@Justanothercyster strong thread x

HannahLouD · 15/05/2023 10:28

Hey all,

Thanks for the add back in!

I haven't caught up on the last thread in a quite a few days now as it was causing me anxiety reading up on things so I've been trying to stay off the internet in general 🫣😅

I hope everyone's doing well! 🤍✨

However... Question to anyone who may have any insight... Because I'm insane, I went for another private scan over the weekend (measuring 10+2 which puts me yet another day ahead of my last scan aha) anyway... They told me I had a fibroid measuring 29mmx24mmx19mm - this wasn't picked up on my scan at the epu so I'm assuming it's grown since then?! She said it was fairly small and not to worry, but I am of course, now worrying.
Has anyone had this before and was everything ok?/or was it not? I don't know if I'm to expect this to get bigger and cause problems... She didn't really give me any info and now I'm freaking out a bit!
If anyone can help to ease my mind, or in fact just give me some cold hard truths, I'd be so grateful!

Won't post a pic incase it's triggering, but apart from that they said all was looking good... Saw little one wriggling round which was amazing 😍

Now to wait just over three more weeks (😩) for my "12 week scan"... I'll be 13+4 so I'm hoping not too close to the cut off!?

Thanks as always you lovely ladies! 💕

Landsmen · 15/05/2023 10:42

Thanks for the new thread

Mushroo · 15/05/2023 10:45

Wondered why it had gone quiet! Checking In

Ive caved and booked a scan for Saturday when I’ll be 8 weeks, excited but nervous!

SMG1992 · 15/05/2023 10:57

Morning All,

Just checking in to the new thread.
I hope everyone is feeling ok.

Not much to report here, I'm just waiting for my next private scan which is a week today, which will hopefully put me at 10+1. I'm about the time that my MMC previously stopped growing so am feeling a little anxious but am just trying to remain positive and only focus on what is in my control.
I'm hoping to get the date for my 12 week scan this week too which is exciting as it really does feel like it's creeping up!

99SR · 15/05/2023 11:49

Thanks for the add!
im going mad and think my time may be up ☹️ I had pink blood when I wiped last night before bed, kinda had a bit of brown in my discharge this morning, but I’m in a bit of pain. I should be 9 weeks today. My last MMC happened at 9+1. I also have my booking app today but I’m half thinking what’s the point if this is it ending anyway ☹️ x

Mummy1502 · 15/05/2023 11:59

@99SR i feel like a lot of us are in the same boat, I am still spotting too, it seems to come and go but no pain, I went to doctors this morning to do a urine sample and swab so should have results in a few days, feeling a bit down as although I’ve spotted in all my pregnancies I don’t remember having it this long, epu said it is most likely due to sex and the cervix being so sensitive which does coincide with when the spotting started but obviously can’t help it worry, epu have left my referal open so can go to them whenever I need to which is good, just hoping I won’t need to x

Moriquendi · 15/05/2023 12:00

Thanks for the tag 😊

Seem to be hit with pregnancy insomnia! Was up from 2:30-5:30 last night which was really unhelpful as the toddler woke up at 5:45, just as I’d got back to sleep 🤦‍♀️ so feeling rather sleepy!

@99SR The blood doesn’t sound too concerning, pink and brown is normal. Could you mention it to your midwife today and ask for a referral you to EPU based on the pain and spotting? Hopefully they can do a quick scan to check on things?

Justanothercyster · 15/05/2023 12:00

Got my dating scan through this morning, 14th June and l be 13 weeks. I'm debating whether to have another private one next week though as it's my bday on Thursday and I'll be 10 weeks. We're seeing family over next weekend so would be nice to tell them all in person if all is looking ok.

@HannahLouD no idea about fibroids, sorry, perhaps book a go apt just to discuss?

@Mushroo do it! I hope it goes well!

@SMG1992 the anxiety is so hard to overcome, I hope this is your rainbow 🌈

@99SR try to stay as positive as you can, I know it's really hard. Have you booked into the epu?

HannahLouD · 15/05/2023 12:06

@Justanothercyster I actually have an appointment with the midwife tomorrow for repeat bloods (they apparently processed my last ones wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️😅) so will speak to her about it then... Although not expecting much as she's been super unhelpful so far!
Ahh yes totally book a birthday scan! My one this weekend at 10+2 was amazing... You'll see a lot at that point and by then the risk of MC is basically as low as it is at 12 weeks anyway!

@99SR I'm sure everything is ok but completely understand your worry and concern... Thinking of you 🤍✨

Justanothercyster · 15/05/2023 12:09

@HannahLouD yes, definitely have a chat with her then. I've heard of fibroids but the people I've spoken to said they were nothing to worry about, just to keep an eye on. I get cysts a lot because of pcos, I wonder if they come and go like those?
Ah really! Were there little legs and arms? I think I will, it'll be nice to see how things are getting on in there.

Is anyone else having their 12 week scan soon? I’ve got mine this Friday at 11.6 weeks. I’m not sure what it’s like across the country but I’ve been told by lots of staff here how busy they are.

My nausea seems to have eased off a lot but I dare not stop taking the tablets in case it returns badly. I have now got a UTI though. Hoping for an easier ride 12 weeks+

Buttons86 · 15/05/2023 12:51

@Jammydodged I have mine this week too, how are you feeling about it?

I have had bad sickness as well and have been on tablets. It has got a bit better the last few days so I’m hopeful. Hope your UTI clears up soon. I’ve found the first trimester pretty tough!

ai38 · 15/05/2023 12:56

Hi everyone,

I once posted in the first Dec thread and then went quiet for a bit as I was loaded with work and family visiting. Excited to be able to join you now.

I am 38 and this is my first pregnancy. Today I am week 9, due date is 19th of Dec. I had a private scan last week and saw the baby's heartbeat. Will have my first midwife appointment this Friday and the first scan in June when I am 13 weeks.

A fun fact to share: my only sister is also first-time pregnant now, 6 weeks ahead of me :)

Pitstop1986 · 15/05/2023 13:26

@Jammydodged I have my scan on Monday, so a few days after yours! I'm not so excited, rather relieved that I'll finally be able to tell everyone. First trimester is so difficult without having any support from everyone!

I'm sure people at work just think I'm coming in hungover!

Justanothercyster · 15/05/2023 13:30

@ai38 oh that's so lovely you're pregnant together! They'll be teeny little cousins 💕

OP posts:
SMG1992 · 15/05/2023 14:09

@Pitstop1986 I totally get you with the people at work thinking you're hungover.
Mine must think the same as I'm pretty much constantly tired, grumpy and eating with the occasional run off to the loo! Will be much easier when people know.

99SR · 15/05/2023 14:30

Thanks everyone! Just so worried and can’t help feeling like this won’t progress any further.
Just had my booking app and she was lovely but don’t think my head was in it! She said she can’t tell me anything about the blood etc today but did say if I was concerned I could phone EPU and push for a reassurance scan. Not sure what to do!
Hope everyone else is having a nice day! X

TulipVictory · 15/05/2023 14:55

Has anyone had palpitations? Didn't get them in my other pregnancies but the last few days I can feel the thudding in my neck and like my heart skips a bit a few times over a few minutes and it doesn't feel very nice.

SMG1992 · 15/05/2023 14:59

@99SR I'm glad your midwife was lovely, I would defintiley get in touch with EPU if I were you.
Hopefully they'll be able to give you the reassurance you need, don't worry about feeling like a burden to them, if you are genuinely concerned it is what they are there for.
Keeping everything crossed for you.

Charlielechat · 15/05/2023 15:09

Can't believe we're on thread number 3!

I've booked a private scan for next week when I should be about 8+4 weeks! Hopefully little bean will be further along than that as I was measuring 3 days behind at the last scan!

That's so lovely @ai38 Nice to have someone close to you for support!
