Hope your appointment went well. Did you manage to see an endocrinologist? I don’t have personal experience but know a bit about it because of my job. They should monitor you more regularly and start you on the anti thyroid medication asap. It’s really good they’ve picked it up and you’re doing everything you can to protect baby x
Thanks so much for your lovely message. I've been referred to an endocrinologist and the GP said he's asked for me to see them ASAP but due to bank hol it's likely to be middle of next week rather than any earlier.
He said he wants them to make the decision looking at my other risk factors (obviously) so pregnancy and epilepsy. And said I'll likely have blood tests every few weeks too.
Told me as I'm eating super healthily and doing all the right stuff on paper, there's nothing I'm doing 'wrong' as such and it's just an underlying thing which has made me feel a bit less rubbish.
If another pregnant woman said this to me I would tell her to not be hard on herself and it's unfair etc but god I feel this huge weight of wanting to be a healthy host for the baby and keep worrying I'm letting them down a bit with my underlying conditions. Which is especially silly as my epilepsy is controlled so not really an issue anyway!
Just need to try to chill out a bit and focus on all the positive stuff I'm doing for little one!
How are things with you this week?x
