@suz2285 thank you!! I think I'm just overthinking it as seen people get 1 in 10,000 or 1 in 20,000 etc! Oh no! Hope they can sort something for you!

@Kalodin my midwife text me saying mine were clear so might be worth a chase just so it puts your mind at ease but as they say no news is good news โ˜บ๏ธ

@LittleAlien24 thats good going! This is what I mean, worries me that my second one wasnt 1 in 10,000! Isnt it weird theyre both exactly the same unless they mistyped something!

@Bims2019 feel you on waking throughout the night! I used to sleep like a log the whole way but getting up so much for a wee! Dread to think what itll be like near the end!

@sashastuck thank you! Good news on yours too โ˜บ๏ธ

@Noodle89 glad you've mentioned this as the past week they have been so bad! Ive found having a nap does helps so may be due to lack of sleep although can only do that on weekends ๐Ÿ˜ญ

@cossie13 congrats on ur scan! I have no guess as im rubbish, i cant even work out my own ๐Ÿ˜‚

@MrsJ6921 was this in response to my post? If so then that's reassuring!!

MrsJ6921 · 11/07/2023 17:18

Yes! Sorry Iโ€™m not very good at using this! But I read online that our result is a โ€˜goodโ€™ very low so nothing to worry about โ˜บ๏ธ

Mummyme87 · 11/07/2023 17:24

@FirstT1meMum do you have any health problems? Back issues? Problems with anaesthetics previously? BMI over 40? Those are the usual reasons to see anaesthetics in pregnancy.

my sleep is rubbish also, wake up alllll night a million times.

mamas and papas have a sale on at the moment, I saw John Lewis had a bit of a sale aswell.

suz2285 · 11/07/2023 17:37

@cossie13 congrats! I'm going to say boy!

@Bims2019 I'm also not sleeping through most nights! Awake from 3-5am most nights! Which sucks!

@Noodle89 yes to the headaches, I'm thinking it might be the changeable weather for me since it's thundery that's usually when I start feeling headachy!

@RG9895 honestly there's always something to worry about isn't there ๐Ÿ˜‚

LittleAlien24 · 11/07/2023 17:47

@RG9895 im in spain and weirdly here it shows on results papers edwards/patau 1/10000 (well these numbers for me).

@Mummyme87 it's a bit weird that things can be quite different in different countries. i was told here (spain) that anaesthetics try to see every woman who's having planned c section before they have it. I think it's a good idea so you could ask every question and if you have any worries they can help you. But It was surprising to me because i had 1 planned csection back in my home country and no one wanted to see me before.

Crap sleep here too. So tired but can't fall asleep. Finally between 1am and 3am I'll get to sleep to be up at 6am and then be like fish out of water flipping around until 9am or so

Mummyme87 · 11/07/2023 17:50

@LittleAlien24 my trust does pre op the day before elective CS where you meet the anaesthetist but thatโ€™s it.

LittleAlien24 · 11/07/2023 17:56

@Mummyme87 that's good, better that than nothing at all. I was actually happy when my doc said that anaesthetic will try to meet me before because my previous planned csection was quite traumatic event for me so im terrified about thinking of this coming one

Onedayatatime24 · 11/07/2023 18:14

Just got our screening tests back and got a 1 in 5000 chance for both the tests. It's a week today since our scan and tests. Not sure if that's higher than others but it says low risk! So happy and relieved.

RG9895 · 11/07/2023 18:17

@MrsJ6921 yes me too! Keep trying to tell myself to stop overthinking and worrying haha

@suz2285 definitely! It never stops does it ๐Ÿ˜‚

@LittleAlien24 thats good!!

@Onedayatatime24 congrats! I got mine today too with the same results

Noodle89 · 11/07/2023 18:23

@RaspberryTime @Lightningrain @suz2285 @RG9895 Glad I'm not the only one suffering with headaches. I don't remember them being this bad or lasting this long with my other 3!

Noodle89 · 11/07/2023 18:25

I know it's early and not 100% sure if using yet but I was looking at formula today in asda. Does anyone know what the difference is between these two SMA formulas? ๐Ÿค” apart from the price I can't see whats so different about them . They are both stage 1 from birth

Due January Part 4! ๐ŸŽ‰
RaspberryTime · 11/07/2023 18:41

Pleased to hear about all the low risk screening results today โ˜บ๏ธ

Itโ€™s been a week since my scan and Iโ€™m still waiting to hear about mine. I know logically this is hopefully positive, but I still canโ€™t help but feel anxious waiting.

TunnocksTCake · 11/07/2023 18:42

It seems the day for screening results, got mine back too, 1 in 6461 for downs and 1 in 20000 for Edwards/ pataus. Didn't get a papa figure just said normal range. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ I did look and seems I didn't keep my daughters results so can't compare

FirstT1meMum · 11/07/2023 18:42

@Mummyme87 thank you. I'm guessing it's my weight then. I have a raised BMI but not over 40 but can't see what else it could be. Hopefully they don't make me feel like poop about my weight! Just another appointment to worry about ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ™ƒ

TunnocksTCake · 11/07/2023 18:56

@Noodle89 I don't I'm afraid but I do remember reading somewhere that all baby formula is basically the same (barring special diets) and it's so regulated that the differences between them is all marketing, nutritionally they are the same

Noodle89 · 11/07/2023 19:01

@TunnocksTCake that's what I thought.. I just can't see a reason why one is more expensive then the other. Just realised aswell I got the pricing the wrong way round on the pictures ๐Ÿ˜‚ SMA pro is ยฃ13 and SMA little steps is ยฃ9.75

Mummyme87 · 11/07/2023 19:10

@Noodle89 Iโ€™m guessing because the pro has omega 3 added maybe the other one doesnโ€™t. Who knows.

Redpanda21 · 11/07/2023 19:15

Can I ask those with results, how old are you?

I had a baby in early 2022 at 37 (tests were when I was 36). My results then were 1 in 10000 for downs and 1 in 9464 for pataus. Iโ€™m 38 now so wondering how much they will differ

OP posts:
Lraine86 · 11/07/2023 19:19

@Redpanda21 well Iโ€™m 36 and mine were 1 in 5000

Mummyme87 · 11/07/2023 19:32

Iโ€™m 36 and t21 was 1/2580 t13/18 was 1:40000

RG9895 · 11/07/2023 19:34

Im 25 and got 1 in 5000 for both

buckingmad · 11/07/2023 19:45

29 and I got something like 1 in 50,000 for one and 1 in 27,000 I think for the other. Canโ€™t remember what I got for my first daughter.

Onedayatatime24 · 11/07/2023 19:59

I'm 28 and got 1 in 5000 for both. Thought that was good until I saw everyone else's ๐Ÿ˜“

RG9895 · 11/07/2023 20:07

@Onedayatatime24 me too ๐Ÿ˜ž

MrsJ6921 · 11/07/2023 20:08

Onedayatatime24 · 11/07/2023 19:59

I'm 28 and got 1 in 5000 for both. Thought that was good until I saw everyone else's ๐Ÿ˜“

This is still in the โ€˜veryโ€™ low chance range if you were to research online. I would remember try not to compare your results with other peopleโ€™s. Iโ€™m 26 and also got 1 in 5000 and I thought this was a good result and Iโ€™ve not worried about it. From what Iโ€™ve researched itโ€™s average and my midwife said average in pregnancy is exactly what they look for ๐Ÿ˜Š
