I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

Congratulations @Retrogamer it's a weird feeling isn't it.
We had come to terms with not having kids naturally I was diagnosed with secondary unexplained infertility after having 2 MC and a CP we focused on organising our wedding in the summer. If all goes to plan I will now be 5 months when we say I do but if I get my rainbow baby I don't care.

Emlo1996 · 18/04/2023 20:02

Anyone else getting so bloated after eating? I feel so full and bloated after not even eating much for tea 😵‍💫

Buttons86 · 18/04/2023 20:05

Welcome to all the new joiners!

I had a reassurance scan done today at the EPU. They have dated me as 7+5 and saw the heartbeat. Such a relief after a previous loss and a long journey of trying to get pregnant. Feels like crossed the first hurdle! I am on progesterone pessaries as well and the EPU have said I can come of these now.

Still can’t believe it but finally allowing myself to hope that it might work out for us this time.

Ive been prescribed anti sickness as have been struggling with bad sickness since last week. There is another thread for this but I’ve found that eating small bites often and having ice lollies has helped with that. It is pretty grim though.

I may have missed the answer to this but if join the Facebook group can people see you have joined?

rankin21 · 18/04/2023 20:14

I'm going to tentatively join in this thread... got my BFP last Friday which would make me 5weeks 1day today based on my last period dates.

I had an early miscarriage February 2022 and it took a while to get over it and then had about 6/7 months of ttc

I'm feeling nervous given our previous loss but also hopefully as well as this would be our first.

It's funny cos I remember when we first started talking about ttc and we were like yeah not a December baby it's too close to Christmas blah blah blahhh and now we couldn't be more excited😂😂😂😂

Retrogamer · 18/04/2023 20:18

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses @wannabemum38
And all the best for your wedding, sounds like it's going to be a eventful year 😊
Your rainbow baby might even be able to get in on the wedding photos in the form of a neat bump.

Mummy1502 · 18/04/2023 20:21

Welcome and congratulations to the new ladies on the thread x

chloe3103 · 18/04/2023 20:32

That’s good!
I bled once and haven’t since! I’ve got a check up on Friday so hopefully it’s gone

Smileyface32 · 18/04/2023 20:43

@Buttons86 such good news from the reassurance scan. I’ve got one more week to go as I need to wait until 8 weeks. Feels like time is dragging!

OnNaturesCourse · 18/04/2023 20:50

@Emlo1996 Yeh, that's me. I have to chew all my food extra as well or I get super full and indigestion/heartburn.

I using heartburn tablets as sweets most days.

DaisyMay25 · 18/04/2023 20:51

@Smileyface32 the first trimester drags so much!
Wish I hadn't found out so early, I'm not even 4 weeks and just wanting time to whizz by!

OnNaturesCourse · 18/04/2023 20:54

@Mummy1502 I'm not 100% as I had a "funny" cycle the previous month when TTC and then last month we weren't TTC and used protection plus didn't DTD in my suspected fertile window.

By my calculations I should be either 9w 2d or 5w.

Buttons86 · 18/04/2023 21:04

@Smileyface32 it really does drag…try and distract yourself until then. I felt like I was wishing time away until could have it. I hope it goes well for you.

Congrats @rankin21 , agree that there is a real mix of feelings when have had a loss but keeping everything crossed for you.

Rainbowdust557 · 18/04/2023 21:11

That is brilliant news @Buttons86 and @HannahLouD What a lovely scan picture! Must be such a relief, it's the not knowing that's so tough and hoping all is progressing as it should! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Charlielechat · 18/04/2023 21:27

Also feeling like it's dragging...and it's only been 2 days since my positive 😂
Being at work definitely helps but as soon as I get home I look at everything pregnancy related - can't switch off!

YorkshireWoldsMama · 18/04/2023 21:40

Hello! Can I join? I'm 5 weeks 2 days with baby n#2.

I'm feeling so excited but also really nervous. I've not had any nausea, just a bit of cramping occasionally.

SMG1992 · 18/04/2023 22:34

The midwife called today after my self referral so I have an appointment on11th May then they’ll book me in for my scan
i also have a private scan booked for 1st May which I really can’t wait for. I think I’m going to be wishing away May until the first trimester is over!

smldnlove · 18/04/2023 23:16

Thank you for the welcome everyone! 💕

@Charlielechat that seems sensible yeah. Think we will do the same for most family but may tell my mum soon. I didn’t know you could get a scan so early - is that 7 weeks from conception or last period?

smldnlove · 18/04/2023 23:18

Hi! @YorkshireWoldsMama im just behind you and 5 weeks tomorrow. Also no symptoms at all apart from some minor cramping but nothing I wouldn’t expect from early AF symptoms. Congratulations! Have you done anything/booked anything in etc since finding out? 💕

smldnlove · 18/04/2023 23:26

@Ehc1989 so glad someone else is getting married soon!! How far along are you? I have my hen do abroad next Friday and am terrified of what I’m going to do and how to get away with it!

also will just be 12 weeks on the wedding day, what are you planning to do? Are you likely to get questions on the day about not drinking etc? X

Misspotterscat · 19/04/2023 05:53

I know we shouldn’t read too much into these results, but feeling so relieved to see this this morning

Due December 2023
DaisyMay25 · 19/04/2023 06:10

@Misspotterscat that's so good to see! I'm taking another frer either tomorrow or Friday to leave either a 4 or 5 day gap.

Anyone else got a bad tummy? TMI but it feels like period shits 😭 I'm guessing it could be the hormones or progesterone though

Mummy1502 · 19/04/2023 06:19

@OnNaturesCourse I’m sure all will be fine x

Mummy1502 · 19/04/2023 06:19

@Misspotterscat glad to see it’s gone up to 2-3 x

DaisyMay25 · 19/04/2023 07:07

Nice to see a progression!
