I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

@confused6789 ive had spotting at week 4, once at 5w + 6 and again last night at 8w + 2 which terrified me!

Each time has just been when I’ve wiped and a stopped straightaway. I had a scan at 8 weeks and all was fine - the midwife said it was normal as long as it’s light and not continuous

Buttonmoon86 · 23/05/2023 17:08

@youaremysunshine03 I had the same last week all my symptoms seemed to disappear, to be honest I didn’t have many to start with sore boobs mainly. They have started to come back over the last couple of days.

Blessedmummytobe · 23/05/2023 17:13

I have a lot of research to do! I was planning on having a steak this week…I still might as I never have anything less than medium well and no blood anyway. Mayo…I will miss that.

@youaremysunshine03 from what people have said many of us don’t have symptoms. It may seem like a worry but try not to stress. Sending big love your way šŸ«¶šŸ¾

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 23/05/2023 17:29

The only symptom I have is insomnia, although to be fair I've slept badly forever, it's just the waking at 2 and not getting back to sleep that is doing me in!

However, anyone else finding their bladder has shrunk, literally every hour I need to go, I've got a sore throat so granted I'm drinking more, but seriously, even my class teacher today mentioned I seem to be going far more often than ever before, it's almost like if I need to go, I've got to go, I can't put it off at all?

lilluce95 · 23/05/2023 17:30

Due 23rd January, I found out on Sunday 🫣

sashastuck · 23/05/2023 17:45

Congratulations @lilluce95 ! X

@youaremysunshine03 I had a day where my sore boobs vanished (and I’ve got no nausea anyway) so I panicked, but they did come back. I think it’s completely normal, as others have said, for symptoms to come and go, but can understand your worry after your loss. Take each day as it comes, you are pregnant!! X

lilluce95 · 23/05/2023 17:54

Thank you @sashastuck!

This is my first and I've had awful insomnia, I kept waking up at 4am for a few days and wondered what was wrong haha 🫣

confused6789 · 23/05/2023 18:26

@Mushroo thank you that's reassuring to hear! I'm glad everything is going well for you

Luhou · 23/05/2023 18:31

Deffinetely experiencing the insomnia and the need to pee. I am also starving all the time! Xx

LetsGo36 · 23/05/2023 18:38

Hi everyone. Suffered really bad pain today, tummy, back and left leg hasn’t gone away. Went to the hospital (I’ve just moved so not got a doctor yet) they think everything’s ok, did bloods, urine and internal examination but booked me in for a scan tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed all will be ok. Spotting a bit now but think that may be from being poked around down there x

lackingpatience · 23/05/2023 18:49

First baby due January 21st. The only real symptom I’ve noticed so far is that I’m constantly thirsty, and as a consequence of that, and also what I’ve read about HcG levels, perpetually need to pee! A early pregnancy symptom that had completely bypassed me, morning sickness everyone knows about, but I thought the need to pee was a late pregnancy thing with baby squeezing everything. The things you learn! I’m trying to count my blessings with the lack of symptoms, occasionally my boobs hurt/I get cramping which is annoying but also reassuring. It’s difficult to not think you’ve made it all up/it will end horribly when it’s mostly still ā€œas you wereā€.

For those further along, and he suffer, when did morning sickness really kick in?

youaremysunshine03 · 23/05/2023 18:59

@suz2285 @Blessedmummytobe @sashastuck thank you all for your reassuring words, I’m sure you’re right and I need to take each day as it comes

@Buttonmoon86 that’s good to hear and gives me some hope! Never wanted to feel horrendous so much in my life šŸ˜†

@Lilothblos big big hug to you. The anxiety is through the roof and I just want to feel something! Keeping everything crossed for us both ā¤ļø

@LetsGo36 oh bless you, hope you’re ok, keep us updated with how your scan goes tomorrow. Will be thinking of you

lucya66 · 23/05/2023 19:10

@lackingpatience my morning sickness kicked in when I woke up at 6.5 weeks.

it’s been almost 2 weeks and I am so fing sick of feeling sick. I don’t feel like myself anymore. I’m tired, I can’t focus and I am eating everything plain but triple the amount in a day I usually would.

I had a big cry last night because I just feel so poorly all of the time and I know most women go through this, but I just don’t know how I can do 8 more weeks of this. I know it’s my hormones making me feel this way.

in other symptoms I’m burping constantly and my boobs have gone all veiny. I’m bloated and I can’t seem to drink enough water as it makes me want to vomit. I’ve not actually vomited yet though.

I sit next to a colleague who always smells of lovely perfume (a lot of it) and today the smell was making me sick.

i know it’ll all be worth it in the end but I am so sick of it now.

hope you don’t get this nausea.

sashastuck · 23/05/2023 19:19

Yesss the thirst! I’ve been so thirsty! When I even think about orange juice I start salivating šŸ˜‚

sashastuck · 23/05/2023 19:19

@lucya66 so sorry that you’re struggling with this. I hope it gets better and you don’t put up with it for too long x

lackingpatience · 23/05/2023 19:33

@lucya66 that’s unpleasant. I’ve read that taking vitamin B6 can help with that, so maybe something to investigate if you’re not already on a supplement that has it.

I’ve always had a heightened sense of smell, so if that gets stronger I’ll have to sit in a room on my own I think!

94madame · 23/05/2023 19:48

Is anyone else having mad bloating at the moment? I swear I look 8 months pregnant already 😩

lucya66 · 23/05/2023 19:49

Thank you I’ve just taken a b6 vit and will see if it helps any. X

DearSam48 · 23/05/2023 20:23

@lucya66 I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling. I was in the exact same position as you 2 weeks ago. I spoke to my doctor and they've prescribed cyclizine which has helped me massively. I'm still sick occasionally but in general I feel like a functioning human now and I can eat most foods. It's been a serious game changer for me. It might be worth speaking to your GP for support x

LondonNQT · 23/05/2023 20:32

Thanks for that @DearSam48 - my GP refused to prescribe me anything this week as said it’s too early in the pregnancy! Feeling massively fobbed off. 😫

DearSam48 · 23/05/2023 20:36

@LondonNQT I'd definitely go back for a second opinion! Cyclizine is the first line of support for morning sickness. I'd really recommend checking out the pregnancy sickness support website, it's got so much information on treatments and gives a tiered approach to requesting medication from first line to I'm desperate give me everything! Do not suffer in silence!

FirstT1meMum · 23/05/2023 22:07

Sorry, I seem to be posting nearly every day on here but I have nowhere and no one else to turn to! Regarding pregnancy tests, when did you all stop taking them? I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I still feel I need to take two a week but then I'm getting it in my head the line is getting lighter not darker šŸ˜” Genuinely don't know if its just in my head! Starting to feel quite queasy this afternoon so hoping that's a positive sign and I've got an early scan booked for Sunday. Are people still taking lots of tests or should I just stop and trust my body it's okay until it tells me different?!

Dannic2018 · 23/05/2023 22:18

Has anyone had trapped wind or pains at either side lower down? I’m really hoping it’s trapped wind because it’s awful. Also got a coldsore on my chin so worrying my hormones are dropping and something is wrong 🄲
@FirstT1meMum I’ve only tested once when I found out I was pregnant and no more. I only did a cheap one too 🤣🤣
I’ve got a scan next week so fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

Don't worry about posting frequently honestly, we're all in this together (excuse the high school musical quote) but seriously, any thoughts, worries, advice, we're all here for it!

In regards to tests, I took 8 hgc tests, because I didn't believe it (in addition to issues on ttc journey), the first on the Friday night and then 2 a day after that (morning and evening) until dh told me I was mad. I've also got a clear blue digital that I plan to use Saturday and hope to see 3+ I should be about 6w3d by then.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 23/05/2023 22:28

@Dannic2018 it'll be your immune system, your body is protecting the pregnancy and starting to let little things through, I've got an awful sore throat at the moment šŸ˜ž Please don't let yourself get panicked.
