I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

@OnNaturesCourse even if your on the books at the EPU you still need to book in with the midwives like you normally would. You would be surprised how much they don't talk to each other

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:17

Anyone had any cravings yet? I am addicted to spicy food 😂 anything that’s going to burn my mouth off give it here lol x

bringmearainbow · 20/04/2023 10:27

@Mummy1502 crisps crisps and more crisps 😂 I don't dislike crisps but I usually can take 'em or leave 'em

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:29

@bringmearainbow i bought the nandos sauces in tesco and now have them with everything 😂 tbf I’ve always liked spice but this seems insane x

Rainbowdust557 · 20/04/2023 10:31

@smldnlove I don't remember having bloating like this the first time round. I didn't look pregnant to strangers until I was about 8 months! Apparently the bloat is meant to go down around 12 weeks...we will see 🤣

OnNaturesCourse · 20/04/2023 10:32

@Mummy1502 I wouldn't say I have cravings yet but definitely strong notions for things that I need...right now lol. With my other kids I had certain foods that I basically lived off for the whole 9 months lol.

bringmearainbow · 20/04/2023 10:35

@Mummy1502 mmmm yummy I love Nando's sauce I can't eat anything more than medium 😂 my mouth is on fire otherwise. In fact I could eat a Nando's now 😂

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:38

@OnNaturesCourse its strange isn’t it, I can’t really remember many cravings with my others, my third girl was chocolate and lots of it! My boy I just ate everything and anything from what I can remember, I’d say more carby with him pasta, onions, salty foods, I’m only 4+5, booked a private early scan today for when I’m 6 weeks x

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:39

@bringmearainbow thats exactly what I’ve been craving! A nandos lol, that’s why I bought the sauces, made my own nandos the other night it was so good x

bringmearainbow · 20/04/2023 10:40

@Mummy1502 I couldn't go anywhere near chicken cooked or raw in my first pregnancy hubby is praying that doesn't happen again because it's his favourite food 😂

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:41

@bringmearainbow how far along are you? X

OnNaturesCourse · 20/04/2023 10:42

@Mummy1502 similar here - I've always found it's sweet or bitter cravings for a girl and savory or spicy for a boy.

So far I can't put my finger on a trend in mine! Possibly more sweet.

bringmearainbow · 20/04/2023 10:43

@Mummy1502 5+4 so plenty of time for the chicken aversion to arrive 🙊

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:46

@OnNaturesCourse yea I have read that too and seems to be right in my case, we have 3 girls and 1 boy, only thing I can put my finger on atm is spicy but who knows I’m sure its got time to change over the next few weeks, I don’t mind which gender as long as baby is healthy, would be nice for our son to have a boy on his side though 😂 x

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:46

@bringmearainbow you'll have to keep us updated x

ai38 · 20/04/2023 10:50

Just got a text message for my booking appointment on 19th of May. I will be 9+3 by then. Is the timing alright? or a bit late?

I was reading on NHS website that there are some tests (Thalassemia and sickle cell disease) that need to be done before week 10. Do they carry out the tests during this visit or they give you a later test date in this appointment?

OnNaturesCourse · 20/04/2023 10:50

I believe baby presents its gender in your blood etc by 6ish weeks so I'm going to keep a eye on my cravings from that point on!

With my first I "knew" from 6 weeks that it was a girl. Just woke up one day and felt it. Very strange. I was so set on it that I even bought "girl" things.

Is anyone going to find out the gender?

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:53

@OnNaturesCourse thats interesting, maybe I’m just being a pig then 😂 I’m only 4+5 x

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:54

@OnNaturesCourse yea I will find out gender, I have done with all of mine, I’m too impatient x

bringmearainbow · 20/04/2023 10:54

@Mummy1502 I will do 😂 how far along are you?

@ai38 mine have always done bloods at the booking appointment

@OnNaturesCourse we were talking about this last night and think we're pretty set on another surprise

Pipiscoming2023 · 20/04/2023 10:55

Hey all, so lovely to see all your posts! I’m looking for some advice please.

My periods have been all over the place (cycles as long as 32 days in some cases) but I know the date of conception is definitely the 1st April as we weren’t actively trying and that’s the only date we DTD. The date of my last period was 23rd March though, so I ovulated extremely quickly after that (meaning a really short cycle I guess!)

I started to feel really sick on Monday so took a test and it was a really, really dark positive. Now my issue is working out what week I am? If I put the conception date in it says I’m due 23rd December, but my period date makes it a week later.

I have had a lot of issues with ectopics and MMC so keen to get an early scan, but not sure when to book one in for.

Thank you and lots of sticky baby dust for us all ✨

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:56

@bringmearainbow im only 4+5 x

OnNaturesCourse · 20/04/2023 10:57

Not at all @Mummy1502 😂 the pregnancy hunger is real from the moment of conception for me mostly. The heartburn and digestive issues have put a stop to that so far this time though!

Mummy1502 · 20/04/2023 10:57

@Pipiscoming2023 congratulations, this confuses me too, I’ve done my dates from first day of last period as that’s what the doctors would work the dates as but I think you get more accurate dates from your scan x

OnNaturesCourse · 20/04/2023 10:58

@Pipiscoming2023 I believe the GP and midwife will go from your last period.
