I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

@DaisyMay25 congratulations x

DaisyMay25 · 16/04/2023 15:00

@Mummy1502 thank you! Still in total shock! I work in antenatal too so putting off booking it as long as possible as it'll pop up on our system 😂
When's your due date?

DaisyMay25 · 16/04/2023 15:01

@Mummy1502 also to add I remember having cramping almost all my second trimester that felt like early period cramps but it can be completely normal just things adjusting 😊

Mummy1502 · 16/04/2023 15:27

@DaisyMay25 mines 24th December going by last af, yea I’ve had it on and off since around af due date, that’s why I thought I was going to come on, didn’t even get a faint positive until af was a day late x

99SR · 16/04/2023 16:21

@Mummy1502 im getting cramping today. Not constant, just on and off. Feels like the start of a period. Making me anxious.

Mummy1502 · 16/04/2023 16:21

@99SR yea that’s what mine feels like! X

Hi all,
7 + 2 today and due 1st December.
On Friday so at 7 weeks I woke up at 4am with a period like bleed (no clots or cramping). My partner and I immediately went to a&e where we had to wait 4 hours before being seen. I got seen by a gynaecologist and got an internal scan. The gynaecologist told me I have a very small hematoma which is situated quite far away from my baby and will likely not pose a threat. All he said was ‘take it easy, take this progesterone and see you in a week’. However the ultrasound nurse told me if I get anymore bleeding between now and then it’s most likely a miscarriage. I was a bit shocked by this as she wasn’t the gynaecologist and the gynaecologist did not seem concerned at all by it.
Obviously I am taking it easy for this next week but also slightly concerned because my bleeding stopped before I even got to a&e on the Friday. Since then I’ve just had coffee ground looking discharge when I wipe which I assume is old blood and this morning I had slight red/pink blood on the toilet paper when I wiped, but no where near as much as my first bleed.

Another thing as well is the ultrasound nurse told me she’s getting 6+1 as a measurement and I said ‘well I’m definitely 7 weeks as I’ve had another two scans done at the EPU at a different hospital and the measurements were fine there’ yet she still kept the 6+1 written on the photo.

Does anyone have experience with hematoma’s and whether you bleed slightly when passing the hematoma?

thank you,

here’s a photo for reference as well

@chloe3103 I don't think the sonographer should've said that. It's a bit of a bold claim, there's many reasons for bleeding in pregnancy that isn't miscarriage. I work with plenty of sonographers and none of them would say that.
Just keep an eye on the bleeding, more bleeding could easily be from the hematoma still. You could always make an appointment with your gp and see what they say or go to the early pregnancy unit if you have bled and are concerned.
Hopefully it resolves itself though 🤞🏻

chloe3103 · 16/04/2023 17:11

Thank you!
Yeah the sonographer worried me with her saying that and also saying she’s getting 6+1 as measurements. As throughout my whole pregnancy I’ve not had a single sonographer say that to me. If anything, my baby had done the opposite and was visible before a lot of babies are. For example, at 4 weeks I went to get an early assurance scan at the EPU and was told by the receptionist they definitely won’t see a sac, yet there it was. Was pretty surreal. But obviously just want everything to be okay, so this waiting game isn’t fun

DaisyMay25 · 16/04/2023 17:13

@chloe3103 have they booked you for a follow up scan or are you just waiting for your 12 week one now?

chloe3103 · 16/04/2023 17:14

They said they will be in contact this coming week about getting me to come in on Friday and see how it’s all going. Otherwise I’m going back to the walk-in early pregnancy unit at another hospital that I’ve had a good experience with

Hi all. I keep missing the link to the Facebook group. Please could someone post it again? Thanks

PhyllisVance23 · 16/04/2023 19:51

Hi @chloe3103 I had hematoma detected at 5+6 of my last pregnancy (2021, I have a 10 month old). The consultant told me not to worry about it and that I would either continue to bleed (which would be the hematoma!) or it would just reabsorb. I bled. All was fine. Some days brown, some days pink, some days red.... try not to worry. The consultant also told me 1/3 women bleed/spot in the first 12 weeks, which was reassuring x

LokihasafryingPan · 16/04/2023 20:14

Hi, can I join?

I'm 5 weeks due around 16th December (which is my nephews birthday - and revenge for my pldr nephew being due on the same day as my daughter 😂)

Really exited and nervous, been trying 2.5 years for number 2, and had just come to terms with it never happening!

If there's a FB page I'm happy to join if that's OK?

Thanks

Emlo1996 · 16/04/2023 20:28

@LokihasafryingPan I can’t post the link for some reason but it’s called ‘Due December 2023 UK’ ! Congratulations, I’m the same as you, around 5 weeks, due around 16th December! 😊

KIWI2023 · 16/04/2023 20:31

The Facebook link expires every 12 hours for some odd reason and then only admin can send a new one. Here it is❤️

Thanks, when I search there's a few that come up and I'm not sure, but I've requested to join the link provided by @kiwi2023 😊

I have such a amazing group that migrated to fb from here for my daughter in2018, would be wonderful to have the same this time too

DaisyMay25 · 16/04/2023 20:49

@LokihasafryingPan I'm the same with my due in January 2019 group, I even went to one of their weddings!

@LokihasafryingPan I'm the same with my due in January 2019 group, I even went to one of their weddings!

It's lovely isn't it 😊 seeing all the kids grow together.

We have had a few meet ups but no-one really lives near me from that group so it's been mainly online, but I'm not very sociable anyway so that's fine haha!

Pitstop1986 · 16/04/2023 21:05

6+1 and nausea has well and truly hit today!

Any nausea remedies? I can't remember feeling this bad with my first pregnancy and then I just ate dry crackers and spicy crisps to settle my stomach.

Sweetnlow · 16/04/2023 21:24

I have clicked the link to join but now it's disappeared from my Facebook page. Does it take a while to be admitted? Once admitted where do I find the group? Ah I am such a technophobe! 😅

wannabemum38 · 16/04/2023 21:30

My boobs still hurt so much. I am getting waves of nausea but nothing major potentially 6+1 today. I'm so paranoid still that although my tests said I'm.PG it's a phantom pregnancy or something is a miss. Not heard back from midwife yet be a week tomorrow how long have rest of you waited to get a letter with appointment?
Wish I wasn't so anxious about it all the time want to enjoy being pregnant it's a miracle I even got to this point naturally!

My2boysaremyworld · 16/04/2023 23:56

@wannabemum38 the midwives tend to contact you from week 8 xx

wannabemum38 · 17/04/2023 00:32

@My2boysaremyworld Thanks. They say on the referral form if haven't heard in 14 days to contact them. Last time I went through process they didn't ever send me a letter but that was during covid. X

bbypinkluffie · 17/04/2023 01:32

Sorry about your angel babies 🤍🤍xx I’m due 11th! Feeling so sick xx
