@Butterfliesandroses I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you have received/are receiving lots of support. Thank you for sharing your views. I'm in awe of your positivity and think I can learn something from that. At least if I can't think positively I need to at least try to keep myself busy/distracted for the next 5 weeks. Wishing you all the best for your rainbow pregnancy x

Cora24601 · 26/10/2023 18:40

I had a right wobble after hearing about Rebecca Adlingtons news! Totally devastating for her! I have had 2 miscarriages and no living children yet. 🤞🏻 for this pregnancy im due 3rd April. I'm desperate for a scan by my partner is completely against it. Im hoping the next couple of weeks go by quickly! But yes it's put me in an increased sense of "is baby ok, is it still alive" panic. My last miscarriage we found out at the 12 week scan so I thought perhaps naively I was in a safer zone going into the 20 week one.

HelsM2023 · 26/10/2023 19:04

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this group. I was in the May 2024 group but after having my 12 week scan turns out I'm 13+ 3 and due 29 April!

Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

ZB86 · 26/10/2023 19:18

@Cora24601 sorry to hear about your losses. I found out about my missed miscarriage at my 12 week scan too, and had been reassured to a certain degree by the statistics, until I heard about Rebecca's experience. Crossing everything for you that you are crying happy years at your 20 week scan x

Hush32 · 26/10/2023 20:15

Hi everyone! Just joining now as felt a bit too anxious before…I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and due 26th April with my second (first will be just over 3 when baby #2 comes along).

Can anyone share an updated Facebook and WhatsApp link?

Pinkstuffs · 26/10/2023 20:43

Is anyone still feeling sick? I’m 14 weeks now but after a bit of a reprieve around 11 - 12 weeks, I’m feeling nauseous all day and still vomiting occasionally. When does this burst of energy kick in?!

Ttcmumma · 26/10/2023 20:45

@Pinkstuffs not felt sick in a while (16+4) but definitely haven't felt that burst of energy yet either. In fact naps are essential ATM 😅

CB23CB · 27/10/2023 09:35

I've just noticed this in the shower. It wasn't there last night! Thoughts?!
It is starting to fade and decrease in width. Also got a spotty rash on my feet. Hmmm

SummerOak · 27/10/2023 09:52

@CB23CB No idea what it could be, maybe monitor it for a few days and if it doesn't get better go to your GP or call the midwife. I had a weird rash on my face for a couple of days, but it cleared out and the midwife said it could have been because of the increase in hormones.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 28/10/2023 09:12

@CB23CB If your legs were cold when it appeared, warm compress. If they were warm, cold compress. It's usually temperature triggered, we have increased blood flow when pregnant so rashes like that are actually quite common.

Also happens to non pregnant people sometimes and can be heat rash. It should clear up in a day or two. If it persists, see a gp.

The spotty rash on your foot sounds like prickly heat, have your feet been warm/sweaty? If so, it's just that. Happens to mine all the time. Rashes in pregnancy are super common and usually not cause for concern, extra hormones, stretching skin and increased blood volume are usually to blame

Anyone experiencing dry nipples? 16+5 today, had sore/kind of itchy breasts for a couple days and just assumed it was hormones. Today I have dry flaky skin on one nipple. Anyone know if this is normal?

nobleisle · 28/10/2023 15:47

Hey guys- old handle was Faban. Haven't checked this thread for a while! Hope everyone's okay! Im 16+3 and feeling okay but yeah Rebecca Addlingtons and a few of my friends have had some horrible news quite far into their pregnancy recently and it's just making me very sad and quite scared.

Here's the fb group @Hush32

Hi everyone! Jumping on to this thread as I was originally in the May 2024 one but after my 12 week scan my EDD is now 30th April (13+5 today).

Have been having some cramping and lower back ache today. Have had this quite frequently throughout so far but only really mildly, however today felt stronger than usual. Stopped now though and no bleeding or spotting. Anyone else been having anything like this? It's my 1st pregnancy so no idea what's normal!

BVIre · 29/10/2023 19:41

@1994jk first pregnancy here too & I’ve had lower back pain/cramps & very light abdominal cramps- not really painful just noticeable and again pretty consistent since when I found out I was pregnant but every scan baby doing fine at our 12 week scan & we had a gender scan on Saturday and although we didn’t find out the gender because baby was hiding baby was still doing fine & the sonographer said it looked really healthy so I’m assuming alls okay!

1994jk · 29/10/2023 20:25

@BVIre reassuring to know I'm not alone! Glad all your scans have been good that's so good to hear 😊 can't wait for my next scan already, 20 week scan isnt until mid December and it feels too long to wait! My anxiety is constantly through the roof

Aprilpudding24 · 30/10/2023 06:56

Hey

hope it’s ok if I join the group. 15+3 days today.

just reading your posts and I’m glad im
not the only one still knackered all the time! I thought it was just me as the app I have says I should be full of energy now.

hope you’re all doing well. Anyone think they know what they’re having yet based on gut feelings? X

SummerOak · 30/10/2023 10:20

Hi @Aprilpudding24 👋
I think I'm having a boy, just because every time I had a baby dream it was a boy. Also looking by some old wive's tales it's suggesting a boy as well. But it's all just for fun, I'll know for sure in 4 weeks.
Do you think you know what you're having?

Aprilpudding24 · 30/10/2023 10:28

Hey

I think I’m having a girl. Same really, old wives tales, some daft Chinese prediction calendar and just a feeling. I’ve weirdly always though of them as a girl too. Saying this now I bet it’s a boy haha!

I’ve got my 20 week scan at the start of December so looking forward to finding out :D

1994jk · 30/10/2023 10:59

Hey @Aprilpudding24! my gut instinct is I'm having a girl, although the Chinese calender said boy! I would really love to not find out and it be a surprise but my husband is desperate to find out so we will see!

ASGIRC · 30/10/2023 12:02

I was always convinced I was having a girl, not based on any old wives tales, just a little bit of science, and wishful thinking!
As it turns out, it really is a girl!

Mrsttcno1 · 30/10/2023 12:39

I’m finding out the gender next week at a private scan and I really think I’m having a boy! No reason really just a gut feeling, the old wives tales haven’t really worked for me as some say boy some say girl! DH would love for baby to be a girl (obviously he will be happy either way though) whereas I don’t have a preference at all so I’ll be really interested to find out what we’re having next week! X

Ttcmumma · 30/10/2023 13:10

I went off nub theory and some other old wives tales and assumed girl, I have just come back from a private scan confirming a girl!

Alice4875 · 30/10/2023 14:28

1994jk · 30/10/2023 10:59

Hey @Aprilpudding24! my gut instinct is I'm having a girl, although the Chinese calender said boy! I would really love to not find out and it be a surprise but my husband is desperate to find out so we will see!

I'm the same I would happily have a suprise but my husband wants to know.
I think I'm having a boy, some old wives tales things making me think that plus instinct. Its odd as I always thought I would have a girl first but not sure why haha!

Misty84 · 30/10/2023 15:45

Chinese calendar, and my instincts (based off absolutely nothing) say boy- will find out for real tomorrow!

Aprilpudding24 · 30/10/2023 15:47

I didn’t even know about the nub theory. I just googled it. Looking at my scan and reading what I’m supposed to do I’m still non the wiser haha. I’ll just have to wait 😬
