I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

Hi can I join this thread please? Found out on Wednesday and due 16th December but should be a week earlier as will definitely be a planned section again. Xx

Another one for the additional hunger here!
I seem to have to be grazing all day and am so hungry in the mornings!

Also am needing the loo a lot more, although am drinking more water so that could be why.
I'm on holiday next week so that should be good to get me another week close to a scan :)
Can't wait for this 1st trimester to be over in all honesty after my MC earlier this year. I just want to enjoy being pregnant and other people knowing about it.

Mummy1502 · 14/04/2023 11:07

@SMG1992 yea I’m going to the loo a lot more too but again drinking a lot of water so probably why, I can’t wait to book a private scan but I’m only 4 weeks tomorrow, still scared after a chemical a couple of cycles ago x

5betty · 14/04/2023 11:22

This is all still feels surreal to me, but I'm wondering when people plan to tell work? i have a pregnant colleague who told everyone as soon as she found out! I wouldn't want to do it straight away, but if I end up struggling with sickness it'll be impossible to hide.
Already feel extremely nauseous this morning, as soon as I smell food my stomach turns 🤢

HannahLouD · 14/04/2023 11:24

Booked a scan for next weekend when I'll be hopefully 7 weeks.
I've just been crying on and off all morning because I can't shake the feeling that something isn't right... I feel like my symptoms are much less prominent then they have been and I just have this horrible feeling this one isn't going to stick either.
I need to get a grip but I don't know how to stop feeling this way.
I was hoping I'd be feeling so happy and excited and full of joy but I feel the complete opposite... It's rubbish.

Welcome to everyone who has recently joined and I'm sending sticky, healthy baby dust everyone's way! ✨🤞x

bringmearainbow · 14/04/2023 11:38

@5betty I'll be telling work when I start to feel crappy tbh it's a small office and I can't be bothered to pretend I'm all fine when I feel crap

FfoxRedN · 14/04/2023 11:48

@5betty I told my bosses yesterday as I have to adjust what I do at work. 7.5weeks xx

SMG1992 · 14/04/2023 11:48

@5betty I think it's personal preference with work.

I'm going to try and keep it from most people until after my 12 week scan, although if I start to feel very unwell I might tell some of the people who are working closely with me day to day.
Feels ages away though, I can't wait to get excited about it.

OnNaturesCourse · 14/04/2023 11:52

I guess I've already told my work as a SAHM lol (in other words DP knows)

I told my work with my others whne I was about 7/8 weeks and couldn't hide the sickness or constant toilet trips anymore (our "break time" was monitored so it would be noticed that I was off over hour or so to the loo)

When is everyone telling their other children?

Misspotterscat · 14/04/2023 11:57

please Can I join. Found out on Tuesday, done about another 10 tests since but still doesn’t feel real. First pregnancy.

Feeling uncomfortable in my stomach and back, and keep being convinced AF has shown up but so far nothing. Haven’t been particularly hungry either and my breasts aren’t sore so I’m really worrying. But keeping everything crossed it sticks.

congratulations to everyone 🥰

HannahLouD · 14/04/2023 12:00

Personally won't be telling work, family or my daughter until after my 12 week NHS scan... After a previous loss I couldn't bare having to then tell people I'd lost it... But as others say, personal preference!

I told everyone pretty much straight away with my first (was much younger and more naive to early pregnancy loss!) Luckily all was fine but wouldn't do that again!

5betty · 14/04/2023 12:05

I won't tell my older child until after the 12 week scan. I'm leaning towards telling work sooner rather than later in case of sickness and my duties might need to change slightly.
Anyone else have an extremely dry mouth?

Smileyface32 · 14/04/2023 12:11

I’m going to wait and see how I feel before telling people at work. Also going to wait for a scan around 8 weeks so it’s just over a weeks wait for me. Last time I had to tell everyone early because of sickness then ended up having a mc.
Anyone else super bloated? Some on my clothes are already feeling tight

Mummy1502 · 14/04/2023 12:12

I think this is why it’s nice having a group like this, we can openly talk about our pregnancies and worries with people who are going through the same thing, instead of feeling like we have know one to talk to until we announce it properly, thank god for this group lol x

I feel the exact same as you. Had a MC last Nov and so worried the same will happen 😫

really like having this thread, reading that so many are In the same boat! ☺️

Formaddict · 14/04/2023 12:37

congratulations to everyone!

I’m thinking of telling my boss when I’m back in after my leave next week. I’ve had a miscarriage last year that I took time off for and it easier asking for the time off knowing that they knew about the pregnancy. I won’t be telling anyone else until my 12 week scan.

ill be nearly 6 weeks when I tell my boss
