@Needtobuildabridge Gardened for a half hour yesterday and my back is completely gone now haha 🙃

SnookyPook · 08/04/2023 20:35

@Alexandra07 I'm also consultant led and my first appointment with them is the day of my 12 wk scan 👍🏻

MeganC104 · 08/04/2023 20:42

My boob pain comes and goes.

DancingNancies · 08/04/2023 20:54

@Needtobuildabridge @cruciverbalista I've spent this afternoon gardening and I'm already regretting it - the garden looks lovely but can feel myself seizing up already!

My barely-there symptoms have almost gone, I get surprised every now and again when something quite normal makes me gag, or when I get horrific heartburn despite not having eaten for hours! 🤦‍♀️

LR94 · 08/04/2023 21:22

@Summer022 i’m 11+3 aswell today and i feel like mine aren’t as painful. They are at certain points, usually first thing in the morning and maybe in the evening but other than that they are back to normal. It was stressing me out aswell but i’ve read a few things online that its normal xxx

LR94 · 08/04/2023 21:31

Does anyone else feel like they have put on alot of weight? I find I’m constantly eating otherwise i’ll feel really sick.
i’ve always struggled to lose weight and its just causing me abit of anxiety, I don’t mind getting bigger carrying a baby but i’m worried its all weight from food.
I’m unsure if i’ve got a bump yet, i think because my belly wasn’t flat before, its more like my fat is just being pushed out haha.
I’m also really worried about starting to workout aswell as i’ve got the subchorionic hematoma (not sure if thats spelt correct) I don’t want to do anything too active to disrupt it.
Sorry if this sounds so ridiculous because there are so many more things to worry about than weight. I’m probably just having a moment.

Needtobuildabridge · 08/04/2023 21:36

@DancingNancies Digging for the 3rd day today, and I am so seized up! Thankfully it's all done now! I think I'll be hobbling for days 😂

@LR94 I can totally relate as I felt like this in my first 12 weeks and was really down about it! Ate whatever I fancied at the time which was mostly beige food and definitely put on a few pounds.

However I’m now 14 weeks and I can honestly say I feel like a totally different person the past fortnight! I’ve had the week off so I’ve managed to get a few mild walks in and now I feel super motivated to stay healthy but to not hit it too hard.

I also had a subchorionic hematoma in a previous pregnancy and I was told to have bed rest for at least a week so it could resolve itself, so please make sure you prioritise resting for now! Then in a few weeks when you’re feeling better and the weather is nicer, you can maybe start thinking about being a bit more active! For now, look after yourself and the bean and don’t beat yourself up about it ❤️

Alexandra07 · 08/04/2023 23:59

@LR94 I eat all the time or nausea kicks in, I understand you. I am definitely bigger, although at 11 weeks it can't be the baby! I haven't really gained any weight, it must be the hormones relaxing the muscles. Your weight gain may not be as bad as you fear. Prioritise yourself. Once you feel better, after 12/13 weeks hopefully, you can focus on eating healthier and doing some light exercise. Take care of yourself and don't forget that your body is growing a human!

Thanks for sharing @SnookyPook

Be careful ladies when gardening, it increases risk of getting toxoplasmosis, just take all needed precautions. Or like me, use it as an excuse for the husband to do all the gardening! 😁

monsteramunch · 09/04/2023 00:58

Happy either way (obviously!) but trying to distract myself from a bit of anxiety (non pregnancy related) and thought some experts / experienced scan viewers / nub theory fans might be able to share their guesses for fun?!

Probably too soon to tell anything but as I say, it's a fun distraction!

Happy Easter everyone!

@monsteramunch definitely not an expert, but could it be a boy? It's this how you work it out?

@Needtobuildabridge we’re preparing to sell the house so have had a busy weekend of gardening, jet washing, sorting out the junk in the house and painting (though my DP did most of that I just helped a bit with a fence). Just doing the front lawn exhausted me yesterday, but it will all be worth it to move to a bigger house and the kids have all been great helpers and are super excited about moving.

LR94 · 09/04/2023 09:03

@monsteramunch @Alexandra07 i think you do the angles off the nub but i think its so hard to see the nub on some scan pictures. I’ll definitely be doing this on my 12 week scan picture haha!

LR94 · 09/04/2023 09:06

@Alexandra07 @VanillaOat thanks for your messages, I can’t wait to just get active and feel better and more alive haha. The first 12 weeks really has been a challenge, harder than I thought it was going to be. Lets hope the sickness gets better soon! I’m currently 11+4 so counting down the days! Xxx

JoanneV · 09/04/2023 09:33

12+1 tired, my legs hurt and have a constant lump in my throat which is so foreign cause I usually have a handle on my emotions.

Also empathy for DH to do with anything is gone. I feel kinda bad about it but also it feels almost biological, like I want to feel empathy for him but I just can't. We've told no one so I'm excited for this week to tell family and friends so I can vent a bit outside of MN. 😂

NSx · 09/04/2023 09:48

Happy Easter everyone 🐣💛🤍

I’ve so far consumed 2 M&S chocolate hot cross buns before 9am 😂😂

have a lovely day with your friends and family 💕

VictoriaBlossom · 09/04/2023 10:22

@NSx I bought the banoffee ones from m+s and I was so disappointed.
I can't stand cinnamon so always need to random flavoured hot cross buns.

When's your next sitting? As I mean, there's 4 in a pack.
I also did mean to reply to you. I am ok, 11w and now my (very few) symptoms are gone.
I feel grateful for this group because it curbs my extreme anxiety when everyone else is going through the same

Bee1994 · 09/04/2023 10:36

12+5 now and sickness seems to have improved a lot since yesterday lunchtime (so much that I haven’t had to take my cyclizine this morning for the first time in 5 weeks!) I feel like this is good but it also makes me anxious!

Summer022 · 09/04/2023 10:37

@LR94 i feel exactly the same way about my tummy 🤣 It definitely doesn’t look like a bump, more like I am pushing out my tummy fat. I tried looking for a bump first thing in the morning as I wouldn’t be so bloated but still nothing 😆

NSx · 09/04/2023 10:40

@VictoriaBlossom sooooo my friends in England got those ones, I couldn’t find them up here 😂😅 so annoyed. The chocolate ones were not disappointing however I may have melted chocolate in my toaster now. I don’t like raisins or dried fruit so regular HCB are a no go for me 😂
I don’t know I’m going to my in-laws for an Easter roast, so my next sitting might have to wait until tomorrows breakfast 😂😂😂😂😂😂 was going to share with OH but I’ve decided against this 😅🥹

I wish I was you, I still have nausea 😳 and also have the worst skin ever 😵‍💫 … I was told by my midwife things should resolve a bit by 16 weeks 😂😂😂 seems like a lifetime away 🥹 my scan yesterday dates me as 11+4 today. Are we still about the same? X

VictoriaBlossom · 09/04/2023 10:46

@NSx 11w1 today according to scan a few weeks ago. I am so spotty, my shoulders and back are spotty too! Like round sore spots! I didn't think of that being hormones, it's weird cos they're all the right side of my body!
You didn't miss out on the banoffee ones, chocolate ones and cheese ones are the best!

Are you telling in laws today?
I'm dreading telling my in laws 😭 x

NSx · 09/04/2023 10:51

@VictoriaBlossom my face is like a dot to dot, it’s not went on my body though thank God but I feel ugly as f 😂😅 …. Pure bumpy skin it’s vile. I hope it passes cos it’s horrendous.
ooooh I’ve never had cheese ones, didn’t see them yesterday either 🥹

yesssss we are telling them today! We told my parents last night 💓 I am a bit nervous but also will be relieved to let go of the secret. I’m more terrified of telling my work to be honest 😅😅😅😅😅
when are you telling? After your 12 w? x

VictoriaBlossom · 09/04/2023 11:03

@NSx yeah work, mate I'm completely dreading it. I am the only commercial manager in the business and I do all the sales and there's probably 5 or 6 people in the country who could do my job as we all work for the competing business.... and they wouldn't be as good looking or clever as me 😂😂😂😂
Luckily I negotiated a maternity package that I could still offer an hour or two a day if baby permits. So they do know a baby is imminent.

In laws wise, I just don't want MIL to guilt trip me that we didn't tell her sooner. And FIL is just gonna reply "I knew all along"

It's just gonna really take the shine off telling them as before we were really excited but I backed off the idea of telling them Mother's Day as MIL has told her friendship group some of our business that we wanted to keep private. So although she didn't mean it in malice, we're private people.

After the worry of my sickle cell trait, I felt it's better to hold out as long as possible to mitigate further stress.

I hope you have a lovely day today and filled with over the moon in laws ❤️

VictoriaBlossom · 09/04/2023 11:03

@NSx probably weekend after the scan I'll tell them maybe? I don't wanna tell them 😂

iloveeggs · 09/04/2023 12:01

Girls can anyone help me. My niece has chickenpox, we were meant to be meeting them today. I’ve had chickenpox before so assumed it’s okay but now I don’t know? Is there a risk to baby??
