Hi everyone, first time dropping into the new thread - been busy with uni dissertation and work and unexpected caring duties! Lovely to catch up on all the developments and scan news. Sending lots of hugs to everyone battling the nausea too!

I’m 5+4 now, seriously fatigued in the afternoons and feeling very bloated. Really crap at focusing on my work lately, can’t seem to focus. I’ve got a diary crammed full of appointments for booking appt, obstetrics, haematology etc over the next few weeks, so pondering telling work in a couple of weeks after 7wk scan (fortunate freebie from the EPU as they invited me for an appointment in error!) as it’ll be awkward fitting them in. Does feel very early, but if things were to go wrong I’ll need time off anyway.

I had another scan today at 9+1. Everything is looking perfect 😊I was measuring 5 days early when I had my 7 week scan but all was caught up today so must have just been funky measurements.

Thanks, I'll look into the vitamin b6. I've tried peppermint tea and it didn't help but I read I should drink it before every meal so will give that a go. I've also switched back to just folic acid and vit d rather than the pregnancy vitamins I've been taken, just in case it's the iron. Fingers crossed it helps!

I'd tell my manager at 12 weeks anyway so doesn't make much difference to me tbh

I told my manager yesterday, as much as it’s an arse for her she was obvs chuffed as knows I’ve been ttc a long time.

Morning all, how is everyone feeling today?

I think this has to be the most queasy I've felt so far and boy am I struggling. I've also got these shooting pains through my boobs 😫 hopefully these are all good signs and I'll get some good news from my scan later! Appointment it at half 3 so I've got to try and get through the day without worrying too much! 😂

I thought having an early scan at 7w+2 would make me feel better and less anxious but if anything it’s made me worse now 8w thinking it’s so long til the 12 week one, what if something goes wrong in the meantime and I don’t know until then 😩I know I’m being silly because If something was to go wrong there would be nothing I could do about it anyway. DH thinks I’m being silly so no help there 🙈just needed to write it down and get it off my chest

I’ve got my booking appointment this afternoon at 9w+6. I’m not looking forward to the blood test as I sometimes go dizzy but I’m trying to hydrate myself before I go.

I felt terrible last night. The bloating was so bad I actually looked 6 months pregnant. I felt really nauseous, had heartburn and couldn’t get to sleep. I seem to be worse in the evenings for some reason. The bloating seems to have gone away overnight so hopefully today will be better.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. The days seem to be really dragging for me over the last couple of weeks.

I'm beyond bloated but yesterday used that fully to my advantage at the Beyoncé concert when queuing for the loo !

@Ttcdcno1 I don’t think it’s silly at all to feel worried about the gap between scans. I think once you’ve seen your baby once on a scan it just makes the stakes seem even higher in relation to anything going wrong. My clinic quotes a 2% risk of MC only going forwards if a scan is done at 8 weeks and heartbeat present so I hope that’s reassuring x
@Lightningrain I second your feelings of the days dragging. Past few days I have definitely started to feel more sick but I wouldn’t say it’s excessive for me. I just feel very flat, I think it’s just wearing persistently not feeling your best and feeling tired. Everything seems a massive effort.

Agreeing with the days dragging theory. And yet somehow the year still seems to be going by in a blur! Also glad it's not just me that is extremely bloated - I don't remember this from my last 2 pregnancies but they were a long time ago!

@Ttcdcno1 i know how you feel! Not sure I can wait 5 weeks for my next scan so may end up booking a private one in between.

So nice to see so many good scans yesterday, congrats all.

I’m so envious of all of you having your scans! I’m 6 weeks tomorrow and it’s torture waiting to hear from epau for my appointment.

I’m also very bloated, I weighed myself today and I’ve put a lot of weight on. I’ve been trying to eat healthy these past few weeks but I’m just so hungry all the time.

@Ttcdcno1 100% same I only had my scan a couple of days ago and now already panicking if something goes wrong between now and the 12 weeks scan, like you say nothing you can do but the thought is always there! It's just one panic to the next tbh!

Also bloated and put on a few lbs, all my clothes feel a bit tight and it's now getting into summer so no idea what to wear eugh

how feeling super nauseous and exhausted along side you all 😩 - currently 9w +5 🫶🏼 does anyone know when the 12 week scan letters usually arrive ? I have my first midwife appointment on Tuesday

I have a wedding in a couple of weeks and I’m a bridesmaid and I’m so nervous the dress isn’t going to fit me as the bloat is a serious situation every day - I have a fitting next weekend just incase but it’s making me so so anxious 😩

@suz2285 It’s good (but not good if you know what I mean) that I know I’m not the only one thinking like that! Like others have said days are going by so slowly! Time seems to have stood still 😂just want to fast forward. I looked at booking another scan and they seem to be fully booked apart from next weekend. I’d be 9+2 so might consider that, break up the wait a bit more.

@Dancingqueen91 i had my booking appointment today and the scan got sorted there. It’s booked in for when I’m 12w +2w. Counting down!

@Ttcdcno1 I was going to do the same but DH said we should just assume all ok and save our money 😂 and I kinda agree but yeah, see how I feel in a few weeks!!

@Dancingqueen91 everyone I know seemed to say that they got their letters after their booking in appointment, but some people seem to get all their appointments right away so it seems to depend! I believe ours are sent out after the booking appointment in my area...

Re scan letter, I got mine a couple of days after my booking in letter. Quite excited for the booking in appointment - I have no idea how it works - do you generally see a midwife that you’ll see throughout your pregnancy or someone random? I have no idea if you’re even supposed to see the same midwife/midwives throughout your pregnancy!

Well I haven’t mentioned it yet to DH @suz2285 for that very reason 😂he will probably say the same

I'm also bloated all the time, especially at night before I get to bed! Doesn't seem to matter what I eat in the day either, still feel really full before bed. 😅

Also agree with the days draggingggg! Trying to enjoy being pregnant and not wanting to rush through it but my god, please can we just get to 12 weeks a liiiitttle bit quicker. 🙏

I've got my booking appointment on Monday, hope we get a date for the 12 week scan asap as my anxiety can't take another wait. 😂
