I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

I’m 7 weeks pregnant today , saw baby and heartbeat on Wednesday 💓 however I’ve been bleeding now for 2 weeks couldn’t see any reason for bleeding .. I have another scan on Monday
I’m just looking for some positive stories of similar things 🙏🏼😢

@HannahLouD I’m the exact same about the symptoms, keep feeling like it’s going wrong anytime symptoms change or reduce! I’m currently worrying because my boobs are less painful and I feel like the cramps have increased. Nhs will scan me at 7 weeks so I’m tempted to book a scan at 6 weeks privately for my own reassurance

Re: when to tell work.

My work asks for 15 weeks notice, so I hadn’t planned to say anything to anyone until 25 weeks, unless it becomes really visible.

However, my boss is heading off on her own maternity leave at the start of June and I’m stepping up into her Director role as her mat cover. One of the managers that currently reports into me also starts her mat leave that month.

I’m torn between telling them both as they go off on leave so they’ll know I might not be there when they come back. Or sticking with my original plan not to tell anyone at work until I have to so I can take up the Director role with no outside assumptions on my ability to do it as a pregnant person.

What would you do? Tell at 12 weeks or wait it out to 25?

Hi everyone, I'm due 28th November so quite likely a Dec baby! I started off with a lot of symptoms around week 4, they disappeared without a trace for like a week and a half, then hit me like a freight train. I had a solid week starting just after 6 weeks when I couldn't get any food down at all and I lost over half a stone. Seems to have eased off a bit now, but I did get some red spotting bleeding and pain which led to EPU referral with a scan yesterday convinced of the worst and my baby was fine! Measuring 7+2, with a heartbeat and I could see its head and little limb buds 😍. Looks like bleeding is due to a cervical ectropion, which actually makes sense as progesterone birth control also caused me to get them!

Worst thing to do is testing if your symptoms die off. I did this (at request of EPU 🤔) and panicked but then some wise mumsnetters told me about the hook effect and diluting my urine 20 fold suddenly gave me the dye stealers I was used to seeing!

Not told work yet because I'm up for a couple of promotions I really don't want to disappear. As much as they might not I don't want to risk it. Not told anyone bar my DH and health professionals!

I’m eating absolutely tons and my boobs are starting to hurt now too.. they feel heavy and are painful when i press the sides and underneath. I also have dull backache and I keep going a bit light headed when I get up, think I’m around the 5 week mark now, time feels like it’s going in slow motion for the first appointment and scan, I self referred last Friday to my local maternity service, not heard back yet x

Am the only one here at 4+3, with no symptoms except mild cramping? I'm beginning to worry a tad bit...

@mks1110 I'm only 4 weeks, I don't really have symptoms unless I'm really looking for them - strong sense of smell and a dry mouth, slight cramps - but if I hadn't been actively trying I don't think I'd have noticed yet.
My period was due today, I keep thinking it's going to appear.

@mks1110 my only real symptom is sore boobs and insomnia.
The boobs are less sore than they were at the start of the week, but I think it is normal for symptoms to come and go. We’ll be regretting it if morning sickness hits us hard.
My friend had her baby last summer and honestly had no “ill effects” from her pregnancy, 1 day of morning sickness at 8 weeks and her boobs stopped hurting at 5 and she had a very healthy baby girl!

On another note took a cheapy easy@home this morning just to see if I was progressing and the line looked so strong and appeared straight away so I’m tempted to do the digital this weekend.

Pretty sure the pregnancy has ended for me today at 5+5 😔. Had strong positives at about 4 weeks, had a really vivid dream last night that I woke up in the middle of the night having a miscarriage, freaked out a bit and did a FRER, line looks exactly the same as 11 days ago and not as strong as control line still, didn't read too much into it but now started feeling a bit crampy and tiny bit of bleeding and a Wilko own brand is barely visible. Stupid question but I assume I just wait for full on bleeding now? Given the last test barely looks positive I guess I don't need to do anything, no point it getting confirmed with scan or bloods? Hey @WhiteHorse92. Sorry to hear you are going through this. Your FRER from the middle of the night still looks pretty good to me. I think it's a good idea to go to the EPU to get checked out and to get your blood tests done. Whatever they might confirm, at least you'll have closure.

@WhiteHorse92 I totally agree with @joyjoy23 go to EPU or try to arrange an emergency app with your GP.

I feel like I look pregnant already just from the bloating! My stomach is making some crazy grumpling noises too 😂

@WhiteHorse92 is it a lot of blood? If not, it could be harmless... I panicked at 5+2 weeks when my test was much lighter... Added about 75% water to the wee pot and it was darker again. I know people say the "hook effect" isn't real, but it clearly is. Could it just be that? x

Top to bottom - normal urine, half and half, 75ish% water... Could be that??

Same here! @SMG1992 I am bloated and my stomach is making all sorts of noises all the time.

Other symptoms that I am finding really frustrating at the moment are the tender boobs and exceptionally dry lips to the point that it's painful. @5betty not had dry mouth but my dry lips are killing me! Trying all sorts of balms and Vaseline but nothing's helped so far.

I have had really dry lips too.. had no idea what was a symptom!? 😅

Hey all I'm 6+3 today and the morning sickness hit me like a train this morning before I'd even eaten anything I vomited in the kitchen sink then the bathroom twice at work this afternoon I was sick twice I still feel sick now but I'm also hungry so not sure how that works haha! I took a CBD weeks indicator today and I've jumped up to 3+ after having 2-3 last time
I'm so tired go to bed usually OK and sleep until 5am then im up for a wee and can't get back to sleep
I'm constantly at the loo between wee breaks sickness and TMI but wind I might as well live in the bathroom haha
I've got sore boobs too and a bit of a bad back I'm taking this as good signs 👌 🤞

@Mumof1hopingfor2nd that sounds rough!! Hope you're ok!! Did morning sickness just hit you today or did you have it prior to today?
I'm 5+6 today and I got 3+ on the clear blue test at 18dpo (so at 4+4) but no nausea or sickness at all yet! Boobs haven't been sore since 5 weeks... just sore/hard nipples. Sounds crazy but hoping sickness hits me soon as it would be reassuring!
Tempted to test with a weeks indicator again to make sure it hasn't gone down but terrified incase it has...

@5betty I had the dry mouth too and seems like it's all settled. I did do another test a few days ago, might keep at it.
It's so strange that no doctor meets us until a fair few weeks in. Need to just stay positive I guess.

Have a scan booked in two weeks time.. just need to get there 🤞🏼🙏🏼

And +1 on bloating! Forgot about that as a symptom, but so bloated I feel I'm a few months in!!

Thanks everyone. It was just a little glob of blood I lost and now I have a tiny bit of spotting but the cramps feel like they're getting a little bit worse (although I did have really bad cramps with my first pregnancy). I did read about the hook effect and did do a diluted test last night with another FRER I had but it just made the test line even fainter (although I did about 50/50 without stirring it or anything and had a glass of squash just before so not sure if I've over diluted it 😅). Think I'll see what happens in the next 24-48 hours with regards to bleeding and then see if I can arrange blood tests on Monday to get HCG confirmed. Pic is the 'diluted FRER' from last night and this afternoon's Wilko test.

Anyone have really sore, heavy, lumpy boobs? Mines only my right boob 😂 x

Bleeding has got worse and just looks like a normal period now. Had a chemical at 4.5 weeks in January as well, with that one I just had faint lines that got lighter then had bleeding and went completely negative, I really thought this time with the stronger lines and proper pregnancy symptoms and getting to 5.5 weeks everything would be okay 😔. Going to ring the Dr's on Monday for another matter anyway so whilst I'm at it I'll ask if it's worth having blood tests to check HCG levels but I doubt it. Thanks everyone, I don't think you ever realise how devastating it is until you go through it yourself x
