@suz2285 yes they did move them forward but like @Dannic2018 I know my dates (period and ovulation/ conception) so I know it's just a big baby... although last time they moved me ahead by 5 days, I knew my dates and she came on the new earlier date, right on time so maybe they're right!

I expect they will refer me for GD like last time too, I was measuring 3 weeks ahead I think but meant I got to have extra growth scans so I'm happy with that!!

Onedayatatime24 · 01/07/2023 20:02

@Bims2019 great news about your tests! How long did they take to come through after your scan (assuming you did it on the NHS!)?

We have our 12 week scan and tests in Tuesday and just want to know when I can start telling people. 😂

Bims2019 · 01/07/2023 20:21

@Onedayatatime24 thank you! Yes it was NHS, had the scan and blood test last Friday (23rd) and the letter is dated 28th arriving today. So 8 days altogether 😊

I know the feeling about wanting to tell people, good luck for your results and hope they come through soon for you!

Onedayatatime24 · 01/07/2023 20:35

@Bims2019 thank you! Ahh that's not too long, I've read ours could take up to two weeks if low risk. It's all such a waiting game and I am not a patient person haha!

FirstT1meMum · 01/07/2023 21:43

Has anyone been experiencing dizziness? I went to a wedding yesterday so did have a very long day and ate a lot differently to my usual diet and today I have a bit of an upset stomach and this evening I've experienced a couple of dizzy spells. Just hoping I over did it yesterday and its not something to worry about! I had a big 3 hour nap this afternoon as I've also been at a school event this morning! Just about to force some pasta down and hope it helps! 🤞

Bims2019 · 01/07/2023 21:44

@Onedayatatime24 yeah mine said very similar, we'd hear in 5-7 days if higher risk or 10-15 days if lower. So it was quicker than that in the end!

Oh I know, the waiting is so hard! Don't want to wish the time away but I'm so impatient for the next scan already, even though it's weeks away 😂

Bims2019 · 01/07/2023 21:50

@FirstT1meMum I haven't had any dizziness but have seen that it can be a symptom around this time. Sounds like you've been really busy so it could certainly just be that, or perhaps you got a bit dehydrated? Hope you feel better after eating something, there isn't much that a bowl of pasta can't fix!

Misspotterscat · 01/07/2023 22:10

@PartRadish congratulations 💗

It’s so lovely seeing everyone’s scans. My 12 week one isn’t for another two weeks yet, but I have another private scan booked for this week so hopefully everything will still be ok and baby will continue to measure bang on like on previous scans (I’m a scanaholic 😂)

Mummyme87 · 01/07/2023 23:41

The thing with dates etc @TunnocksTCake embryos develop at different rates. So you and I may have ovulated the same day, had sex the same days/times but end up with different dates because one has developed quicker than the other in those first few days post conception, also not implanted the same day.. I could implant on 6dpo but you not until 10dpo.

late night tonight and had no nap!! Away tonight, had our spa evening which was lovely but exhausting

TunnocksTCake · 02/07/2023 06:28

@Mummyme87 of course I hadn't thought about implantation day! But then why do they use the crl over your period date to date the baby? I guess it's the most accurate when everyone's cycles are different lengths too... such a complicated process making babies!

@Bims2019 I get dizzy sometimes especially if I stand up 'too fast' ie what would usually be a normal speed! Or haven't eaten for ages. I think it's fairly normal but if it's bad get your iron checked out, a friend of mine fainted in the shower when she was 15 weeks and was found to be v low iron / borderline anemic

sashastuck · 02/07/2023 07:45

Glad you had a lovely scan @TunnocksTCake - the picture of the feeeet 😍

I’ve got a cold and all the medicine in our house isn’t pregnancy safe. I have been complaining like when DP has man flu 😂 also started getting some round ligament pain when sneezing - is it like a sharp pain that just lasts a second?

Mummyme87 · 02/07/2023 08:00

@TunnocksTCake period dates aren’t accurate for the same reason. All babies are the same size more or less at 12-13weeks hence using the CRL, it’s after that that their rate of growth changes.

Ttcdcno1 · 02/07/2023 09:32

@sashastuck yeah it’s very strange! I get it when I roll over too quick in bed or get up too quick

Mushroo · 02/07/2023 09:37

@sashastuck I have a cold too and it hurts to sneeze! Like a stabbing pain. It’s not fun at all.

Gremlin84 · 02/07/2023 11:54

Had a proper hormonal emotional outburst this morning. Playing show tunes while sitting in the kitchen and the last song from Hamilton came on - if you know it, you’ll know this is an emotional end to a musical even under normal circumstances, but with hormones I literally just broke down ugly crying.

Husband thought something terrible must have happened and tried to comfort me; couldn’t understand when I was trying to say there was literally nothing wrong but I had no control over the crying.

flowerpot258 · 02/07/2023 12:34

I'm 11 weeks today. Anyone else feeling really sick at this stage? My nausea hasn't been too bad until now! Felt so sick since yesterday

LittleAlien24 · 02/07/2023 12:48

@Mushroo @sashastuck i don't have a cold but i sneeze quite a bit (joys of living in a project house). When i feel sneeze coming im actually holding/supporting my belly with my hand because if i don't do it i feel the stabbing pain.

FirstT1meMum · 02/07/2023 15:32

@Gremlin84 pregnancy hormones are no joke! They're absolutely horrible aren't they?! I messaged my hairdresser earlier and got teary when I had to ask her to change my appointment- so ridiculous! Think it was a combination of anxiety, feeling guilty for needing to change my appointment and influx of hormones! 🙈

Luhou · 02/07/2023 16:13

I've also been struggling with ligament pain wheb sneezing, standing up, rolling over. Really painful

Olivebranch21 · 02/07/2023 16:42

Hi everyone! First post on here!

Only recently discovered mumsnet! Currently 12+1 with my second baby due on the 13th January 2024!

The exhaustion is REAL and I’ve felt nauseous but not actually been sick yet (had hyperemesis with my first so this pregnancy is a lot different so far)

exited for this journey again ❤️

RaspberryTime · 02/07/2023 17:07

@flowerpot258 I’m 12 weeks + 3 and my nausea has been really bad all week. The second half of my day is basically a write off.

Also been ludicrously tired again the last couple of days. Haven’t had this level of fatigue since about 6weeks and it’s a killer!

sashastuck · 02/07/2023 17:07

Aww @Olivebranch21 welcome and congratulations. Mumsnet is the best thing ever 😂 I’ve learnt so much from this group already.

Glad I’m not the only one with the ligament pain! Funnily enough this week I wondered why I wasn’t getting any, any boom it began!

suz2285 · 02/07/2023 17:12

I've got the ligament pain too. It's on and off so not too bad but also a dull/almost burny pain in the front of my Pubic bone, it'a been on and off for a few weeks, but it appears to be the start of some sort of pgp possibly? And my hip flexors are still tight and sore so there's this weird internal achy pain too... I've had loads of trouble with that side over the years so yeah, probably just gonna flare up... it's not 'sore' as such right now just a general achy feeling! So that's fun!

Nausea still coming in waves, headaches seem to be a bit more frequent and constantly snuffling - likely because im trying not to take too many antihistamines... 😂

Coming into scan week for me and got to wait all the way till Friday, so worried already 🙈

Hummusanddipdip · 02/07/2023 17:25

I have them too, but on my left side lower stomach. Although I'm pretty sure my womb is more to the left than central as my cervix is tilted left and I usually only feel ovulation pain to the left... could just be a coincidence though.

I've got mine on Friday too @suz2285 combination of excited and nervous are you morning or afternoon?

flowerpot258 · 02/07/2023 17:53

@RaspberryTime - glad it's not just me but it is just aweful! I think I'm maybe coming down with something aswell. Had a nap earlier and woke up with a really sore throat and just generally feeling run down and like Ive got the cold coming.

I've got a 1 year old to look after too Hmm husband helps on the weekends but im on my own when he's back at work

Hope you feel better soon! They say it should go away in the second trimester but it doesn't make it easier.
