I just feel like I'm not showing at all yet and I think it's because I'm curvy anyway so I don't know what's just fat and what is actual bump :(

I deffinetely didn't have a flat stomach to start with. I'm size 16-18. I think that's why I look bigger as now I have popped out at the top of my stomach it looks like what was already there is baby...but it's mostly fat!

PartRadish · 23/07/2023 12:17

I actually had a bump this morning, I was quite excited. Then I went for wee and it went down. So I actually just have a huge bladder 😂

We have a name 🥳🥳 I love it and I'm kind of relieved too because I thought I'd seen every name in existence and none of them were quite right, lovely but just not her name, but this 100% feels like it's her name 💗 Now I have the fear someone local will use it before she's born though 🤣

Kalodin · 23/07/2023 12:29

Thank you @PartRadish , once I calmed down I had a great time. Just really got worked up!

Also managed to keep baby a secret the whole party too, even last night and this morning too (we stayed over). Still planning on sharing news after either the 18 or 20 week scan. Probably end up being after the 16 week scan though at the rate bump is growing 😂

Wonderful that you've got a name, feels great doesn't it when you work it out @PartRadish Hopefully no one will, you should still use it if they do

Kalodin · 23/07/2023 12:30

Mines low down too @Inmydreams88 ! And tbf, That's just how I carry babies anyway!

suz2285 · 23/07/2023 12:46

Mine is the same ladies, lower belly has fat so it's not popped yet it's just like my top stomach has popped up the way so I'm feeling bloated rather than pregnant! When I take a pic I just look like the bottom of my stomach is rounded but as the day goes on and I eat I look more and more bloated!

I feel huge this morning 😂 I really need to tell my work but my boss isn't back from hols until next week so I'll have to try and hang on 🙈😂

Bims2019 · 23/07/2023 12:53

Loving all the bump pics! Mine is definitely bigger in the afternoon and isn't all baby, there's a healthy amount of bloat and food too 😂

MrsSBG · 23/07/2023 14:09

Hello, I want to mark my place in the thread.
I didn't find about the pregnancy forums until this week. Excited to read and share experiences. This is my first time 😊

Luhou · 23/07/2023 14:33

Welcome @MrsSBG how are you feeling?

MrsSBG · 23/07/2023 14:59

Thanks for asking 😊
I was not prepared for the nausea, food aversions and extreme tiredness. Except for food aversion and bloating, other symptoms seem to be on a downward path now that I am in second trimester.
I have been using the time when I am bloated to find what clothes I am going to need in 3 months 😂

MrsHsGirl · 23/07/2023 15:30

Lovely bumps 😍 remember everyone your uterus won't be above your belly button yet so it's totally normal for it to be further down at the moment!

I look like a whale but I have done since about 6 weeks 😂 I think the bloating is slowly turning into baby though!

FirstT1meMum · 23/07/2023 16:10

Such gorgeous bumps!! Feeling like I'm finally potentially hardening up in my tummy and under my boobs but it definitely doesn't look like it yet and I could be imagining it 🤣🤣 have to keep telling myself all pregnancies are different!!

Random question, does anyone suffer with sore nipples? My actual boobs are fine and most of the time the nips are fine but when I'm cold my god they sting!! Probably overthinking it all but dying for some sort of symptoms 🤣🤣

Hummusanddipdip · 23/07/2023 16:12

@FirstT1meMum yup, itchy too. No matter what I do, anything against them causes some form of irritation.

Bims2019 · 23/07/2023 16:17

@FirstT1meMum @Hummusanddipdip yeeees mine have been so sensitive and itchy! And they wouldn't usually bother me.

MrsJ6921 · 23/07/2023 16:34

@FirstT1meMum oh yes the sting is something else! Someone only needs to open the window in my office and my nips are in a world of their own!

FirstT1meMum · 23/07/2023 16:36

@Hummusanddipdip @Bims2019 @MrsJ6921 omg the itch!!! I naively presumed that was eczema as I suffer but maybe not!!! Never known a feeling like it!!

Bims2019 · 23/07/2023 16:48

@FirstT1meMum I have eczema too but not usually in the nipple region! Really hoping it's pregnancy so that it'll go away at some point 😂 it's such a weird symptom!

Hummusanddipdip · 23/07/2023 16:57

@FirstT1meMum @Bims2019 @MrsJ6921 cocoa butter and aloe vera creams/gels work as a short term relief. But as soon as my nipples get hard again (cold or fabric rubs the wrong way) the itchiness and the soreness returns, but if you're braless at night, they help.

When I had ds and we were struggling with breastfeeding I also used lansinoh (nipple cream) and that was a serious help, I haven't bought any yet, but probs will at some point in the coming weeks if this doesn't let up

MrsJ6921 · 23/07/2023 19:19

We popped to Aldi today and they have their baby/toddler event on! We picked up a pink changing mat for downstairs and then also a little ‘that’s not my….’ Book, 300 nappy sacks and some top to toe wipes too. Worth a look if you’re after some little bits.

lilluce95 · 23/07/2023 19:29

Hi all! Just marking my place 🥰 loving the bump photos again!

Has anyone looked at prams or the bigger baby essentials yet? It's so overwhelming

HopeAndStrength · 23/07/2023 20:12

Hi everyone, hope it's OK if I join this thread. I'm due 26th January so 13+2 today.

buckingmad · 23/07/2023 20:26

I can’t get enough orange juice today. I’ve almost polished off a litre bottle.

Mummyme87 · 23/07/2023 20:26

@lilluce95 I have looked at prams, I’ve got two other kids so know the drill luckily. I’m off baby shopping/window shopping with my BFF on Wednesday. She is 34weeks

lilluce95 · 23/07/2023 20:46

@HopeAndStrength ahhh that's the day after me, I'm due 25th Jan 😇

@Mummyme87 oh lucky haha!! This is my first so I have no clue. Going to scout out some pram shops/baby shops I think as that'd be much easier than looking online

Mummyme87 · 23/07/2023 20:48

@lilluce95 yeah you need to look at prams in person. Although reviews online are helpful once you’ve narrowed some down.

PartRadish · 23/07/2023 21:53

We bought a pram this week 😬 It did feel too soon but we wanted the Bugaboo Fox 3. Its been discontinued as the 5 is out now so is nearly half price from Bugaboo direct and on Amazon too and I was worried it would sell out soon. We had the first fox with youngest so we know it's a good pushchair/works for us etc. I also have a few different hoods already that I never got round to sticking on ebay so bonus! It's at husbands Nan's house for now. This is what we ordered...
