Good luck to everyone having their scans this week. Let us know how they go. Hoping to see lots of lovely scan pics!

im currently waiting for my third nipt test to come back after two inconclusive results. We’ve done this last one with a different company so hopefully we will get some results either way as the waiting is killing me. I’m currently 14w+ and had my first nipt bloods done at 11 weeks so three weeks of uncertainty so far. We also have held off telling anybody but it’s starting to get harder and harder to hide 🙈

cruciverbalista · 10/04/2023 15:14

@peonygirl do you think it's hyperemesis? Are you dehydrated? I'm worried about you, you need fluids and care x

iloveeggs · 10/04/2023 15:20

@peonygirl Go to your GP and ask if there are any meds that can help. I couldn't keep anything down at all for days and they put me on cariban and I'm sooooo much better now. It's def worth a shot.

peonygirl · 10/04/2023 15:32

@cruciverbalista I do suspect it is hyperemesis but everyone I spoke to so far told me all this is normal and I shouldn't worry. I feel if I cannot do anything it shouldn't be considered normal but who knows. I am forcing myself to drink but definitely not getting more than 750ml/day in. Water is a no go - I throw up immediately. Cold drinks don't work, warm tea or warm water with lemon is what I sip throughout the day.

@iloveeggs I spoke to GP two weeks ago and was told it is normal to feel this bad and I should rest. Which is all I can really do. I spoke to my clinician and was told it is just horrible but need to push through. GP told me to wait till I see my midwife - which is dragging so much but now it's 3 days away and I will wait for this appointment. Hopefully they will suggest something to help me.

LaVitesse2022 · 10/04/2023 15:38

@peonygirl you're right that if it's affecting your life to the point you can't do anything it's not normal. There are meds that can help, you shouldn't be suffering for so long. Keep pushing for a solution and I hope you get one soon x

cruciverbalista · 10/04/2023 15:39

@peonygirl I'm furious for you that you've been dismissed like that. You deserve care! If you can't cope before the appointment please call 111 or your local mat hospital.

Alexandra07 · 10/04/2023 15:40

@peonygirl it's sounds horrible, definitely talk to the GP again after the midwife, it's not common to be that sick! A colleague was prescribed medication to help her as she was throwing up daily.

I have my 12 week scan on Thursday. my nipt results should be back next week. I hope everything is fine. I just want to hear some good news, relax and enjoy the pregnancy!

NSx · 10/04/2023 16:04

@peonygirl if you’re going to ring 111 I would do it today if your GP is closed as 111 will not entertain you during GP working hours.
I hope someone can help you 🤍💓 I had bad nausea so can relate however yours sounds more severe, I hope you’re ok

iloveeggs · 10/04/2023 16:07

@peonygirl im so angry for you. Not being able to keep anything down even water is actually dangerous if you get really dehydrated, please try another GP or get in touch with your midwife as soon as possible. It’s not normal, hope you get some help soon ❤️❤️

Onethingiwantfor23 · 10/04/2023 17:49

I had a private scan today (11w 4d) just to ease some anxiety around loss of symptoms. All ok and baby looking happy in there. I don't understand the nub but any guesses??

Mldn · 10/04/2023 18:35

@Onethingiwantfor23 ah such a cute pic! Really glad to see this as I’m having an early scan when 11w3d as I’m seeing my family the days following & my NHS scan isn’t until the week acted & I want to tell my family in person .. was wondering g what an 11 week scan would look like! Deffo a cute baba.

my symptoms have all literally gone, have you been the same? I’m 10w1d x

Summer022 · 10/04/2023 18:37

@Mldn yep, 11+5 and symptoms have gone. It seems other ladies are experiencing the same so it must be fairly normal/common at this stage xx

Mldn · 10/04/2023 18:39

@Summer022 thanks for replying. Mine all went when I was about 8/9 weeks. I had a scan at 8 weeks & all was good. So since then nothing has really changed but it freaks me out so much I have no symptoms yet I’m apparently pregnant! I am extremely tired though & still can’t stomach a brew when I used to have 5 a day!! X

LWestYorks · 10/04/2023 18:56

@cruciverbalista im 13+5 and the last 5 days my sickness has been awful but I’m getting really really bad headaches too!

Chanteuse · 10/04/2023 18:58

I’m 14+1 and I still have a bit of sickness but mainly sore boobs and I’m still exhausted 😴 I’m really hoping that I get more energy soon, was hoping to feel a bit less tired by now 😩

Alexandra07 · 10/04/2023 19:04

Congratulations @Onethingiwantfor23 ! Lovely scan! I can't even see the nub! So bad at it!

Onethingiwantfor23 · 10/04/2023 19:13

@Mldn Thank you. It's grown so much in 2 weeks. Yes, my nausea has stopped but the sonography said that's perfectly normal as the placenta has taken over from the yolk sac now. Good luck with yours.

@Alexandra07 Thank you. I don't understand the nub theory at all - even when it's pointed out to me! Grin

monsteramunch · 10/04/2023 19:14

Aah so cute @Onethingiwantfor23 Flowers

LWestYorks · 10/04/2023 19:20

@Chanteuse im still super exhausted too - have no energy to do anything. Was hoping it subsided by now 😩

Chanteuse · 10/04/2023 19:49

It’s difficult isn’t it @LWestYorks… I’m still having massive naps during the day… seriously exhausted!

I’ve just booked my private gender scan 🤩 it’s at window to the womb on 27/4 when I’ll be 16+4 🥰

NSx · 10/04/2023 20:07

@Chanteuse I had a ‘2 hour nap’ 😂😂😂 today at lunch. Does this count as a nap 😂😅 or a bit of a sleep 😅🥹
@Onethingiwantfor23 i can’t see your nub on your pic. I can’t really see it on mine either, like I can’t tell if it’s the nub or a bit of a leg 😂😂😂 it’s so hard

VictoriaBlossom · 10/04/2023 20:07

@LWestYorks @Chanteuse I loved this weekend, 2 hour power naps daily making me feel like an absolute queen.

Sat in nandos and just cannot decide what I want

VictoriaBlossom · 10/04/2023 20:08

@NSx if that's a nub maaaaate that boy is HUNG 😂😂😂😂

Ps I know nothing about nubs so I am joking about

2 hour naps are amazing

LWestYorks · 10/04/2023 20:14

talking of nubs I am useless but anyone fancy a guess?
