@buckingmad @Mummyme87 @Luhou @Kalodin sicky day here too! Threw my breakfast straight back up this morning and no food has been enjoyable, just made me feel queasy.

Also SO painfully bloated this afternoon! Just really uncomfortable and yuck.

Seriously though I thought by almost 14 weeks id be feeling much better than this. Itโ€™s so much different to my first pregnancy and hard not to compare!

lackingpatience · 10/07/2023 18:06

I feel very lucky Iโ€™m not having been sick this far, though have a fair amount of feeling green around the edges.

I am so very over feeling so very tired all the time though. I suppose itโ€™s a taster of life with a newborn/child, but still, tired of being so tired!

FirstT1meMum · 10/07/2023 18:17

@Onedayatatime24 That's me too! I'm overweight and also don't see me showing like other people!! I told people at work today which made it a little more real but it was like an out of body experience and it wasn't really me talking ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ The journal does help as it makes me think about the week and what I'm feeling and it has some lovely updates about size of baby and what they're developing that week! DH bought this one for me.

Onedayatatime24 · 10/07/2023 18:45

@FirstT1meMum thank you!! I might get one for myself ๐Ÿ˜Š it's hard isn't it, I know when I have a bump I'll be like ahh remember when I could still fit in my jeans ๐Ÿ˜… no pleasing me. I keep saying to DH 'I don't feel pregnant at all'... Suppose we should enjoy feeling semi normal while we can!

I know what you mean about out of body experience, I've found it so strange announcing it to people, even my parents who I knew would obviously be happy.

RaspberryTime · 10/07/2023 18:54

Sorry to hear so many people are having a rotten time with sickness today. Iโ€™ve been ludicrously bloated for the last couple of days to the point itโ€™s genuinely painful. I made some peppermint tea from some mint in the garden today which helped a little.

Nellynoo182 · 10/07/2023 19:14

Thank you @PartRadish that is all really helpful to know! That sounds like quite a journey you have been through with your little ones. We had a 34 weeker at Leeds and the care was phenomenal from the moment I was pregnant.

Tbh our antenatal care has been absolutely terrible so far which is why I am questioning whether to go through Stoke and just bypass Shropshire. We were just advised to consider it by our midwife and then she said she would refer us to a consultant once we had decided where I wanted to give birth. We had our 12 week scan today at Shrewsbury outpatients and it was a rubbish experience! However, the thought of having to travel all the way to stoke majorly puts me off and would prefer Telford for ease so good to hear you would be happy to have a later preterm baby there. Thank you and hope this pregnancy is all going smooth for you! Xxx

FirstT1meMum · 10/07/2023 19:15

@Onedayatatime24 I'm half expecting at November/December time to be waddling and moaning and DH to kindly remind me of 'that time I wanted to feel more pregnant' ๐Ÿคฃ

Glad it's not just me! Feeling like I'm creating a whole other life story sometimes!

Luhou · 10/07/2023 19:34

Intersting to here about peoples bumps. I am overweight and feel bigger than ever. I have a proper full on hard under boob bump. I kinda wish I didn't as feels like the elephant in the room before I've announced it.

CarnelianArtist · 10/07/2023 19:52

Mummyme87 · 10/07/2023 17:09

@CarnelianArtist ah no thatโ€™s a pain. Have you started treatment for it?

sorry some of you are feeling poorly too @Kalodin @buckingmad itโ€™s grim is t it. Iโ€™ve cried off and on today, just feel so broken. Donโ€™t remember feeling this broken previously. The joys of being a bit older and having two kids!! Iโ€™ve called off sick tomorrow which I hate doing especially when staffing is so poor, but I just canโ€™t run round a labour ward for 12hrs feeling like this.

It recurred yesterday. I've been on antibiotics for it before. I thought I'd give it a day as once it seemed to clear itself. If I'm not better tomorrow I'll have to book a docs appointment or I can check if midwife can prescribe as I'm there Thurs anyway.

CarnelianArtist · 10/07/2023 19:57

@Luhou I'm slim-medium. My bump is big like my friends was at 4 months, especially after I've eaten. I had to buy some bigger clothes not necessarily maternity but larger size t shirts, shorts etc of lf vinted. I think I'm a bit bloated as well.

Mummyme87 · 10/07/2023 19:57

@CarnelianArtist midwife canโ€™t prescribe antibiotics, so definitely get GP appt asap as can cause problems in pregnancy

Thanks will do. Its just so disheartening as its second time in pregnancy, 3rd time in a year.

CarnelianArtist · 10/07/2023 20:02

Sorry so many are sick. I'm finally feeling less nauseous and hope that happens for you all soon. xx

Hummusanddipdip · 10/07/2023 20:06

I'm very obviously pregnant now, I wasnt asked at the wedding over the weekend, but had some knowing looks thrown my way ๐Ÿคฃ especially when I turned down a glass of merlot and gave dh my patรฉ starter ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I've taken this photo today (excuse the dirty mirror) I'm 3 months but I think I look about 5 months gone!

Due January Part 4! ๐ŸŽ‰
sashastuck · 10/07/2023 20:07

@Hummusanddipdip what a beautiful bump ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

@Mummyme87 sorry youโ€™re not feeling good :( it must be so hard in your job to stay on top form when youโ€™re not feeling good. You need and deserve the break! X

RG9895 · 10/07/2023 20:16

Hope you all feel better soon! The sickness definitely does suck! I haven't actually thrown up yet touch wood but my god the nausea is baddddd. I find chewing gum helps a bit until the thought of it in my mouth makes me gag ๐Ÿคฃ hopefully it goes for us all soon!!

@Hummusanddipdip bump looks lovely! Also so glad you posted as mine is looking very similar and everyone else I know have told me they didn't get a bump until mid to late 20s so glad I'm not alone! Is this your first pregnancy?

youaremysunshine03 · 10/07/2023 20:21

@Hummusanddipdip what a lovely bump! ๐Ÿ˜
I canโ€™t wait to start showing, youโ€™d think after having 3 scans it would all feel real but until I have a bump it still doesnโ€™t somehow haha

Luhou · 10/07/2023 20:25

@Hummusanddipdip I look the same, a bit more saggy around the bottom of the bump from last baby/obesity ๐Ÿคฃ

Hummusanddipdip · 10/07/2023 20:32

Thanks everyone!! I've had a few comments from colleagues that I'm going to have a big baby because I started showing around 8 weeks. But I'm under consultant because ds was SGA. So I've got 4 growth scans for my 3rd trimester. Our children have no chance of being big, dh is 5ft 8 and I'm 5ft ๐Ÿคฃ

I assume I'm showing so early because this is my 4th pregnancy but only 2nd to get to this stage, the other was ds, the mcs were before him and with ds I didn't show until I was 28 weeks, I sort of exploded over night, and then he arrived at 37 weeks so I didn't "look" pregnant for long, but I was so sick with him.

@RG9895 One of my best friends started showing before her 12 week scan and was asked if she was and how far she was quite early on. So don't worry too much about bump being about already.

This time I'm almost symptom free, had a few gag reflex issues and nauseous moments, but other than tired and dh said I'm never not tired, so that's not new ๐Ÿคฃ

I'm so sorry to everyone that's feeling ill, it's horrible!

sashastuck · 10/07/2023 20:36

@buckingmad I hope your exam went well despite the vom!! You are superwoman to be doing that whist pregnant!

Bims2019 · 10/07/2023 20:46

Lovely bump @Hummusanddipdip! Mine is definitely there lower down as I can feel it's firm, but on top of that I think there's just quite a lot of bloat and stomach ๐Ÿ˜‚ not expecting to 'pop' until later as it's my first pregnancy, but you can see my stomach even under loose clothes now so I feel like people are able to tell. I went to get my hair coloured the other day and mentioned it to the hairdresser, she said "oh, I thought you were!". But I mainly just feel like my waist has disappeared ๐Ÿคฃ

@lackingpatience you've perfectly summed up how I feel about the worry, if it's not one thing it's something else! I've had very few symptoms throughout except for tiredness, which I know I shouldn't complain about but half the time I don't feel pregnant at all. Sure that will change soon though!

Sorry to anyone who's been feeling sick today, hope it gets better for you soon!

Matildahoney · 10/07/2023 20:49

Evening all, I'm back, had a call from the hospital with our NIPT results this evening and they came back low risk. I am so relieved & look forward to being able to enjoy my pregnancy and share the journey with all of you.

Apologies I haven't caught up with the 200 posts I missed!

lackingpatience · 10/07/2023 20:55

I donโ€™t have a bump yet though if I poke my lower abdomen it certainly feels former. It freaks my husband out - stop poking them!

That being said, the bloating has been present such that I feel like Iโ€™ve looked so many months pregnant by the end of the day. Which is uncomfortable and also difficult to hide as Iโ€™m 5ft 8 and normally an 8. I told a girl at work last week and she was like well yes your stomach did look quite poppy and I had to explain it wasnโ€™t bump but bloat! Which is somewhat embarrassing!

lucya66 · 10/07/2023 21:05

Lovely bump! Iโ€™m showing too, a bit. My stomach definitely looks rounder and firmer than it ever has been.

sorry for all the ladies being sick. It truly is awful. Hoping it ends soon!!

Noodle89 · 10/07/2023 22:11

@Matildahoney that's great news. I'm glad everything is ok .
