@Mummy1502 mine came back this week!!! Now 10 weeks and finally feel like eating 🎉

Magicbean5 · 15/05/2023 20:49

Good evening everyone! Hope you're all as well as you can be.
I had my private scan tonight and was so lovely lovely seeing little peanut and their heart beating. They dated me 7w6 which sounds about accurate (give or take) due date aa it stand 26th December.

My only issue is that they found a subchrionic hematoma in my uterus too, truthfully I didn't know much about them! Has anybody any experience with these? She did say everything looks perfect from the baby point of view but I may expect a little bleeding or the body may absorb it. Feeling a little anxious but I also feel like I'm being negative negative for nothing?? Am I? Google is the worst!!
Love to you all 🥰

Mummy1502 · 15/05/2023 20:50

@EmW102 im eating, but random foods I wouldn’t normally go for, is that what yours was like? hopefully not long and it comes back x

wannabemum38 · 15/05/2023 20:56

@Mummy1502 @Itonlytakesaminute thank you ita a big relief to see it beating and moving away. I'm sure I will still worry until my 12 week scan which is just over 2 weeks time especially as still spotting. Hoping cycolgest will help with that.
My appetite has also come back slowly after almost 2 weeks of being quite sick but little and often and no big meals for me. My boobs finally don't hurt either after 5 weeks of pain obviously without knowing bean was OK i was freaking out about my lack of symptoms Google is own worst enemy sometimes. But I think it's normal at this stage foe them to come and go.

DaisyMay25 · 15/05/2023 21:04

@midnights0 I'm not seeing a midwife u til next Tuesday, I used the nhs due date calculator because it takes on board cycle lengths too

@Mummy1502 with my son my normal appetite didn't come back til after he was born 😭

@Magicbean5 synchronic hematoma is so common, it's one of the most common reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy

DaisyMay25 · 15/05/2023 21:05

@wannabemum38 I'm having a nightmare with cyclogest 🤦🏼‍♀️ I was doing it rectally (like I did with my son) but it's just upsetting my stomach too much so I've switched but my pelvic floor is awful and it falls out 😂😂

Oldermum84 · 15/05/2023 21:17

@FlyingHighFlyingLow wow you've done so well to keep working that sounds horrendous!

@JC89 that makes me feel a bit better.

I've been off sick since Tuesday (was on annual leave for 10 days before that) and think I'll call the doctor tomorrow to ask to be signed off for another week, as I can only self certify for 8 days. Feel guilty though. But haven't had a week off sick since I had covid in June, I work bloody hard, and other team members are off sick all the time.

NoodleQueen90 · 16/05/2023 07:31

Just checking back in to the new thread. Hope everyone is doing well.
I just had mild symptoms up until 9 weeks then the nausea/fatigue hit me like a train and I had to phone in sick to work even though I'm hybrid working, I can't even wfh just now. Now 9+4 (roughly) and have my booking appointment tomorrow. Don't have a scan date yet but I think the midwife will book me in tomorrow 🤞🏽 can't wait to have a date for it to just know whether everything is ok or not.
We told my mum and sister last week as I was supposed to be out with them at the weekend, they are totally ecstatic but my mum is now never off the phone checking on me 😂 I had a 2hr nap yesterday and woke up to 3 whatsapps and 4 missed calls!

Magicbean5 · 16/05/2023 07:44

@DaisyMay25 yes thankyou! I was coming across all sorts of stories but they're predominantly positive! Having a moment!
Ps, that comment about the cyclogest 🤣 lol had to laugh. I ended up sticking with my back door , in my last pregnancy.

SunSparkle · 16/05/2023 08:30

I’m feeling so flat and miserable. My nausea is off the charts and the vomiting has started even with the ondasteron. I feel like I’ve made a terrible mistake getting pregnant again knowing what the sickness was like last time.

I’ve called the doctor to ask for different meds. I had prochlorperazine last time which helped a bit but not loads. Cyclizine did nothing. I feel really hopeless but I’m restricting what I eat and drink because everything makes me feel terrible and I can’t stand it.

Chocolatebean · 16/05/2023 10:22

@DaisyMay25 i had exactly the same problem with the cyclogest. If u do it vaginally u need to lie down for half an hour to let the body absorb what it needs. Anally it played havoc with my stomach too but I’ve kind of got used to it (a bit) i had awful constipation before so at least that’s not a problem anymore but it really isn’t nice is it xxx

Smileyface32 · 16/05/2023 10:41

I’m currently 11 weeks and have been so exhausted lately. Checked my bp and it was sky high so I’ve got to increase my medicine today (I’ve always been on bp med) did not expect it to be so high earlier on. Anyone have this early on?

45mummy · 16/05/2023 10:42

This is a surprising pregnancy for me, i honestly thought it was the start of menopause. I had a scan yesterday 10weeks 1 day.
Everything looked great and I'm a bit in shock because I'd convinced myself because I'm 45 there would be nothing there. I've only had mild symptoms when I had awful sickness with my other children.

My youngest is 20 and I have a 22 and 27 year old! I've not told anyone yet, not even my partner!

I haven't, but are you checking with gp etc? I'd imagine it's important to get the dosage right as pregnancy can change everything! I'd think it'll settle down in the middle part at least. It's quite common to go up at the end.

Smileyface32 · 16/05/2023 11:12

@45mummy I went to the gp today and he said to increase it. Waiting on a referral to the hypertension clinic at the hospital now and the midwife will call me. I’m just so exhausted right now, thinking I need to have a day or two off work

You are going to get through this.
You are going to have a lovely baby at the end and you will forget how poorly you felt.
Just keep going. It won't be forever. Xx

TulipVictory · 16/05/2023 11:57

@45mummy omg amazing! Will your partner be pleased ?

DaisyMay25 · 16/05/2023 12:09

@Chocolatebean thank god it's not just me 😂 I have IBS and it made it flare up and was making my nausea worse so hoping this way is better. Annoyingly gp said to take until 16 weeks, I'm sure it was 12 weeks last time

wannabemum38 · 16/05/2023 12:10

Congratulations @45mummy what a surprise for you! I'm 42 will be 43 when I have it god willing. Also similar dating I'm 10+3 today.

wannabemum38 · 16/05/2023 12:13

@DaisyMay25 I've got a prescription for 6 weeks for cyclogest twice a day. Had my first 2 doses last night and this morning. Feels bit sticky otherwise I'm OK so far. If I keep taking it for 6 weeks I will be 16 weeks too. Already had my booking appointment so don't know who to ask about if that's normal

DaisyMay25 · 16/05/2023 12:14

@wannabemum38 oh that's interesting, I've got my booking next week so I'll ask. I remember the last two weeks I reduced to one a day then one every other day

Landsmen · 16/05/2023 13:58

Has anyone else been told they need to take aspirin due to previous small baby. I need to start tomorrow (12 weeks) but I'm a bit unsure. They say can increase chance of bleeding which I'm nervous for

Smileyface32 · 16/05/2023 14:05

@Landsmen I’m due to start mine on Monday at 12 weeks. I also had a small baby last time. Didn’t think of asking about the risks as I took it the last pregnancy too

wannabemum38 · 16/05/2023 14:34

@Landsmen I've been told I've got to take 150mg every night due to previous high BP and age. Well it's been recommended I don't have too.

Pitstop1986 · 16/05/2023 14:41

If you Google it, aspirin is advised to treat a wide range of pregnancy complications, it's very low risk for quite a lot of benefit.

Ultimately though, it's your choice whether or not you want to take it. Maybe read some research papers so that you can make an informed decision
