@TealDreams 😭😭😭😭 oh nooooo. I literally spend all wkend in bed lol

@VictoriaBlossom its freaking me out 😭 I went into the white company the other day and Gad to leave as the smell was giving me a sore head 😭

PrimarilyParented · 19/03/2023 10:34

@natalik i wouldn’t worry, nausea is different for everyone. I find that on days I am stressed at work my nausea is far worse but in general I am not very nauseas (more faint and dizzy) and in my last pregnancy I only threw up twice and both times I had been on transport and I have always had travel sickness. Honestly being sick or not doesn’t mean anything with regards to the healthiness of the pregnancy.

PrimarilyParented · 19/03/2023 10:35

@VictoriaBlossom that does sound like a great dream.

natalik · 19/03/2023 10:44

@PrimarilyParented thank you for the reassurance 💖

OrionNebula · 19/03/2023 11:12

Morning all. 11 weeks today and small bump appeared overnight! Had quite bad nausea last night too for the first time which seems odd as I know nausea usually gets better around this time, not worse... still waiting on the fetal harmony results and trying not to think about it.

ttcttc · 19/03/2023 12:09

Another early scan today. I cried. I was so overwhelmed after my miscarriage in December. I felt a bit daft but they were lovely!
I'm behind though. Thought I was 8+4 and I'm 7+6. Not sure if I should be worried.
Heartbeat was there ❤️ 🥹

Congrats @ttcttc! Lovely pic!

iloveeggs · 19/03/2023 13:44

@ttcttc Congrats, completely normal to be emotional!

I'm really struggling today, barely slept, feel so nausea and just feel like a hormonal wreck. Everything is making me sad/angry. Just totally fed up.

@katherine123x I'm living in my lululemon leggings or pjs, seems to be the only thing that stretches enough to make me feel comfy. I feel so bloated and pudgy.

iloveeggs · 19/03/2023 13:46

Also happy Mothers Day to all us mama's to be, I think we deserve to celebrate it too 💕

thecatsthecats · 19/03/2023 13:54

I've skived an IL family buffet today because I can't risk retching everywhere.

I can't actually open my own fridge without retching. I think this word is overused, but it genuinely smells VILE. Like a pile of rotting onions.

Husband claims it smells normal.

Thing is, we have a compost caddy. Actually full of rotting stuff. And I took that out fine?!

Needtobuildabridge · 19/03/2023 14:00

I've got such scanxiety! 12 week scan on Thursday and I'm so nervous - anyone else?

I feel you. I picked my bf up on Thursday, he'd been to Cheltenham so went to retrieve him from the bus drop off and he got in the car and I was like "do you think it smells of wet dog in here" "no, why have you had a wet dog in here" "no but it stinks of wet dog". We haven't got a dog 😂

MeganC104 · 19/03/2023 14:37

Marking my place 7 weeks 5 days. Exhaustion and nausea. Can barely get off the sofa. Have my booking appointment tomorrow and hoping all goes well.

iloveeggs · 19/03/2023 14:52

My resting heart rate on my Fitbit has gone up from 58ish to 70ish since becoming pregnant, had anyone else noticed a rise in rhr?

Mldn · 19/03/2023 15:10

@iloveeggs i am 7+2 and my rhr has gone from mid 50 to high 70s & often up into the 90s! No wonder I feel so dizzy. I’ve felt this way the last 2/3 weeks x

thecatsthecats · 19/03/2023 15:19

I definitely have funny turns where I can feel my heart rate elevated. I also get super hot the moment I do any kind of exertion. Or just sit still, often.

On the plus side, I've pointed out that I'm super cheap to feed. I'm only having oatcakes, some potatoes and random bits of biscuits.

NSx · 19/03/2023 16:11

Omg so glad you all said this. Sometimes I feel like my hearts going all weird - like that way you get with anxiety or like when you drink lots of coffee/red bull.
on another note…. The smell thing is killing me, I am convinced I can smell my partners fillings 😂😂 like a metallic smell. I’m bloody losing it.

DmcinT · 19/03/2023 16:23

Week 9 and think (hope) I’ve reached my peak sickness. Nausea and retching went to full on puking today. I’ve been really forcing myself to eat this last week or 2 but same as others just very plain food (plain pasta, toast, potatoes etc) don’t know how I’ll face work tomorrow.
the tiredness is ridiculous too, had a 3 hr nap after being up only an hr this morning 😂 anyone else the same with sleep? Then other nights I’m awake from 3/4am (no in between)

NSx · 19/03/2023 16:29

@DmcinT ive been in my bed since Saturday 😂😂😂😂

LaVitesse2022 · 19/03/2023 16:42

@iloveeggs same, my resting HR is usually around 50 and now it's in the mid 70s. Just had my booking appt and mentioned this to the midwife who said it's very normal, as there's a lot more blood to pump.

Had my booking appt which took just over 1 hour. Everything straightforward so far. Took blood and urine samples and measured my BMI and blood pressure. Feeling like it's more real now that I've got a maternity medical file 🙂

She said 12 scan and 16 week appt dates will be sent over the post soon.

iloveeggs · 19/03/2023 16:48

Phew, thanks girls that makes me feel less worried.

Our bodies are amazing!

VictoriaBlossom · 19/03/2023 17:25

Decided I didn't have the guts to tell the in laws because of having the MC last year, everyone in the family has had successful pregnancies.
Gonna wait til the 12w scan

But FIL omg he's cracked 3 snide jokes about me being pregnant.
"So have you both got some news for us"

Made me want the Sunday roast to eat me up. I'm not even obviously pregnant. But I had skinny jeans on and I think I've got a bit of a bloated belly, maybe that gave it away:

My mum decanted some alcohol free wine in a wine bottle for me. It's absolutely rank, but it's the only way I've managed to send them off scent

Alexandra07 · 19/03/2023 17:36

@VictoriaBlossom your mum is a star! It feels like nobody can gain weight without others thinking you are pregnant! I am in the same position as you, previous mc, I am not announcing before 12 weeks scan. But my parents and parents in law are abroad, so much easier to hide! I am not sure how to hide it from colleagues! Second pregnancy, just 8 weeks and already feel bigger!

VictoriaBlossom · 19/03/2023 17:39

@Alexandra07
Problem is. We are going on a massive family holiday ultra all inclusive to Jamaica when I'll be 20 weeks.
They know im mad driven and I wanted to lose a stone for the holiday, and I've stopped talking about diet and exercise cos well.... I want to eat what I want and if I exercise I get mad heart palpitations.

There's 7 years between me and OH, he's younger.
So when I turn 34 next week... it's like "ooooh 34 and no kids still, times ticking blah blah blah" fuck off 😂

Beemug · 19/03/2023 17:51

@VictoriaBlossom people love commenting on women’s bodies don’t they 🙄- def wait until your comfortable to tell them :)
