Pregnant after miscarriage

Hi all, hope you are all well🥰

I have just found out that I am pregnant again after a loss in December at 5+2 (very early!). I’m only 4 weeks going by last period so it really is so early again. I am so happy but also know i’m going to struggle with the waiting. I know I just have to play the waiting game and hope for the best. Anyone been in similar position with positive outcome? Really hope this is our time🤞🌈

@calipoppy I'm so glad you've finally got your progesterone, hopefully it's just what your body needs and fingers crossed mine goes the same way 🥰❤️🌈

@Charliexo morning, sorry I have no advice regarding spotting after sex...I'm a no go zone right now. But hopefully it'll just be your cervix that's been irritated, the clots could be just from you being laid down and it's collected together and dispelled this morning. Hopefully the midwife will be able to put your mind at rest 🙏🏼

So sorry this has happened @Charliexo ☹️ I hope the midwife is able to reassure you. I’m also too scared to dtd in pregnancy so have never had this myself, but I know it is common. I know it’s hard but try to remember they did tell you it’s more common with twins too. Hope you’re ok xx

@Charliexo my midwife told me spotting after sex can be normal! She did say to phone anyway but it’s not normally anything to worry about xxx

Thanks for replying, it's the clots that have come with the bleeding that has worried me.
Spoke to my midwife and she called to get me a scan tomorrow, she didn't continue our appointment and register me until I've had another scan, so fingers crossed.
She said if everything comes back ok with the scan, she will rebook me in to start my antenatal care xx

@Charliexo is there still blood now or is it stopping now? Hope it all goes okay tomorrow🤞🏻xxx

Hi all, so lovely to read others who have experienced similar to me. I had a mc 6 weeks ago, I was 8 weeks at the time, tested negative 3 wks ago and have now had 3 semi strong positives since yesterday. I would definitely assume it's a new pregnancy but confused why lines are so dark when I should be very early on (3-5 weeks MAX). Had a HCG test yesterday and will have another one next Thursday to check it is rising- Does the anxiety ever go away? 😂

Just had my first HCG levels back and they were 308 which I think is okay for 4 weeks odd?
A week seems like a lifetime to check they are climbing!

Babies are still there and ok, again bigger baby has a clear strong heart beat and measuring perfectly. Second baby took the lady a while plus a second opinion if the other one had a fetal pole and a heart beat, they eventually decided that it did but want me to go back next week and check, but the second sac is apart from the other one now up the corner of my uterus so was very difficult to see so we will see what next week brings but the one baby looks really good xxx

@Charliexo Ah I’m glad you got on okay and you’ve got a strong big baby 🫶🏻 hopefully the little one catches up!

I got a BFP yesterday after a miscarriage in December.

I’m 32 and this will be my first child. I think my due date is around 25th Nov.

It's the worst thing having a mc but it's lovely (not lovely) we have each other to air our worries to knowing we all know how it feels. Fingers crossed for out rainbow babies ❤️🌈

I’m trying to stay positive and remember that very often miscarriages are a one-off, and the fact I had one before doesn’t mean the same will happen this time.

I don’t know if this is weird, but in my head I’m kind of imagining this is like the same pregnancy restarting, the miscarriage was an upsetting interruption, but I’m now back to where I was when I got pregnant the first time only this time it’s going to go differently.

@Fairylight102 i can totally understand that, I had an MC before I had my dd and I always felt that it was kind of just the same pregnancy! I guess it’s kind of nice to think if it does work out then the baby never could have existed if it wasn’t for the first loss ❤️

I've started bleeding, I went to the toilet and wiped and there was more than usual then looked down and saw a gush go into the toilet. My partner has taken my youngest to a football match and won't be home til later this evening so just in bed crying, don't want to message him because he's miles away. Rang epu but they just told me to ring back weds night to let them know how things have been as I'm due a scan on Thursday! I'm gutted because all I kept thinking was get to the scan and you'll get progesterone and be fine. I've got period like cramps and I'm just expecting them to get gradually worse. I can't believe it's happening again 😔

@Sb86 oh my lovely, I'm so sorry this is happening, can't imagine how you're feeling. I can't believe EPU are making you wait until Thursday for a scan! Try and see if another EPU can fit you in sooner.
