I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

@Albiboba Yes I started getting quite a few pimples (and since starting the pill my skin has been super clear) along with feeling really hot & really sore nipples, I just felt something wasn't quite right so took a test on the off chance and safe to say got quite a big shock!

Charlielechat · 19/04/2023 10:53

@HappyPie82 Yes completely agree with you! 4 weeks today and counting the days and just waiting for something to go wrong 😣
@smldnlove Ah that's not too far away for you then :) I have another 3 weeks to wait. Can't cope lol!

OnNaturesCourse · 19/04/2023 12:00

Hi ladies.

Sorry just a quick check in.

Had my scan today and good news is my pain and bleeding etc has not been an ectopic pregnancy.

They seen a yolk sack and fetal pole (external scan) but no heartbeat. Measuring at 6 weeks. They also seen another "area" that didn't contain anything too visible ("yet" they said) Just a white dot it looks like to me.

They have asked me go back next week for another scan to check growth and hopefully heartbeat plus check on this other "area".

DP and I are now pretty sure of continuing this pregnancy after being the little blob on the scan (we weren't wanting to see but the lady scanning me handed me a picture on my way out - probably thought she was being kind) Despite the strain it's going to put us under, I feel connect to this wee blob already now.

DaisyMay25 · 19/04/2023 12:07

@OnNaturesCourse what a rollercoaster of emotions for you, glad you had the scan though and you got your answers. Are you having a follow up scan at some point or is your next one the 12 week one?

DaisyMay25 · 19/04/2023 12:20

Apparently my calculations weren't great, I'm 4 weeks today, not tomorrow, and due date is 26/12 (I'll have a section before that though) I inputted it on nhs app lmp and length of cycle and that's what it gave me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mummy1502 · 19/04/2023 12:24

@OnNaturesCourse how lovely for you, congratulations, are they thinking the other area is a possible twin? X

OnNaturesCourse · 19/04/2023 12:29

@DaisyMay25 @Mummy1502

Ive to go back next week so they check on the heartbeat hopefully apparently they offer this to all people who have pain/ectopic scare. Plus they want to check on this other "area" they could see. They didnt say what it could be but just said nothing "really" was showing/had developed enough to show on the external scan. All it had was a white dot on it and only when she pushed hard on my stomach with the scanner. She did say it could just be a shadow or mirror effect but it's too early to tell.

Mummy1502 · 19/04/2023 12:36

@OnNaturesCourse good luck I hope all goes well for you, there seems to be a few twins on this thread, what a lovely surprise if it is x

Oldermum84 · 19/04/2023 14:14

@Landsmen I was given metoclopramide with my DS and it definitely took the edge off. I'm going to try to go without for as long as I can this time though as I'm sure it made me exhausted (though that might just be pregnancy).

@TulipVictory I will update after my scan!

@Buttons86 thanks!

Landsmen · 19/04/2023 14:17

I'm off work @Jammydodged because its my day off, I don't have HG so can't be signed off. I have spent most of the day in bed and let my toddler watch TV all morning

Charlielechat · 19/04/2023 15:13

@DaisyMay25 I didn't realise there would be a difference! I've just checked mine on NHS now too and it's now saying my due date is Christmas Day 🙈 Let's hope for two little early Christmas presents 😂

Jammydodged · 19/04/2023 16:10

@Landsmen ah that’s not good. What will you do about work? I have been off sick today - feeling very guilty about work but not sure how I’d do my job with the way I’ve been feeling.

smldnlove · 19/04/2023 16:42

@Ehc1989 Oh gosh! We are literally in the exact same position. I’ve just told my MOH on our lunch break as we both work in the city - she was so happy and not upset at all about me ruining the hen do plans! Feel relieved and we have a plan to hide it from the others. You will have the best time this weekend!! Had you planned to conceive now?

we will also be 12 weeks on the wedding day, 12 weeks and 1 day I believe. Are you planning to do an early scan before 12 weeks?

@allthingspinkx Hi! Congratulations! He may very well suprise you, you never know. Best thing is to tell him so you are not alone in it and can talk though all the feelings x

Ehc1989 · 19/04/2023 17:46

@smldnlove we were kind of trying but no trying, it was the first month and it happened! This was the earliest I wanted to fall pregnant as my wedding dress is tight and I wanted to fit into it lol
Yes I’m going to try get an early scan just before it! Will you?

wannabemum38 · 19/04/2023 18:20

Feel like poo today constant nausea completely gone off my food. Sleeping on and off all day. Urgh. Doctor is phoning tomorrow to help with my migraine medication and anxiety about my previous losses.
Sorry to have a downer post feel bad for even moaning wanted this baby for so long.

allthingspinkx · 19/04/2023 18:27

@smldnlove Thank you! I think I might wait until 4 weeks to tell him, don't want to rush telling him in case I have an early miscarriage etc and then he's worrying over nothing!

I don't suppose anyone could advise when to call the doctors and the process? This will be my first so completely new to everything!

chloe3103 · 19/04/2023 18:27

did you find you were cramping when bleeding at all?

DaisyMay25 · 19/04/2023 18:44

@allthingspinkx here they advise 6-8 weeks to book it online, I'm not sure what the process is for your area. How many weeks are you now?

OnNaturesCourse · 19/04/2023 19:35

@wannabemum38 don't feel bad about being honest. Pregnancy is hard!

smldnlove · 19/04/2023 20:25

@Ehc1989 Yeah I’m going to try next week at 6 weeks. Just so I know before I go away, but will see what OH thinks too. I’d like to have a definitive before hen do where I’m sure the girls will guess and it’ll come out.

my wedding dress is already tight too and I’ve been trying to lose a bit off my thighs. So god help me. If all fails May have to get an over skirt or a plan B dress.

@wannabemum38 sorry you are feeling like this. Hoping it passes and you can feel more positive and certain soon. It’s a rollercoaster be kind to yourself!

@allthingspinkx alzo wondering about when to contact the GP. I’m 5 weeks today and was told you should contact them as soon as you get your BFP. I haven’t yet though…

wannabemum38 · 19/04/2023 20:48

@OnNaturesCourse @smldnlove thanks ladies. It's a roller-coaster ride of emotions for sure.
I did a self referral for midwife when I got my 3+ on cb digital and I was 5+2. Not heard anything yet they said to call if I've not heard within 14 days so on Friday will be calling up to chase that.

Buttons86 · 19/04/2023 21:44

I did my self-referral today and got my booking appointment and scan dates through a few hours later. I am
nearly 8 weeks and was waiting until had a scan before doing it.

wannabemum38 · 19/04/2023 21:50

@Buttons86 wow your hospital are quick!

smldnlove · 19/04/2023 21:54

Anyone else really bloated and looking about 4 months pregnant (but not!). I can’t believe how bloated I am, can barely do my trousers up and it’s only 5 weeks… does it go away?

@wannabemum38 thank you I may try and do the same in the next few days.

Buttons86 · 19/04/2023 21:57

@wannabemum38 yea it was super quick. I wasn’t sure if it was because I was a bit later in doing it and they do it in date order or just very efficient!
