@Caroline88Cici we have the little pickles markets and they are amazing for bargains!! I picked up some lovely little outfits from one recently.

Hi, hope you don’t mind me joining, I’ve only just found this thread. Hope everyone is doing well. I just had my 20 week scan, due 11 March with my second baby :) Is there a FB group I could join?

Morning! I’ve also requested to join the Facebook group! My due date is 13th March 2024, so was 20 weeks yesterday 😄

Our first baby ❤️

Allaboard209 · 26/10/2023 11:10

Probably not the only one wondering, but I don't understand why the other monthly threads continue on mums net, but our one has drifted off and only now exists on Facebook... was there a decision made to end this one? Don't we also want a mumsnet version to include everyone? I think its quite nice that for example there are threads for those due soon in October that are still ongoing and everyone is sharing each part of their journey

preggo39 · 26/10/2023 11:27

@Allaboard209 I agree, it's a real shame. I'm not on Facebook and I prefer the anonymity of mumsnet anyway. It's weird that it does just seem to be this one - all the other birth clubs are thriving!

Val2021 · 26/10/2023 11:29

I've requested to join the Facebook group too but would like to post on here too if thats ok!

Due 9th March with baby number 2. 20 werk scan yesterday and baby is doing fab! 😄

preggo39 · 26/10/2023 11:34

@Val2021 ❤️

I had a major freak out yesterday morning so booked a private scan and all was well. Baby wriggling about all over the place. 20 week scan next week!

Busylizzie85 · 26/10/2023 11:39

Due the same day as me @BabyD6 😊

I’m not in the Facebook group either so happy to continuing posting on here. I’m quite a private person anyway so I’ve just not really had much to update on or ask at this stage. I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday though so looking forward to that and finding out baby’s sex!

For a bit of fun, does anyone have a nickname for the baby? We didn’t like calling them ‘baby’ or ‘it’ all the time so we call them nugget 😀

Busylizzie85 · 26/10/2023 11:42

I have my 20 week scan on Monday I'm nervous and excited at the same time! Praying all is ok it's always worrying not knowing how things are progressing and whether my body is doing what it should.
I have been feeling little internal kicks but i still worry this is in my head for some reason 🙃

BabyD6 · 26/10/2023 12:29

@Busylizzie85 Yay! We’re both due the same day and both have our 20 week scans on Monday!

It’s my first pregnancy so wasn’t expecting to feel anything just yet, but have been feeling kicks and movements since 16+4. It’s absolutely magical and gives me the reassurance I need! Even my partner has felt the kicks on a few occasions ❤️

BabyD6 · 26/10/2023 12:30

@Aquarius93 We call my bump ‘little one’ 🥰

KatY9876 · 26/10/2023 13:45

I call baby bubba, I use the Ovia app and you can include nickname there so when I gives insights it will use your nickname which I find cute. X

WAC1 · 26/10/2023 15:38

I love the ovia app, you can compare the size of the baby to French patisserie 😂

HKS90 · 26/10/2023 17:53

I’m not on Facebook either so will still be around on here, agree it’s a shame it does seem to have completely dropped off. We are calling baby teeny, had our 20 week scan last week and found out he’s a boy 😁 excited for everyone who has theirs coming up soon!

Aquarius93 · 26/10/2023 17:58

@KatY9876 we used bubba as a nickname for our daughter (and still do!)

Hiddenvoice · 26/10/2023 17:58

I’m still here, on the Facebook group too but I don’t really go on Facebook.

I’m almost 19 weeks and can feel a good few kicks now. We found out we are having a little boy a few weeks ago and I’m quite excited since we already have a little girl but now feels daunting going through her clothes and getting rid!

I still don’t have a date for my 20 week scan but had an appointment for 22 weeks for obstetrics- could this be the 20 week scan?

glasspaw · 26/10/2023 17:59

Hi all, first post in this new thread. I’m into week 22 now and feeling a LOT of movement! The braxton hicks are so much more intense second time around (I’ve checked with my midwife and it is normal, just a tad disconcerting at times!)

can’t believe how quickly the first half of the pregnancy has gone already to be honest. We found out that we are having a little girl which is lovely because we had a boy first time round. The pregnancies have felt super similar but I’m interested to find out (read: hoping) whether it’s true that girls are better sleepers haha!

Retrogamer · 26/10/2023 18:17

Im now 18 weeks and still waiting for movement. My bump is definitely getting bigger but the lack of movement is concerning :(
I hope everything is OK. I have a scan in two weeks

Busylizzie85 · 26/10/2023 18:29

@glasspaw that's reassuring to hear as I keep getting Braxton hicks mainly early morning and it's really been worrying me.

OP posts:
Aquarius93 · 26/10/2023 18:31

@Retrogamer with my first I didn’t feel any movement properly until around 21/22 weeks. I remember at the 20 week scan DD did not stop wriggling around and the sonographer couldn’t believe I couldn’t feel any of it!

I’m 19 weeks now and have felt movement here and there but only because I know what it feels like!

Hopefully you’ll get some reassurance at your scan but just remember everyone’s pregnancy is different and the guideline of when you might start feeling movements is 16-24 weeks - so it’s a big window!

Retrogamer · 26/10/2023 18:42

@Aquarius93 thank you.
The knowing that every pregnancy is different is definitely helping me right now.
