I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

@chloe3103 my scan at 6+0 weeks had a much smaller fetus than yours (looked like a diamond ring with the yolk sac) and was told that’s completely normal. I’m not an expert but your scan def looks more like 7 weeks! So perhaps just take what they said about being 6+1 with a pinch of salt. Hope the bleeding settles for you soon.

Misspotterscat · 17/04/2023 10:09

5 weeks today, sense of smell has definitely increased, and my boobs are much more sensitive. Still having the odd stomach cramp abs obsessively checking af hasn’t arrived.

when did everyone book in for antenatal care? I haven’t done anything about it yet but wondering if I should now. I’m so clueless about the whole thing.

bringmearainbow · 17/04/2023 11:11

@Misspotterscat I was convinced I smelt like BO yesterday no one else could smell it 😂 I have already done my referral in my experience they take a while to come through but other people gets theirs through quickly so I think it just depends on your area.

Pitstop1986 · 17/04/2023 11:21

I keep trying to ring the GP to get a referral and can't get an appointment! I'm 6+2 although 8 weeks according to my LMP.

I'm in 2 minds now about whether or not to just wait a few more days for the nausea to ramp up so that I can get anti sickness medication at the same time...

Some girls can self refer and do so straight away when they find out that they're pregnant, others wait a week or two

DaisyMay25 · 17/04/2023 11:24

I'm gonna see if I can pick my midwife, I want one I work with 😂

SighthoundLover · 17/04/2023 11:27

Hope it’s not too late to join? A bit in shock as I just came off the pill in march and somehow got my bfp in first month of trying. Super super lucky but now feel like something will go wrong as can’t be that easy. But fingers crossed it won’t then I’ll be due on December 23rd!

Due December 2023
DaisyMay25 · 17/04/2023 11:29

@Misspotterscat I work in antenatal and I have to refer myself online and they suggest between 6-8 weeks. I'm not sure how other trusts work though.
Unfortunately for me once I register it goes on the system for everyone at work to see so I'll be putting it off

Landsmen · 17/04/2023 11:34

Any recommendations for back pain. Was on a 6 hour flight yesterday holding my 1.5 year old and am so uncomfortable today

bringmearainbow · 17/04/2023 11:36

@Landsmen see if you can get a deep heat warming belt they have been a lifesaver for my backache when I couldn't use my hot water bottle

Due December 2023
DaisyMay25 · 17/04/2023 11:46

@bringmearainbow you've just reminded me I can't use a hot water bottle or have red hot baths 😭

bringmearainbow · 17/04/2023 11:55

@DaisyMay25 you can use a hot water bottle but yes red hot baths a no 😩

wannabemum38 · 17/04/2023 13:16

@DaisyMay25 yeah hot not too hot bottles on back are OK but not recommended on tummy pain.
I've got bad toothache today wisdom tooth is playing up. I had that when I was pregnant last time before I got my BFP. Hope all these symptoms are a good sign
Booked a private scan for 8 weeks so nervous

Landsmen · 17/04/2023 13:31

Thanks @bringmearainbow I'll try pick some up on the way home from work (even though I work in a pharmacy we don't sell any counter products)

OnNaturesCourse · 17/04/2023 13:51

Afternoon everyone.
How's everyone doing?

Ive had some pink discharge, and pinchy pains in my pelvis plus a achy back. Called my GP who told me to contact my EPU but they told me that they wouldn't see me it's up to the GP 🙄 so proper round in circles today.

Misspotterscat · 17/04/2023 13:56

Thanks for the responses to my question - I have called up and have an appointment in just over 2 weeks.

DaisyMay25 · 17/04/2023 15:05

I requested sone progesterone from my GP due to two previous miscarriages and he's issued me a prescription! I'm relieved! Hopefully it helps 🤞🏻

Charlielechat · 17/04/2023 16:02

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your BFPs and I really hope that those with worrying symptoms get the all clear!
I got my BFP yesterday at 10DPO and due 27th December! I had a chemical pregnancy several months ago at 4 weeks so whilst I'm excited I still have that worry that something is going to happen as I'm only 3+5 weeks today. Are any of you taking multivitamins on top of your folic acid?

99SR · 17/04/2023 16:22

@OnNaturesCourse i hope you’re ok! I’ve had some pains in My pelvis today that have been more noticeable that previously and a really sore back. Hoping it’s normal?! X

chloe3103 · 17/04/2023 16:43

Thank you!

HannahLouD · 17/04/2023 17:23

Hi all,

Just a little kind-of update from me...
I have a scan at the epu tomorrow at 10am as I still have right sided pain and dizziness. I'll be 6+3 if I go by opks and my bbt so pretty sure on dates... I don't really know what to expect. I'm obviously really hoping for a heartbeat but if there's not one, and it's not bad news, just inconclusive, I feel like it's going to drive me mad and make me feel even worse... Do you reckon I'd see a heartbeat at this stage? I'm so nervous now! x

OnNaturesCourse · 17/04/2023 17:27

Thanks SSR 💕
HannahLou - I have an appointment at my local EPU tomorrow too, at 930, for bloods. They won't scan until they have the results back from that.

HannahLouD · 17/04/2023 17:35

@OnNaturesCourse good luck! ✨
I didn't ask for a scan... They just called me and asked if I could come in for a scan... So I'll take it! x

FfoxRedN · 17/04/2023 17:58

Just a quick update from me. The scan was a bit bittersweet. One twin was measuring right on dates and looked ok, the other had almost vanished.
I just hope the surviving one is healthy and we're not set up for another trisomy loss.
I can't help but feel really negative. Another two weeks to wait for the next scan.

Mummy1502 · 17/04/2023 18:26

@FfoxRedN sorry to hear that, sending you lots of good luck x

DaisyMay25 · 17/04/2023 18:34

@Charlielechat I'm due 28th so early days here too! I picked up folic acid with vitamin d, it's all my fertility clinic told me to take last time too
