Sorry to hear that @fleur89 take care of yourself

BlossomTree123 · 21/08/2023 15:28

So I am 5 weeks today, and I have my midwife appointment booked for when I’ll be 7 weeks. She was very quick in calling.

i do not feel pregnant, which makes me worry about something happening. Anyone else feel like this??

has anyone booked an early scan?

CinderRosie · 21/08/2023 15:47

@BlossomTree123 I've got an early scan booked for when I will be 8 weeks, through window to the womb.

PerfectPairOfPlums · 21/08/2023 15:50

@BlossomTree123 haven't booked it yet but definitely going to have an early scan. I've found meet your miracle is the cheapest around me and they were great when I had my first so going back to them

wiedehopf · 21/08/2023 15:51

@BlossomTree123 I had the same worry about not having any or any strong symptoms and then today (nearly 7 weeks) I’ve felt so nauseous 🥴 I think different people probably react differently to early pregnancy?

Doodlestar · 21/08/2023 15:52

@BlossomTree123 I think I'm just a day behind you, 4w6,and also feeling really no symptoms. My boobs are slightly tender the last 24h or so, but unless I was looking out for it I probably wouldn't think anything of it.

I was feeling a bit anxious, but googled a bit and it seems that not feeling much is quite normal in first few weeks. Fingers crossed this is the case for both of us xxx

Housenoob · 21/08/2023 16:02

Actually having said I have hardly any symptoms, I have actually noticed that I quickly get short of breath even just going up the stairs or sometimes in the shower. Apparently this can be quite common in early pregnancy. Anyone else had this? It's so annoying because it makes me feel like I'm really unfit when I'm not!

ttcnumbertwox · 21/08/2023 16:22

I'm due on 28/04 too! But expect will change after official scans

How exciting, so many spring babies 👶🏼

olderthanyouthink · 20/08/2023 11:15

@SouthernBelle86 the WA group needs tweaking I think as it's set up as a community so no one but admin can send a message

chat.whatsapp.com/GgI0zgV3Lau7qFbSOH5b0d

I think it's set up properly now - link for those that might have missed it. Once you join the community you can access "chatter" which is where we are :) hope this helps for anybody who doesn't use FB (and anybody else expecting in April!)

Lbw1292 · 21/08/2023 17:01

@SouthernBelle86 i will probably join that group when I’ve had my 12 week scan and all is well 🤞🏻🤞🏻✨✨ xxx

Bluesky85 · 21/08/2023 17:11

Hi is it normal to go alone to first booking In appointment or is your partner meant to go too? I’m planning on going alone just cos it doesn’t seem like there’s much in it for my partner but just wanted to check that’s the norm!

CrispAppleStrudels · 21/08/2023 17:11

Hello! 👋 What is the link to the FB group please?

Thought i was edd 1st April based on dates but had an early scan at the EPU this morning and im much earlier on than I thought and EDD on measurement is 10th April.

This is baby #2 for me and the first one conceived naturally after we had fertility treatment for DD1 😊. Found out we were pregnant whilst waiting to have an HSG so all a bit of a surprise!

olderthanyouthink · 21/08/2023 17:13

@Bluesky85 I think its fine, DP came with for mine (well one he was WFH and it was done at home) and he could answer his/ family health questions that I didn't know the answers too but otherwise it's not a big deal.

The midwife asked me to go alone for both of mine. It’s usually due to safeguarding, so they can check you’re safe. If you do take your partner they may just ask him to leave for that part :) (probably different in different counties though!)

Bluesky85 · 21/08/2023 17:52

@olderthanyouthink great thanks. What questions do they ask about OH health? Just so I can make sure I know the answers since he won’t be there!

olderthanyouthink · 21/08/2023 17:55

@Bluesky85 this should cover it bsuh.nhs.uk/maternity/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/2016/09/Booking-questionaire.pdf

Yes! I've noticed I'm short of breath all the time too

theodora2146 · 21/08/2023 18:16

Jumping back on this one!

BlossomTree123 · 21/08/2023 18:32

Ahh thank you all the for reassurance, I’ve had sore nipples a little and a bit of nausea on and off but nothing major and probably wouldn’t haven’t noticed unless looking.

Cinderz123 · 21/08/2023 18:56

Today turned out to be a very crampy kind of day, my mind went into over drive thankfully all settled now really can not wait to have my scan Friday and get some official reassurance 😬

@Housenoob @Belle26 I’m the same. My watch told me my walking heart rate has been much higher than usual the last week which I guess is why I’m out of breath! Otherwise I just have sore boobs and am tired 😴

Knock123 · 21/08/2023 20:00

Hello everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining in.
I have been seeing a gynecologist as my periods have been all over the place since I had my first child. I had my cycle tracked last month with lots of scans, I've had various blood tests and on Wednesday the Dr told me I haven't ovulated, I have low egg count and I'm probably going to have early menopause. He prescribed clomid and told me I could try it but it may not work for me. My husband and I had already come to terms with just having one so we said we'll just see what happens.

Well what do you know 2 days later I had a positive pregnancy test!! I am starting progestrogen pessaries from this eve which I am dreading as they made my symptoms horrendous first time round. Dr is doing a scan next week to hopefully confirm a heartbeat.

I'm not feeling pregnant at all and enjoying it while it lasts!! Not really sure when my due date is, anywhere from 21st!

Bertiebean · 21/08/2023 20:35

@fleur89 i am so sorry 😞 life isn’t fair sometimes xxx
