@NSx good glad I made you chuckle

Can you buy pittas separate? I'd much rather get thighs and buy a pitta and halloumi!!

NSx · 10/04/2023 20:24

Yes u can !! I always buy it separately because I feel when you buy the pita all made up it’s rubbish and full of salad, would rather make my own 🤣😁 @VictoriaBlossom

Chanteuse · 10/04/2023 20:39

@NSx defo counts as a nap 😂 I’ve been telling DH I’m growing eyelashes and eyebrows this week so I must rest 😅

NSx · 10/04/2023 20:41

@Chanteuse 😂😂😂😂😂😂 valid point right there tbh, I’ve been eating like a horse too 😩 I’ll blame it on the eyebrows 😅😂😂😂😂

Chanteuse · 10/04/2023 21:18

@NSx oh same, I’m starving 😫 and I’ve just paid £11 for a Deliveroo cos I am DESPERATE for some pick n mix 😂

VictoriaBlossom · 10/04/2023 21:18

@NSx

Well, you know when someone comes into your life. And they just make it better, that person is you.
I just asked the man at nandos if I could buy a pitta, he didn't know how to do it on the till so gave it to me anyway

Please find attached absolute carb fest

@Chanteuse I find myself buying and ordering the most random thing’s online! For dinner the other day I had a mini pizza and fish nuggets 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣 BIZARRE! Are u loving sweets at the minute? I’m loving fruit and savoury stuff 😂😅 weird as hell. Enjoy your pic and mix I’m jealous I’m going downstairs for some grapes 😂x x

@VictoriaBlossom that looks delish, get it all in the pita together with some perinaise and halloumi 😍😍 life changing. I always order a pita and make my own - I’m glad you are happy! Bon appetite girl 😊💓💓💓

Chanteuse · 10/04/2023 21:36

@NSx I've actually had more aversions than cravings to be honest! But tonight I just thought I ✨need✨ pick n mix 🤣 I’ve been loving apple slices this week too!

NSx · 10/04/2023 21:38

Omgggg I love apple slices 😂😂😂 and Morrisons do a great apple called a jazz apple which I had never heard of 😂😂😂 @Chanteuse

SoBoredOfWaiting · 10/04/2023 21:40

@VictoriaBlossom that is my kind of carb fest, enjoy!

We have now told everyone as we had a few social events coming up, and frankly I am showing too much to not now.

I think hormones kicked in a bit this weekend though, and I apologise for the following rant. We had a wedding to go to and everyone was absolutely hammered by the time we got there in the evening. Everyone, and I mean everyone, came to touch my bump, even people I didn't know very well. I was so touched out by the end of the night I nearly cried. Following day, my FIL decided to touch my bump without asking and comment on my bod, I ended up hiding upstairs for a while because I had really had enough.

As a society, we generally try not to comment on peoples bodies and certainly not touch people without their permission. Why does that then go out of the window when someone is pregnant?! Sorry all, rant over. Happy Easter!

NSx · 10/04/2023 21:44

@SoBoredOfWaiting I hope you’re ok 💓💓 I can see why you would be upset and I’m sorry you felt like that, it’s not nice 🤍 I do feel our hormones are playing with us at the minute though and probably heighten situation, I cried 2 days ago because my OH used the washing machine when I wanted to use it myself 😂😂😂😂…

Chanteuse · 10/04/2023 21:45

@NSx ill have to try them!!

@SoBoredOfWaiting that is just so rude I’m not surprised you felt so overwhelmed! I’m not a touchy person either so this would literally drive me insane. It’s so annoying how all social etiquette seems to go out of the window when it comes to pregnant women! 🙄🙄

NSx · 10/04/2023 21:52

@Chanteuse 100% recommend. Put them in the fridge then cut them. Nice, juicy and refreshing 🤣😍

blebbleb · 10/04/2023 21:58

@SoBoredOfWaiting that's really rude of people to be touching your bump without asking. No one ever did that to me in my last pregnancy. I'd hate it too! Can you ask them not to next time someone tries? It's hard but I think you need to be direct. Some people have no boundaries x

I'm loving cold apples fresh from the fridge too!

Though my latest version includes a chunk of cheddar on each slice.

So. Good.

NSx · 10/04/2023 22:18

@monsteramunch ill be trying this tomorrow 😍 I love cheese, but I’m terrified of having too much dairy as my skin is horrendous at the minute and worried it may make it worse 😩

bigblueocean · 10/04/2023 22:27

@peonygirl I'm so sorry. Sending you big hugs and a hand hold. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and I've not stop vomiting (at least 4 times a day since week 3, sometimes up to 10 times a day, and constantly nauseous). I thought I'd be turning a corner over the last week but it was a really bad one AND i've now developed what looks like acne. I'm exhausted but grateful to be here (I'm an old first time mum) and I know it will all be worth it, but it's hard and isolating. I was given cariban which lessened the vomiting, but I still 'felt sick' and got very constipated from it, so I stopped - that was a bad choice. I'm holding out hope it will get easier soon. Sending big hugs.

Love reading about everyones experiences; thank you everyone for sharing and congratulations!

VictoriaBlossom · 10/04/2023 22:38

@SoBoredOfWaiting I'm gonna be positive in this.
You girl are one hell of a strong lady, hold your head high and applaud yourself for not shouting at someone, telling them to fuck off or punching them in the face.

Surrounded by those drunk people, invading your space, touching your bump..... you are incredible. Be so proud of yourself for holding back, these people under the influence have zero filter and it sounded a bit like a scene from Shaun of the dead.
Don't be sad, be proud

VictoriaBlossom · 10/04/2023 22:52

Ps @SoBoredOfWaiting
I'd have definitely lost my shit, luckily I have a resting bitch face so can't see people approaching to touch my belly.

Would spend my whole evening fantasising about drop kicking people in the face if I was in your position

katherine123x · 11/04/2023 09:45

Anyone else fed up!! I know we are all extremely lucky to be in this but omg! The tiredness and nausea and sickness is just relentless. 12+5 here and just no end in sight. It's so difficult to do anything I feel like a rubbish wife and friend at the moment!!

LWestYorks · 11/04/2023 10:02

Morning ladies! I’m 14 weeks today and for the last week or so been getting very light pink/peach when I wipe myself on the tissue (sorry TMI!!) it’s not all the time and not loads of it but it’s really playing with my anxiety and unsure what to do…

ttcttc · 11/04/2023 10:12

Omg it's not just me enjoying apples at the minute then 🤤

Needtobuildabridge · 11/04/2023 10:34

@katherine123x I had such a fed-up day yesterday, but today seems better - not sure if it's hormones, or just burnt out from Easter!

@LWestYorks I'm sorry that I have no advice, didn't want to read and run. Lots of people on these threads have had similar, and everything has been fine. Maybe phone the midwife for advice?

AlongcameLainey · 11/04/2023 10:39

So I’ve mostly been craving everything ready salted then last week started with ice pops. I then discovered sour apple slushies 😍

Alexandra07 · 11/04/2023 10:55

@LWestYorks I would call my GP and asked to be referred to epu, unless you can contact directly your epu. Better to be checked for peace of mind.

@katherine123x I can't wait for the placenta to take over but I feel so lucky I can complain about pregnancy symptoms! It took us so long to reach this point. I feel more reassured when I feel unwell, it makes it feel real!
