Good luck @Pinkstuffs let us know how it goes

Yes, cramping is normal and is nothing to worry about.

My scan is on Wednesday morning, can't believe how quick the last 8 weeks have gone.

Any of you ladies know a good way to tackle dizziness? I am about 15 weeks today and I am SO dizzy. Not had this before. I am a dog walker so on my feet all day and already struggling 😅

Pinkstuffs · 16/10/2023 12:23

My 12 week scan went fine this morning! Measuring a few days behind based on LMP but I know I ovulate late so that’s fine. It took over an hour to take the measurements as baby wouldn’t shift. Had to walk up and down the hospital stairs, 5 floors 3 times 🙄

Ice cold water helps me. I dont leave home without it now. That way, if I start getting dizzy, I take a few sips and it perks me up. Its not fool proof, but it works for me!

sugarplum33 · 16/10/2023 19:47

Great news @Pinkstuffs!

Hope your scan went well as well @CinderRosie :)

BVIre · 16/10/2023 19:56

Hey guys! I know it’s been said before a bit of cramping is normal but I am 14+4 & I wouldn’t say I’ve been cramping the past week but it nearly feels more like a stitch or a pulling sensation in my tummy! It’s been on and off over the past few weeks but happening nearly every day- just wondering if anyone else has had this before or if this is normal? Doesn’t feel like traditional cramping pain, no bleeding or anything & I wouldn’t even say it’s painful just noticeable when it’s happening!

Albrook · 16/10/2023 20:15

Hello!! Hope I can join. I'm currently 12+3, I went for my dating scan today & saw the little heart beat and the baby putting their hands to their face & what we think is them sucking their thumbs. The baby was such a monkey, I had to empty my bladder twice & shake my hips, and at one point the baby just turned away completely! 😂

ASGIRC · 16/10/2023 20:20

@BVIre is it down and to the sides?
If so, it is likely to be round ligament pain.

sugarplum33 · 16/10/2023 20:24

@BVIre Could it be round ligament pain? I've been getting some pain in my groin/hip area and I think that's what it is.

@Albrook Congratulations! Sounds like there were some awkward babies today 🤣

CinderRosie · 16/10/2023 20:28

@sugarplum33 it was lovely thank you! Nuchal fold measurement was nice and low, just got to wait for the blood results 🤞🏻 I have started a new thread asking for nub theory guesses if anyone is any good at them but I don’t think the nub is visible!

sugarplum33 · 16/10/2023 20:31

@CinderRosie Fabulous! I am clueless on the nub theory but I'm intrigued! What's your updated EDD?

Ttcmumma · 16/10/2023 20:42

Also clueless on nub theory @CinderRosie but just added my scan pic to show you as soo many people have predicted girl that I'm actually kind of convinced it's a girl now 🤣. Incase this is anything for you to go off! Something to do with the nub being less than or more than 30° from the spine?

CinderRosie · 16/10/2023 21:00

@sugarplum33 updated EDD is 18th April!

sugarplum33 · 16/10/2023 21:06

@CinderRosie Aww the day after me! I'm sure we had the same due dates originally so we've stuck pretty close together :)

ASGIRC · 15/10/2023 07:14

I am 15+4 today and no signs of bump... My jeans still button up comfortably, but I did buy them when I was a bit heavier, and Ive lost weight during pregnancy.

But even lying in bed, and sucking in, there is nothing bulging...
If I press it, there might be something hard under many layers of fat, but it is definitely buried deep in my belly.

Same. I'm 16w today and even though this will be my 3rd baby I have no bump under my usual blubber.
Makes me worry if I think about it for too long because I know my tummy muscles aren't that good! Grin

WishIWasSleeping · 16/10/2023 21:34

@Ttcmumma - more water and try not to move too quickly if you've been sitting for a while.
I got up in the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago to my DD who was crying, made it out of bed, out of the door and to her bedroom door before I realised I was dizzy and then promptly fell over. 🤦🏻‍♀️
I was fine, got up after about a min as my DD heard me fall so came to give me a cuddle.
But more hydration seems to have kept it at bay since then!
Good luck!

BVIre · 16/10/2023 21:40

@sugarplum33 @ASGIRC occasionally at the sides of my belly but mainly in the area where you would get a stitch kind of centred on my belly! From a quick Google round ligament pain sounds likely but definitely more centred on my tummy than the sides!

Pinkstuffs · 16/10/2023 21:42

@BVIre I’ve been getting quite a bit of pain around my belly button, I’m putting it down to growing pains.

BVIre · 16/10/2023 21:44

@Pinkstuffs yes I think that could be it! Definitely feels more like my tummy stretching

Misty84 · 16/10/2023 23:05

@BVIre Ive had that stretching sensation slightly to the left of my stomach since the beginning of my pregnancy, I’m now 14+3. I definitely think it’s just ligaments etc moving and stretching. Nothing to worry about!

ASGIRC · 16/10/2023 23:31

WishIWasSleeping · 16/10/2023 21:26

Mine is my first, but still! My muscles are also not that good... I havent exercised properly in years! LOL

And everyone on my due date whatsapp has a bump now! Even the ones who are "only" 12 weeks, first pregnancy... Everyone has signs of bumpage!
Mine is still hiding completely! And Im not skinny, but Im not that fat either! Never been more than a size 12 bottoms!

I prefer it, though, as I havent told work yet, and would like to wait until my 20 week scan (at 21 weeks!), and I like that my clothes still all fit, but it makes me sometimes doubt everything is fine, cause I see nothing, I feel nothing, and most of my symptoms are also gone (thank f*!)

Ek21 · 17/10/2023 12:21

Hi all, just checking in on the new thread. I am 14+2 today. Quite tired and don't feel like eating. I haven't put on any weight yet, but I have been a bit sick and just don't feel like eating. I defo have a more rounded tummy so the start of a bump forming.

Ttcmumma · 17/10/2023 12:28

@ASGIRC with my first I told family at 16 weeks and they didn't believe me cos my tummy was flat. I was 21 and size 6-8 haha. (That was 6 years ago, alots changed 🤣) I didnt show with him until after my 20 week scan, I didn't 'pop' until 30 weeks. With this one I'm 15+2 and it's obvious if I wear tight fitted clothes but easy to hide with joggers/jumpers xx

ASGIRC · 17/10/2023 13:24

@Ttcmumma second pregnancies tend to show earlier, so that makes sense! I hope my bump follows your first one. I know I will be supremely uncomfortable with a big bump, so the fewer weeks with it, the better!
I would love to have a nice and tidy bump, that looks like Im only about 5/6 months pregnant until the end! LOL

We shall see! My 40 year old ab muscles might not agree!

Misty84 · 17/10/2023 14:20

My 39 year old ab muscles are def not agreeing already @ASGIRC 😝
But like @Ttcmumma, it’s easy enough to hide under big jumpers and joggers atm. I’m at work currently and no one has a clue, I’m hoping to keep it that way as long as possible!
