I can’t see a new part 4 as part 3 is now at 1000 replies!

A bit TMI ladies but has anyone been suffering with constipation yet? I've been a good few days since I last went and I keep having cramps but no actual urge to go. I've got lactulose to take and have only taken a dose so far but I am not having much improvement! Any ideas?

@DearSam48 yep! I suffered even before pregnancy but now, oh Lord… I normally have a big clear out (sorry lol) on the weekend and then it’s honestly hit and miss if I go again during the week days. It’s awful! No pain with it though, I need to get some more lactulose but that wasn’t that helpful before anyway.

@sashastuck do you take anything for it or do you just find your body sorts it all out at the weekend? I'm on sickness pills that have a side effect of constipation as well so I feel like I'm screwed 🤣

@DearSam48 I’ve just started taking iron tablets as well which is likely going to make it worse😂 The lactulose is okay but I don’t take anything else for it. I figure it’s just a symptom and will sort itself out but if it’s making you uncomfortable then seek some advice! I’m sure there’s lots they can do for you!

I’ve booked a 16 week one while we are away in 2 weeks only £40 and I’m like all of you the 15th of August feels so long away and I’m so impatient. You worry if baby is ok until you can start feeling them move and I feel like I just have a bloated bump and is there actually a baby bump ? Joys of having a mum tum already I guess and I’ve got a tilted womb. I bought Love leggings in my last pregnancy and they were fab, by the time I had him they had holes between the legs as I wore them everyday 🤣. I got some really nice ones off Amazon that’s high waisted and really soft, not see through and don’t go bobbly and only £10 so I’ll get some of them too, that’s all I live in 😅

@DearSam48 @sashastuck ye can try plums, prune juice, orange juice, lentils, warm lemon water. These should help.

Im reading many of you buying leggings and jeans/trousers for pregnancy so I've a question does any of you have problems with clothes touching your stomach? The minute i put skirt or trousers and top on my nausea gets worse. I can't stand anything against my stomach, can only wear dresses. I have no idea what im gonna do when weather gets colder (was the same with my 2 previous pregnancies).

I'm planning to just wear my usual leggings as much as I can they're stretchy enough for a wee while yet! I think! Don't want to buy too many specific things 😂 see how big I get!

Shein gym leggings are quite good too especially if you size up! I’ve been wearing them whenever not at work, they’re really stretchy and you can put them right over the bump.

Anybody feeling really overwhelmed by their house at the moment? I feel like I try must best to tidy but the reality is I'm so tired all the time, and it is messier than usual. Feel like I have no idea where all the baby stuff is going to go, and feel an overwhelming desire to throw a lot away and tidy and organise and the reality is I just want to take a nap.

Now just sat crying.

Yes @Luhou , completely overwhelmed by it. Struggling particularly this weekend as DH is working all weekend and the kids aren't letting me get on with anything and I feel so tired. Keep thinking "how am I going to cope with a baby" in amongst all this

@Kalodin pleased it's not just me. Feeling super stressed by it all. DH trying to help but not really seeing the bigger picture, just putting toys away 🙄

I’ve had three scans so far and just planning on having NHS 20 week scan as last one and that will be it until birth. I had low pappa last pregnancy and so had extra scans on nhs but not heard anything about it this time.

I went for the scan and all was well 🥰 thanks ladies that reassured me into going, now I can relax for another week lol. Any gender guesses by looking at the head? I’m still sticking with boy!

@DearSam48 I've been taking fybogel which seems to help if you take it for a good week or so! It's not a quick solution but does help over time..

I'm also thinking about a 16 week scan, DH wants to hold out for 20 weeks but 2 months without knowing anything seems such an age!!

Also overwhelmed with the house being a tip - can't be arsed to do anything 😂

Re the house, my parents literally helped me get it back into some kind of order today. 8 weeks of horrific morning sickness plus a sinus infection this week, DH being away at least 2 nights each week with work and it was a tip.

I feel so much better for it so ladies don’t be afraid to ask someone to help you. I only tend to go to houses of older people (parents and in laws) and it’s spotless. But of course it is! They’re semi retired and don’t have children! Was talking to mum about it today saying most days I get home from work, put toddler to bed and often follow her straight away as I’m exhausted, especially when DH is away. She was like don’t justify it to me, it’s hard! And I feel a bit less like a failure now.

Good to hear I'm not the only one struggling with the housework! My mum is visiting next weekend so hoping she will help out.

We are all dreadfully ill here again (joys of having young kids in nursery), lacking energy to do anything and shivering away with a fever so house isn't getting sorted this weekend (again)

I have the nuchal scan and the harmony test tomorrow. Does anyone know if I'll find out the baby sex tomorrow or when the results are out? I'm about 12w3d!

Ladies has anyone had the quad test in this or previous pregnancies, I'm finding myself anxious now cos I couldn't get the full combined testing cos baby wasn't staying still for the NT measurements!

@sheeee depends if the harmony version you're doing includes sex, if it does you'll get the results when the test comes back
