GTT normal by the looks of it. Thank god. Will hear officially next week

youaremysunshine03 · 22/07/2023 10:45

@buckingmad I started an online hypnobirthing course and book around 20 weeks last time. Doesnโ€™t hurt to start early!! Iโ€™ll be starting it again soon as Iโ€™ve probably forgotten loads of it haha. Loved it last time and had a really positive birth so hoping for the same again ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

Noodle89 · 22/07/2023 10:57

Lovely bumps ladies!! All growing nicely.. been a few days since I last came on here.. sorry to be a downer, but is anyone else feeling so anxious that something has gone wrong or is going to go wrong? .. im dreading my next midwife appointment/scan as I'm worried they are gonna tell me something bad. I'm so anxious and scared this time round. Bit of a back story of this last year but I've had a few losses in my family, lost my grandad last September then lost my nan in March this year (found out day after her funeral that I was pregnant) and now I've found out that my step-nan is in heart failure and might only have a few months to live. I dont know if its all of this loss thats making me fear that something has gone wrong with my baby too and that they won't find a heartbeat when I go ๐Ÿ˜ญ I've tried talking to people and telling my fears and they just keep telling me not to be silly or try not to stress everything will be fine but it's easier said then done. It's just my irrational brain keeps over thinking and even though I've already had 3 scans at 7 weeks, 12 weeks and 13 weeks and saw the heartbeating I'm still worried ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ I can't bloody wait till I start to feel baby move around so I know it's ok, I hate this stage of pregnancy!

Dannic2018 · 22/07/2023 11:59

@Noodle89 Iโ€™m feeling you lovely
Iโ€™ve been worried the last week because we have our scan today (Iโ€™m 16 weeks +1) and we literally going in a hour and my tummy is doing backflips ๐Ÿ˜ฉ anxiety is such a awful thing isnโ€™t it

MrsJ6921 · 22/07/2023 12:16

We had our gender scan this morning and weโ€™re having a little girl! I always thought I would be a girl mum ๐Ÿฅฐ. Growing very healthy and happily

suz2285 · 22/07/2023 12:31

@Noodle89 yep I'm still worried, I'm still waiting for test results and freaking out about them coming back high risk, and I've got another scan booked next weekend (16 weeks) everyone thinks it's silly and 'all is fine' but it's not their body!

@Dannic2018 that will be me next weekend! Let us know how the scan goes

@MrsJ6921 awww that's amazing news, congratulations ๐Ÿ’–

ThomasinaLivesHere · 22/07/2023 12:48

@MrsJ6921 Congratulations!

LittleAlien24 · 22/07/2023 12:56

@Noodle89 yup feeling extra anxious for the last week. Keep telling my OH that I've a feeling something is wrong. He just says everything is ok now and everything will go ok. Told him the other day that i don't think my belly has gone bigger and seeing all your bumps here i feel even more that my bump hasn't grown ๐Ÿ˜ž (im 15 weeks today). My daughter said that it has gone rounder.
@MrsJ6921 congrats

lilluce95 · 22/07/2023 13:59

@Noodle89 I know how you feel, it doesn't help that I don't have as many symptoms as I did in the first trimester either! But it's only natural to worry - I'm sure everything will be ok ๐Ÿฅฐ

@LittleAlien24 it's really hard not to compare but everyone is different and one day your tummy will just pop! ๐Ÿฅฐ

@MrsJ6921 how adorable congratulations ๐Ÿฉท

sashastuck · 22/07/2023 14:06

@Dannic2018 best of luck for your scan today!

@Mummyme87 excellent news!

@MrsJ6921 congratulations!๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿฉท

@Noodle89 I felt like this on and off for the past few weeks - did go for a scan at 14 weeks for reassurance and itโ€™s been a long countdown to my gender scan on Tues. I think now bump is showing more I feel slightly more confident and Iโ€™ve taken my Fitbit off at night as I was obsessing, making things worse. I completely understand why youโ€™re feeling anxious, sorry to hear about your family members that youโ€™ve lost. Itโ€™s not an easy ride at all, pregnancy - but all the odds are in your favour that your baby is perfectly happy and well in there. I think the percentages are less than 1% for miscarriage at this point, which must be even less for missed miscarriage? Thatโ€™s what I tell myself anyway! X

PartRadish · 22/07/2023 14:07

@MrsJ6921 Congratulations!

@LittleAlien24 I'm two days behind you and no bump here either. It's my fourth baby so I really expected have something by now but still just my usual bloating and flab ๐Ÿ˜†

sashastuck · 22/07/2023 14:08

@LittleAlien24 completely normal for you not to have a bump at this point I think! Even my partner yesterday was questioning whether mine is really bump or food (rude son of a b๐Ÿ˜‚) as โ€œthe midwife said around 18 weeksโ€! I think trust what your daughter said - often other people can see changes more than we can! My friend who is 36 weeks only started properly showing around 24-25 weeks.

PartRadish · 22/07/2023 14:17

@Noodle89 I'm experiencing a lot of anxiety too. We've also had more than our fair share of loss in this year. I lost my Dad in March, my Uncle in May and one of my oldest friends just under a month ago so I'm sure that will be adding to our anxieties. Sorry I can't really offer anything useful to help but you're definitely not alone in feeling how you do x

LittleAlien24 · 22/07/2023 14:45

@lilluce95 thank you.
@sashastuck I've my scan on Tuesday as well. Well it's to measure my cervix but hoping to find out the gender aswell. I used to get bigger bump by night, i laughed that it's my food baby lol but now i feel that even that is gone smaller.
@PartRadish it's my 3rd and thought I'd have a big bump by now lol i was massive with my 2 previous. With my first i looked like 9 months on my 5th month ๐Ÿ˜ sorry for your losses
@Mummyme87 great news

Noodle89 · 22/07/2023 14:45

Thanks for all the replies and reassurances, I'm glad I've got people to talk to who are going through the same things. I just want to be able to get excited now instead of worrying. I've booked a gender scan but it's not for another 2 weeks so hopefully time goes quickly and I won't worry so much leading up to it. One day at a time!

Noodle89 · 22/07/2023 14:47

@PartRadish Sorry to hear about your family losses too. Hopefully these babies will be the light at the end of a dark year for us all being well x

Noodle89 · 22/07/2023 14:48

@MrsJ6921 congratulations ๐Ÿฉท

Kalodin · 22/07/2023 14:55

Hormones ๐Ÿ˜ญ just bloody had a complete unnecessary meltdown at my mums doorstep as I'm entering her birthday party. I feel an absolute mess, it's raining and its been an impossibly hard morning and now I'm hiding upstairs nit wanting to go downstairs and face anyone.

Salamander91 · 22/07/2023 15:05

@MrsJ6921 congratulations!

I had my gender scan today too. We're having a boy ๐Ÿ’™He was sucking his thunb during the scan ๐Ÿ˜Š

sashastuck · 22/07/2023 15:09

@Salamander91 aww congratulations! ๐Ÿ’™

Lilothblos · 22/07/2023 15:12

Congrats @Salamander91 and @MrsJ6921 on your gender scans!

Itโ€™s so reassuring to hear others are feeling anxious, Iโ€™m finding it really hard this week. Currently 15+1 so itโ€™s been a while since the dating scan but 20 weeks still feels so far away! No movements and no symptoms isnโ€™t a fun place to be.

Mummyme87 · 22/07/2023 15:15

Congratulations @MrsJ6921 and @Salamander91

sorry to hear a lot of you are feeling anxious. Iโ€™m feeling okay at the moment luckily, just assuming because Iโ€™m still vomiting itโ€™s growing still. I donโ€™t have any extra scans in place, anomaly at 21+6 early September so 7weeks to go, although I would like a scan to find out the sex earlier but think my OH would tell me not to be so ridiculous ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Lightningrain · 22/07/2023 15:38

Iโ€™m still feeling anxious too. Iโ€™m 16+1 and the 20 week scan seems like ages away.

I think because my symptoms have eased and I donโ€™t have much of a bump I worry about whether babyโ€™s still there and growing.

Everyone keeps saying Iโ€™m being silly and need to be positive but itโ€™s so hard. It must be fairly normal though if there are a few of us having the same feelings.

youaremysunshine03 · 22/07/2023 16:41

Such lovely news on the scans ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’• @Salamander91 @MrsJ6921

@LittleAlien24 i barely have a bump either! Iโ€™ve noticed Iโ€™m a little rounder and it gets bigger throughout the day so Iโ€™m not sure if itโ€™s food/bloat instead haha. I didnโ€™t start showing until about 18 weeks with my DD but I expected to show earlier as this is my second.

Iโ€™m definitely with those of you feeling anxious! I feel like itโ€™s that tricky point where sickness starts to fade, thereโ€™s barely a bump and thereโ€™s no real kicks to feel yet either. 6 days until my scan ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

LittleAlien24 · 22/07/2023 16:56

@Salamander91 congrats
@Lilothblos i think that's it, no movements. I do still get nauseas and retchy from time to time but it's not making me less anxious.
@Lightningrain i think saying you're silly isn't something anyone should say to a pregnant woman. If im worrying or complaining about getting fat my teenagers telling me mum it's ok, you know you're growing a human in you ๐Ÿ˜Š
@youaremysunshine03 thanks. I thought that about week ago my belly was bigger, was it food or bloat or who knows what lol

I can't remember being so bad with my 2 previous pregnancies. tbh then can't remember being anxious at all with them just a bit worried and that's it. Im putting it down to waiting for about 10 years for this to happen, previous ectopic and doctors saying its a miracle but looking worried if they look at my chart ๐Ÿ˜
