@FirstT1meMum
I had something similar with my first I mentioned it at my booking appointment and they told me round ligament but obviously everyone is different and if u are unsure then do speak to a professional xx

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 03/06/2023 12:20

Are they quock sharp pains that go away almost as fast as they arrive @FirstT1meMum? If so, sounds like round ligament pains. It's usually because everything's moving around inside and resettling ready to make space for baby. I get them if I sneeze/cough or move too fast, usually if I twist weirdly.

FirstT1meMum · 03/06/2023 12:41

@stressshead I've got my first appointment Wednesday so will mention it if it doesn't ease up!

@Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese yes exactly! Literally as soon as I feel it, it's gone again. I did think it could be that but wasn't sure if it was too early.

Thank you both 💓

Eirlys1986 · 03/06/2023 13:03

@FirstT1meMum I experienced a lot like that with first pregnancy and now just starting to get similar again at almost 7 weeks. Aches and pains in abdomen back and pelvic area are common throughout pregnancy but even really early on hormonal stuff is happening that loosens all the ligaments around pelvis etc so this is likely why it’s also related to you moving. I got really quite severe pelvic ligament pain very early on which then settled. Basically if any pains become very strong cramping that isn’t settling or accompanied by bleeding then that needs checking out but I would say pain worse on moving is actually a very reassuring feature 👍🏻

Sorry about the nausea @Mummyme87 , I am finding it wearing and actually don’t really feel that sick yet compared to what I know it can build into from last time. Hopefully you’ve got no shifts this weekend and can try to sit in the sun or sofa and watch Netflix ? X

ItsAJourney · 03/06/2023 13:19

@sashastuck @Mummyme87 Ahh, it was so lovely! She was so pleased for me and looked quite emotional when I told her I didn’t think I’d be in this position if it weren’t for her. It’s funny because the reason I first started to see her was because of my emotions with not having a child and feeling ‘trapped’ in my job as I wasn’t happy but didn’t want to leave and miss out on the maternity pay in case I did get pregnant. If my pregnancy goes well then both those issues are gone!

FirstT1meMum · 03/06/2023 13:26

@Eirlys1986 thank you so much. This is so reassuring x

youaremysunshine03 · 03/06/2023 13:31

@Mummyme87 I feel horrendous too. So much worse than my first pregnancy.
Having to constantly graze on beige food otherwise I feel extremely sick if I get the slightest bit hungry!

Luhou · 03/06/2023 14:08

@FirstT1meMum I am getting the same pains when I stand up, laugh, sneeze, roll over in bed. I think the association with movement gives me confidence it's like a muscular/ligament thing

PumpkinTruffles · 03/06/2023 14:52

This might have already been discussed but there are so many messages! Has anyone had an early private scan and measured much earlier than you expected? I kind of wish I hadn't gone now as I wasn't anxious but now I am! I am 100% sure on my dates as was tracking ovulation and literally had sex once as my husband was working away. I should have been 9+1 (give or take) but she measured me at 7+1. There's no way that's possible at all, as I got a positive test at 14dpo.

To be fair, it took a long time for her to find the baby and she made me get up to half empty my bladder and so the end of the scan where she took measurements was really rushed. I'm hoping she's just not got the right measurements. There's nothing I can do about it but wait and see at the 12 week scan, but I just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar and it was all fine?

FirstT1meMum · 03/06/2023 15:41

@Luhou so glad I'm not alone!

buckingmad · 03/06/2023 15:44

@PumpkinTruffles the only time I had it was because I ovulate later in my cycle so I was a week behind what I was going by LMP. But if you’re certain on your dates then hopefully it is just a mis measurement. They’re so tiny at this stage that a few mm can be a week or so difference.

with my first I had an early scan, then 2 NHS 12 week scans a week apart because I was measuring small (because of my late ovulation) and my due date jumped around loads between all 3 scans.

Mummyme87 · 03/06/2023 16:13

@PumpkinTruffles hmmm that’s difficult when you’re sure of your ovulation dates. And I’m not going to say try not to worry because you will be. It is early though and they can be tricky to measure, sounds a bit slap dash measuring as well. How long until your nuchal scan?

suz2285 · 03/06/2023 16:38

@Ttcdcno1 I'm 100% the same, I'm ok most of the day but by tea time I feel rubbish, I don't know what I want to eat and then I cook it and sit down to eat it and I have to force it in, with breaks along the way, I usually love my food but there's literally very little enjoyment of any food at the mo! I hope that comes back soon!

I'm also so bloated by the end of the day I look 6 months pregnant and it's quite uncomfortable! So that's fun... my boobs are also much bigger already so I just feel absolutely massive 🙈 and it's so early as well

Also totally wiped out, spent a lot of today napping on and off with zero motivation... good times!

Ttcdcno1 · 03/06/2023 16:42

@suz2285 all of this 🙌so so bloated all of the time I’m sure people must know 😂

PumpkinTruffles · 03/06/2023 17:27

Thanks @buckingmad and @Mummyme87 - naturally I've driven myself crazy googling today. Such a mix of outcomes with these things, but quite a few have resulted in MMC. Others though have had the 12 wk scan and their dates have been spot on where they thought they were.

I'll try not to worry, it won't do any good so I'm just going to see what happens. It did feel like she rushed and she just took the one measurement and then sort of hurried me out as someone else was waiting. I'm going to cling to the idea she might have just been a bit crap 😆🤞🏻

I haven't had my date for my scan yet - I've got my booking appointment on Monday

Dancingqueen91 · 03/06/2023 18:14

@PumpkinTruffles the exact same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago and we also only had sex once so I knew my dates - she dated me at 7+2 but I was 8+2 so I’ve been very confused and unsure why also

im hoping my 12 week scan will rectify the situation :/ it’s all so worrying I hope you’re ok but I’m sure everything is fine xx

Cheebs · 03/06/2023 18:22

So I had my private scan today, was so strange seeing baby and the heartbeat.
They've measured me at 8+2 which is a couple of days ahead of what I thought I was, baby looked all good which I'm happy with.
However, I didn't drink enough and there was bowel gas present so they couldn't find my left ovary. They noticied a possible bleed but not near baby and also a possible cyst next to my right ovary.
So I've been sent the report and copies of the scans she took of these so I can tell my midwife, she said that it shouldn't be anything to worry about might just mean more scans or monitoring etc.
I'm trying not to overthink things, my booking appointment is due any day (still yet to hear what day though!)
To top it off sickness well and truly got me today, up until now I've felt nauseous but after eating its gone...
Not today! I've been sick three times and each time I felt awful 😖 my fingers are crossed that this won't be what the next few weeks look like ha.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 03/06/2023 18:51

Gosh, lots to catch up on for a few hours, nevermind a few days 🤣 hope everyone's feeling OK.

Hopefully everything will be easy to rationalise by your midwife @Cheebs

I truly hope everything levels out for your 12 week scan @PumpkinTruffles and it was just because she rushed. And same for you @Dancingqueen91 I hope yours matches up at that point too.

Has anyone had a few days of sickness, literally everything making you feel nauseous, then you're fine for a day and then sickness suddenly returns? And sadly today its cheese 😭 I made ds cheese on toast, I was fine until I put it under the grill and the cheese melted, the smell, oh my god, I was gagging DH had to come cut it up 😳 Someone up thread said to me it'd be sad, especially with my name 🤣 might need to NC to add no at the start 🙃

Muriel84 · 03/06/2023 19:32

@Mummyme87 so glad your scan went well. ❤️

@Eirlys1986 im ok thanks! Took some time away from the threads just to give myself some headspace. Feeling fairly awful tho, progesterone seems to be amplifying everything there’s no way I felt this bad this early last time! Had a horrible pain in my scapular yesterday, moved round to the front under my ribs. Took everything I could but was just excruciating couldn’t sleep all night. Phoned 111 at 7am cos couldn’t take it any more and obviously that meant I spent the whole day in a&e have a PE ruled out cos the pain was worse on inspiration. Now home with a big box of omeprazole! Much more comfortable. I think I was eating so much crap I don’t usually cos of the nausea like fizzy orange. DP kindly stocked up on fizzy water cos I found it helped nausea but now I can’t bear the sight of it 🙈 the other massive aversion is breastfeeding… not fed since Wednesday 😭 how are you? Are you ready for your hols?

So lovely to hear so many positive scan stories. My next one is Tuesday 🤞🤞🤞

I'm exactly the same! How far along are you @suz2285?

Eirlys1986 · 03/06/2023 20:16

@Muriel84 sorry you’ve not been feeling well and that you got yourself a free trip to ED 🙈, I’ve been eating like an absolute pig 🐽, OH made brownies with peanut butter and banana in them today….with an added can of chickpeas whizzed up added in (he’s a bit of a health conscious gent!) and I’ve nyommed those right up 😂
My nipples are a lot more sore now and I am definitely starting to get a bit of BF aversion too so we’ve been doing lots more bottle feeds to replace some breast, so we will see what happens going forwards. Just getting packing completed for Corfu, I know I will enjoy once we are there but at present feel mildly stressed/flat about it- think because of toddler/feeling a bit yucky etc.
when is your next scan planned for?
@Mummyme87 how’s your day been? Hope you’ve got some form of respite from the sickness.

suz2285 · 03/06/2023 20:21

@Luhou only 7+1 today but been feeling nauseous since 5 weeks 🙈😂 to be fair I think I'm feeling a bit better during the days now but jeez the afternoons and evenings suck!

@Eirlys1986 yum those brownies sound fab!

Mummyme87 · 03/06/2023 20:28

@Eirlys1986 chilled this afternoon, enjoying a quiet night on the sofa and working long day tomorrow 🫤 sickness gone for the evening now 🙌🏻
