 · 22/06/2024 19:22

I have my elective section booked for just under two weeks time, kind of hoping I go into natural labour before hand though as would like a natural birth this time if possible. Mainly due to the fact that recovery is easier and with a toddler already I don’t want to be pushing him away because his jumping on me!

Agathapoirot · 24/06/2024 17:15

Hey ladies!

Baby Oliver arrived on 18th June 2024 at 8:39am weighing 6lb 7. I’m so in love and can’t believe where we are now from when this thread started.

Hope you’re all doing well!

Amberellaella · 24/06/2024 17:22

Congratulations @Agathapoirot! And welcome to the world baby Oliver ☺️ How was the birth?

Good luck @tlw14! Hopefully Jr will get the hint and you won’t have to have a cs after all…

Hi everyone (and future mumsnetters who find this thread),

I’m pleased to report that rainbow baby Evander arrived yesterday at 3:45 am after being induced at 39+1.

He’s amazing, I’m fine (but sore 🤣) and his big sister is doing an amazing job!

Amberellaella · 06/07/2024 14:38

Oh and he’s 7lb11, totally different from DD who was only 6lb2 at 39+5 😂

SnookyPook · 06/07/2024 20:18

Aw congratulations @Amberellaella !! And welcome to the world baby Evander 💙

tlw14 · 08/07/2024 09:32

Morning everyone. Congratulations on all the lovely babies born safely. It seems crazy to think we all started this journey off together in our two week waits and here we are!

We welcomed our beautiful baby boy Arthur on 3.7.24.
He really has slotted into our family perfectly and all the worries I had with my toddler and my recovery from a c section all worked out in the end! Toddlers really do surprise you don’t they.

x

SnookyPook · 08/07/2024 11:38

Congratulations @tlw14 ! Welcome to baby Arthur 🥰 So glad all is going well!

HashB · 09/07/2024 21:45

congratulations @Agathapoirot @Amberellaella and @tlw14 ! Such lovely news, especially considering how most of us started out in the other thread.

Best of luck to you too @Kewchoc must be a strange feeling knowing that this time tomorrow you’ll be a baby in your arms.

I was a cycle or two behind the rest of you so am only just 33 weeks, still another 5 weeks til I start mat leave and I cannot wait!

Amberellaella · 09/07/2024 21:52

Oh great to hear that this one stuck @HashB! very best of luck with the next few weeks - final stretch now.

HashB · 10/07/2024 06:49

Thank you @Amberellaella
