How’s everyone’s bumps? I’m very petite and mine has definatly changed from bloat to a definate (very small) bump now as it’s there all day! Just around 12 weeks now, 2nd baby. Similar timing to last time I was showing around 13 weeks x

We are on holiday and completely slept through breakfast as my baby growing body can sleep for almost an unlimited amount of time (not sure what the husband's excuse was haha) - went down to ask if they had any leftover pastries and the waitress replied 'and you are pregnant?' which was the first time anyone's noticed without me first saying 🥹 felt like quite a milestone!

Misty84 · 05/10/2023 12:52

13 weeks and pretty sure it’s all bloat! 🙈

Ttcmumma · 05/10/2023 14:44

Ladies, I have the tiniest bit of blood. I've had a slight stomach ache all day but feels like I need to poo and have done a few times so assumed the slight pain was this. Until I wiped and saw the blood... im so worried

@Ttcmumma try not to worry too much, as hard as I know that is. Some spotting is super common, especially if you've got an upset tummy and have been straining to poo quite a bit all day.

Contact your epu and let them know, they'll either tell you to monitor it and get back to them if it gets heavier, or they'll just get you in for a scan straight away.

sugarplum33 · 05/10/2023 15:37

@Misty84 Same 😳🤣 I don't think the bump will emerge from the c-section pouch for a while yet haha

Misty84 · 05/10/2023 17:04

@Ttcmumma How have things been since you last posted- any further signs of blood?

Ttcmumma · 05/10/2023 17:14

@Misty84 I'm weirdly sore down there... so want to hope the blood is coming from the outside but I think I'm just hoping for a different reason. I've only had a tiny red dot since. I keep going toilet to check. I have booked a private reassurance scan for tomorrow morning but im terrified on what will happen overnight and what the scan will show 😞. When I check internally with a finger I don't get any blood, surely there would be some inside if it was coming from there? Tho I'm convinced my cervix feels open 😞 xx

Misty84 · 05/10/2023 17:20

@Ttcmumma It’s going to be a guessing game until you get that scan tomorrow morning. I’m so sorry you’re going through this stress. Spotting can go either way- most times it’s ok but not always so it’s definitely good you’re getting that scan asap. Thinking of you and keep us updated ❤️

Butterfliesandroses · 05/10/2023 18:29

@Ttcmumma is it possible that the blood has come from your back passage as you say you've been to the toilet a few times today? I did have this happen to me at the start of this pregnancy but I was relieved when I realised it was due to the constipation etc x

Ttcmumma · 05/10/2023 18:46

@Misty84 thank you x

@Butterfliesandroses I would love to be able to say it was, unfortunately it was definitely when I wiped my front, I always check the tissue before wiping my bum as I had a missed miscarriage in January so already anxious x

ASGIRC · 05/10/2023 18:49

@sweetdreams23 I have absolutely zero bump at 14+1. No bloat, no nothing. Im wearing my normal clothes, including jeans, as normal. No one I havent told would know by looking at me!

Butterfliesandroses · 05/10/2023 18:53

@Ttcmumma fingers crossed your scan can give you some reassurance in that case. I've had recurrent miscarriages, so I totally understand the anxiety you must be feeling. It's good that you were able to book one so soon x

I'm the same... now that I've lost the bloat I look the same as usual (13 weeks tomorrow)! I didn't really show until about 18 weeks in my previous pregnancies, so i expect I'll be the same this time round (although I was/am prepared to show earlier as it's number 3)!

ASGIRC · 05/10/2023 19:49

@Poppins2016 mine is the first, so Im hoping to not show for a goooooood long time!!!
I cannot even contemplate the fact that people might try to touch my bump without my skin crawling, so the later I show, the least amount of time for people to "assault" me!!! LOL
I have been looking at "do not touch" badges already LOL

theodora2146 · 05/10/2023 21:34

When does the bloat settle down? I'm 10+2 and it's so uncomfortable 😣

Mammac85 · 06/10/2023 11:55

I finally had my booking appointment 😁 the midwife was so lovely and didn't moan about my weight I have my scan next Wednesday.

Hope you're all ok and any early symptoms are starting to ease off.

Ttcmumma · 06/10/2023 12:07

Thank you to the ladies who tried to help me yesterday! My scan this morning went well. Baby is doing fine, can't see any issues or bleeding within the womb. They think it may just be some irritation/even external bleeding from extra blood flow to the vagina etc. Hopefully this is the end of it and goes smoothly from now x

Butterfliesandroses · 06/10/2023 12:44

Great news @Ttcmumma

Misty84 · 06/10/2023 13:22

FANTASTIC news @Ttcmumma!!🎉

CB23CB · 06/10/2023 19:45

Hi everyone.
I haven't commented for a while but read the messages every few days.

Hit my 12 weeks yesterday and have my scan on Monday.
Absolutely terrified after past experiences. Symptoms have started to ease which I don't like if I'm honest and have started with a bit of back pain over the past few days. It varies from lower to mid to none. It's worse when sitting so I'm trying not to. It's really worrying me though, I can't remember if I had it with previous miscarriages but basically googling anything has not been a good idea.
Hoping everything's ok on Monday.

Butterfliesandroses · 06/10/2023 21:42

Does anyone know how to start a new thread? I'm not sure whether this one might be full soon? I'd hate to think we lost our way to speak if we don't create one before this one ends? X

RolloRoar · 06/10/2023 21:44

I'm 11 weeks + 4. Have had bad nausea and some sickness. The only thing which helps is snacking. Going away next week so tried on a bikini. I feel shit!! I have put on quite a bit of weight. Was trying not to worry about it and I don't want it to ruin the holiday but I feel like I've crossed from a size 10-12 to a 14+.

Janeykat · 07/10/2023 07:20

@RolloRoar I know the feeling, I am exactly the same- Im 11+ 4 today and I have put on at least 10 pounds😖 I was size 10 before but most of my clothes dont fit now. Hoping it all levels out in the end and that its easier to eat healthier when nausea eases🤞

I hope you have a wonderful holiday I know the weight changes are hard but also you are doing what you can to feel well, while also growing a baby--no small feat! Im sure a lot of early weight gain is bloating and hopefully we will start "glowing" in the next trimester😊xx

Mrsttcno1 · 07/10/2023 07:22

Hope everyone’s doing okay 🤍 I had another scan last night 11+4 and everything is still perfect, crazy to see last night the baby waving its arms and legs, and kicking itself from one side of me to the other! 🤣

@RolloRoar I know exactly how you feel, it’s a strange thing to see your body change. I know everyone will say it but honestly try not to worry, I had a little wobble over this a couple of weeks ago and my gran and mum both sat me down and were like, your body had a bigger purpose than looking good right now! So I’m off to the shops today to buy some stretchy pants and I’m just going to embrace it, enjoy your holiday and enjoy your growing bump, your clothes size is the least interesting thing about you truly! Xxx

Ttcmumma · 07/10/2023 17:14

Anyone know what their cervix feels like at this point in the pregnancy? I'm so paranoid these days 😅 didn't check anything with my son so no idea if it's too low/open etc
