@MooseWL ah thanks! Exciting we're on to thread 2! 🥰

Udford · 21/03/2023 15:02

Please may I join in?

I'm pregnant with my 2nd. NHS due date calculator says I'm due roughly 4th November but I had an early scan on Saturday and they put me at 8th November. Any due date buddies? 😁

Feeling a bit nauseous at the moment and hoping it passes soon. I've never eaten so many ginger biscuits in my life 😂

Pip1402 · 21/03/2023 15:17

Hi @Udford, welcome! I think I'm due 9th November although I haven't had a scan yet so not sure. I'm also feeling nauseous and eating lots of ginger biscuits! When did the nausea pass with your first?

NatGee · 21/03/2023 15:18

on thread two, so encouraging, thanks @MooseWL :)

Shaker21 · 21/03/2023 15:23

Good luck for your scan @38andtrying I have got an early scan booked for next Saturday 1st April and I will be 6 weeks + 3 days according to ovulation date. Feeling really nervous for it and whether everything will be ok 😬Anyone else got there early scan over the next week or so?

NatGee · 21/03/2023 15:35

@MooseWL how did you find out who your community midwife is? I've only got a booking appointment made for the 8th of April and itll be the first time I'll speak to anyone.

Piapea · 21/03/2023 15:36

Hi ladies, I had a scan today at 7 weeks, as mine is an IVF baby. I'm due November 4th as well @Udford so amazing to see the little heart beat already!

MooseWL · 21/03/2023 15:41

@NatGee yeah just met her at my booking appointment which was today!

Hi @Shaker21 I'm hoping to go for a scan on Monday next week all being well. I should be around 7+5 at that point. I wanted to wait as long as possible because the place only does external scans but I'm feeling very impatient!

TMI2000 · 21/03/2023 15:47

I really want to book a scan next week around 7 weeks or so but they cost £80 odd and i'm worried about something going wrong!

Udford · 21/03/2023 15:54

@Pip1402 I didn't have any sickness or nausea with my first. I actually had the biggest appetite ever 😂 everything is completely different this time around.

Are you scanning with Meet your Miracle by any chance?

Sb86 · 21/03/2023 16:02

@Shaker21 I've got my early scan on Thursday when I'll be exactly 6 weeks according to lmp. It's been booked since 6th of March as I started spotting but was going to be offered an early scan due to mc in October. The spotting hasn't stopped and I actually had a bleed on Saturday night, rang epu in tears thinking the worst and they just said to keep my appointment and to go to a&e if it got worse. It just happened the once and I've had quite a bit of brown blood since but only everytime I wipe. I'm trying to stay positive as boobs are still sore, I feel more nauseous and I'm sleeping more but only the scan will be able to give me a definite answer 🙏🏼❤️🌈

Shaker21 · 21/03/2023 16:05

Oh fingers crossed @Sb86 that your scan all goes ok on Thursday. I can't even imagine the worry and anxiety you must be going through. It is a positive thing that there hasn't been any heavier bleeding and I have heard that spotting can be quite normal and common. I really hope it all goes ok for you!

Sb86 · 21/03/2023 16:09

They said all along that if they can see a viable pregnancy they will start me on progesterone, I just wish they'd let me start earlier and maybe I wouldn't be going through this. Thanks for the well wishes and I'll update on Thursday with hopefully good news 🤞🏼

Sb86 · 21/03/2023 16:09

@Shaker21 ^^ meant for you 😊

38andtrying · 21/03/2023 16:10

I'm just out and a great scan, good strong heartbeat, I am so relieved. Thanks everyone for their good wishes xx

Pip1402 · 21/03/2023 16:15

@38andtrying Yay! That's great news!

@Udford You were lucky with your first! Sorry you haven't had the same luck this time round. I am thinking of scanning with MYM but haven't booked it yet. Do you have any experience with them?

SnookyPook · 21/03/2023 16:16

@38andtrying wonderful news! So glad to hear it! 😊

Skyla01 · 21/03/2023 16:20

@38andtrying that's great news. Hope you can relax a bit more now.

My nausea is getting a bit worse day by day but nowhere near as bad as last time. Feel a bit in limbo just waiting to see how bad it gets. First midwife appointment two weeks today.

Journey2022 · 21/03/2023 16:22

@38andtrying what a relief for you!! so pleased!! and amazing you got to hear the heartbeat too! Hopefully you can enjoy your pregnancy now.

@Sb86 This must be so worrying for you, try to keep positive, easier said than done (I know I am a constant anxious mess!) - have EPU not offered you a scan, are you only having your private one? I am surprised as my EPU have been absolutely lovely, I called yesterday after getting a positive all across the weekend - however I had a bleed Thursday evening, I explained this and they had me in the same day (yesterday) I called they did my bloods, they are then doing a second lot of bloods tomorrow, followed by a scan either later this week or early next week depending where my hcg is.

@TMI2000 have you shopped around for scans, they really vary in price near me - I was recommended one and they do an early scan from 6 weeks for only £55 (I am based in Essex if its of any use to you?) I think my EPU will be doing a scan but I will probably book a second one privately - all being well with EPU this week/next week.

DollyGx · 21/03/2023 16:22

@38andtrying aww brill! So pleased for you that must be a massive relief. I’ve got my early scan next Sunday, getting really impatient now🤣

TMI2000 · 21/03/2023 16:27

@Journey2022 Unfortunately I’m in Torbay so not spoilt for choice and would have to travel to Exeter, I am tempted though. Because of my mc I’m just praying everything is going well

Udford · 21/03/2023 16:27

@Pip1402 Definitely. It gave me a false sense of security having a breeze the first time!

I had a scan with them at the weekend just gone, I thought I was 7w 3d but they measured me 6w 4d. They were nice enough and it was lovely to see babies heartbeat but in my last pregnancy I used Window to the Womb and they were miles better than MYM. The scan felt a bit rushed as they were running behind and they didn't talk me through as much a WTTW did. It was about £20 cheaper to use MYM though and I didn't have to have an internal so their are pros and cons for both I suppose!

Fairylight102 · 21/03/2023 16:35

Hi everyone! I saw earlier some of you were talking about how variable early pregnancy symptoms are between women (can’t remember who sorry since switching to the new thread!)

I was 4 weeks on Saturday and have already been experiencing fatigue, hypersensitive smell and mild nausea (nothing too bad, just a slight feeling on discomfort). Has anyone else had symptoms this early?

I previously had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in Dec and I had only started having symptoms in the final week of that. I’m telling myself it’s probably a good sign if I feel symptoms earlier on this time, but also conscious that I could be imagining it or at least overemphasising it in my head, because I’m so badly hoping this pregnancy will be successful!!

Sb86 · 21/03/2023 16:38

@Journey2022 yeah scan is with EPU they wouldn't have me in any earlier which is annoying! So had to spend all that time worrying when I go to loo that the spotting would get worse and it finally did! It's so frustrating, I've heard of people getting progesterone prescribed before a viable scan or they've been seen before 6 weeks but not much I can do when I've rang a few times and still no change. I've only got a couple more sleeps now thankfully. Glad your EPU have been on the ball with you ❤️
