@Misty84 hahaha is this your first?

Currently, I will be 16 weeks tomorrow, and I can wear tight clothes easily, as I look no different than before. The weather has only just turned, here in Lisbon, but with humidity at nearly 100%, big jumpers are still a big no no!

Ive only just put my room fan away, it was beach weather a week ago!

I am also hoping to keep it from work until my 20 week scan, so the less I show for the next 5 weeks the better!

Misty84 · 17/10/2023 16:49

@ASGIRC My first where I’ve got this far, previously made it to 10.5 weeks, so was not showing then.
I can’t believe I’ve made it a month further than that and counting, surely this is gonna work out finally🤗

Im in London and it’s been warm up until a few days ago but the big jumpers are def coming out now!🕺

Great that you’re still able to keep it easily hidden from work! Would love to keep it a secret until 20 weeks too but I think I’m gonna get some questions before that! We’ll see!🤞

ASGIRC · 17/10/2023 16:54

@Misty84 have you not told anyone at work? At all?

I told my line manager, who happens to be a friend of 20 years. But he is not my employer, I work for a different company. No one else knows, which is also why I havent posted on FB, because I have LOADS of work friends on it, and dont want them to gossip and it getting back to my employer before I tell them!

CB23CB · 17/10/2023 17:01

@Ek21 I'm completely the same.
I'm on week 13 of no appetite! I'd lost weight during the first trimester which the midwife said was ok and relatively normal however I'm worried than I'm not actually feeding the little blob anywhere near enough. Today I've eaten two brioche rolls and a pack of lentil crisps. I'm finding it had because when not preg all I do is eat!!! Hopefully we turn that corner soon!
I also had parents evening until 8pm last night and I won't lie, today I've been a moany cow in school!

ASGIRC · 17/10/2023 17:18

@CB23CB My appetite is a bit better now, but I get full really fast, so I dont eat that much... And Ill easily skip meals, as I just dont feel like eating.

I also lost weight in the 1st trimester. I still havent really gained any, though today I was weighing a bit more than I have been in the past few weeks, but it might just be a fluke.

I am also someone who eats all the time when not pregnant. I dream about my next meal! These days? Not so much..

CB23CB · 17/10/2023 18:14

@ASGIRC I'm glad it's not just me.

I have zero appetite, when I eat I feel unwell afterwards and could go all day without eating a thing. This is a me I've never experienced, food is life! I'm just hoping I'll start eating a bit more very soon. I'm now suffering with a lack of energy and I know not eatings not exactly helping!

sugarplum33 · 17/10/2023 18:19

Oh god I'm the opposite to you all, I can't stop eating! I had a McDonald's as a mid afternoon snack today 😳🤣

Misty84 · 17/10/2023 18:56

@ASGIRC Ive told one single person at work, the only person I trust haha!

@sugarplum33 Don't worry I’m the same as you, mega appetite! I’ve had a McDonald’s cheeseburger as an afternoon snack 🤭 Now home for a full spag bol with garlic bread!😂

ASGIRC · 17/10/2023 19:05

@CB23CB it got a bit better for me after 14 weeks. Not BETTER BETTER, but a bit. I can face more foods now, as well, and Ive even cooked! (couldnt even think about it from weeks 7 to 14)
I also felt more nauseous after eating.
Now its rare that I get nausea, though it can come about, if Im hungry... Which happens cause I end up going ages without eating!

But at the same time, I dont know that I want to go into the hungry all the time, eating non stop phase! LOL

sugarplum33 · 17/10/2023 19:28

Haha yes @Misty84! Glad I'm not the only one with an insatiable appetite. I think it's tomorrow Maccies release their halloween menu so I'll definitely be snacking on a few toffee apple pies I reckon 🤣

Knock123 · 17/10/2023 19:36

Hey gang, had my official dating scan today and jumped forward a few days so 14 weeks tomorrow. Second baby for me and I have a definite bump which has appeared in the last few days. I look the same as I did at about 20 weeks last time which is concerning! And I lost all my baby weight from last time so I know it's not just fat LOL

Still struggling with a bit of nausea and food aversions but have felt a lot better since Sunday. I was 16 weeks before it fully went last time so I'm hoping I've only got 2 weeks to go! Those of you a bit ahead and starting to feel better are giving me hope!

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 18/10/2023 04:00

Anyone else's sleep pattern absolutely ruined?

I wfh self employed (not that I've been doing much lately) and my sleep pattern has become sleeping at about 10:30am to about 5 or 6pm ish, then napping at about 11pm until 2am. It's not ideal 😅

I'm glad my dating scan is early morning today! Which I'm absolutely terrified about. Had a mc years ago just before 12 weeks and it was hands down the most physically traumatising thing I've gone though, horrifically painful and so much blood. So now I'm scared shitless I'll get to the scan, there won't be a heartbeat and I'll be staring down the barrel of another horrific mc.

Only around 5 hours before I find out (appointment's at 8:40). Really really hoping all is well

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess good luck today at least it is nice and early! I hope you can update us when you come out. Fingers crossed for a healthy wriggly baby 🤍

as for the sleep, my first trimester was wild and I’d be awake from 3am then have to work FT in an office all day. Thankfully that’s now sorted itself and I’m pretty much back to sleeping straight through.

Daisy4569 · 18/10/2023 06:58

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess good luck today. I had exactly the same experience, had my scan last week and cried with relief through the whole thing. Fingers crossed for you!

sugarplum33 · 18/10/2023 07:07

@Knock123 Glad it went well! My 'bump' feels huge as well, I've definitely caught people looking and colleagues are starting to guess. According to my app baby is about 15cm long at 14 weeks so quite how I look so enormous I'm not sure!

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess Hoping everything goes well for you today. My sleep is still atrocious, I normally wake up about 3/4am and often don't get back to sleep again, then it's a full day at work or running around after my daughter so no chance for a nap. The tiredness seems to make the nausea worse too so it's all getting a bit draining.

Pinkstuffs · 18/10/2023 07:31

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess good luck this morning! I think it’s much better to have an early appointment so you’re not dreading it all day. I was so nervous Monday, the receptionist asked if I wanted my appointment letter back or if she could bin it, and I just burst into tears 😂 Fingers crossed for you.

theodora2146 · 18/10/2023 09:44

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow, I should be 12+2. I had a Mc last year in November at around 8 weeks and the pain and the blood was horrific so I'm quite terrified for tomorrow!

I keep telling myself unless I'm told otherwise I'm pregnant and carrying a healthy baby!

My appointment is early at 8:50am so at least I can get it out the way!

I suffer with anxiety and my god it's a whole lot worse now I'm pregnant!

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 18/10/2023 09:59

Scan done, all is well and baby was super wriggly!

Due date hasn't changed, measured at 12+3, exactly the same as lmp put me at.

Congratulations @XenaTheWarriorPrincess delighted your scan went well for you🥳🥳

I had my scan today too, is it just me or does the baby look like its facing the camera and giving us the finger?!😅🤣

All was good with the baby at my scan but unfortunately I still have a lump in my uterus which has grown, they dont know what it is so sending me to a fetal medicine specialist and puting me under consultant care. So I am feeling a wierd mixture of worry and excitement but hopeful that it will all work out🤞

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess I am on count down to the 20 week scan.. 25 days to go and counting! X

Mammac85 · 19/10/2023 09:58

Hi all

Finally found the new thread 😊
I had my dating scan 2 weeks ago like a lot of you I was terrified after a previous loss at 11+5 but the baby is very wriggly with a strong heartbeat. The only problem was the sonographer couldn't get the nuchal measurements as the baby wouldn't stay still long enough so they are doing a quad test at 16 weeks.

Has anyone still not told anyone yet? We have somehow managed to keep it a secret, we are hoping to tell the kids on bonfire night if the quad test results are back.

theodora2146 · 19/10/2023 12:51

Scan went well! Healthy little baby in there, strong heartbeat, little legs and arms moving about they even had their little legs crossed at one point 🥰

SitDownLars · 19/10/2023 18:59

Hi all, I've not been very active on the previous threads but I'm due 15th April and I've now had my scan and screening results. I've just found out I've got low Papp-a and have been sent lots of appointment letters for extra scans and consultant appointments. Does anyone have any experience of this? It's 0.41 and apparently low is anything under 0.415 so it's very borderline but I've seen the some hospitals count anything under 1 as low!

I was wondering if I could find out what my Papp-a level was in my first pregnancy but I had the quadruple test not the combined test as they couldn't get the nuchal fold measurement so not sure if they would have even measured Papp-a.

worried about potentially needing early induction or c section
