Sorry that should have been a reply to @DancingNancies

Early scan is soon. I'm incredibly nervous, like I'm expecting a problem? This pregnancy lark is stressful!

@Needtobuildabridge good luck for your scan, I’m sure it will all be ok! How many weeks are you? I have one booked for 8 weeks and I’m nervous already! Xxx

Needtobuildabridge · 18/02/2023 14:44

I'm somewhere between 6+6 and 7+3 . I had a MC in december, and got pregnant next cycle. It's still really weighing on me a lot and I'm just super nervous about this pregnancy.

@MeganC104 i totally understand how you might feel you lost out by not having a vaginal birth. For me I just was happy he was here and I don’t want to go through the stress of natural delivery only to end up having an emergency section and so I am adamant I am going for a section this time round.

katherine123x · 18/02/2023 15:10

@Needtobuildabridge ahhh! Excited for you!! Nerves are normal. Remember that! Just take deep breaths. Can't wait to hear how it goes!!

VictoriaBlossom · 18/02/2023 16:16

Hiiiii, joining tentatively
Very much strong lines on BFP
Currently 1 day past missed period.
Found out Valentine's Day and told other half by putting my test in his card which was cute.
Had mmc last year, basically due date last year was 31/10 this year would be 28/10 so would be very similar dates.
No symptoms yet, but it's early days!!
Scan booked for 15/3 due to history.

Nervous!!
Baby number one for me

LWestYorks · 18/02/2023 16:17

Hey! So according to the NHS calculator and some others I were 6 weeks yesterday, the first day of my last period were 10th January however my 8 week appointment is not until the 10th March and when I questioned the lady who I spoke to she said I’d be 8 weeks when seen but I make it 9 😵‍💫 does anyone know if the hospital work dates out differently?

NSx · 18/02/2023 16:59

Hiii @VictoriaBlossom was wondering when you were joining, how are u?

Chanteuse · 18/02/2023 17:07

Me & DH are going to Nando’s for tea and I can’t wait, I’ve been dreaming of it all week 😋

DancingNancies · 18/02/2023 17:11

@Skyharbor @Hankthehonk we only saw my parents once when they dropped our eldest off for the first week or two, and though we had a little birthday party for him a month or so later, no one was allowed to hold baby so that was also quite nice as there was no stress surrounding that either - I felt a lot happier 2nd time round so will be following the same rules this time just without the pandemic! 😂

Itsokaymama · 18/02/2023 17:17

@Needtobuildabridge how did it go?
Im further along than expected, 8+1 so that actually makes me due September 28th, im not kicked out the group am i? Ha ha

Needtobuildabridge · 18/02/2023 17:18

Scan was amazing. If you're on the fence, go for it. Measuring 7+1 and heard the heartbeat. Nerves are definitely coming down now!

Congratulations and welcome to the group.
I also tested positive on 14th feb.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy

Needtobuildabridge · 18/02/2023 17:42

Thanks everyone, it's really helped my worries.
@katherine123x we used Window to the Womb. They were great from start to finish, and let us choose a photo to have printed out and take home 🥰

@Needtobuildabridge thank you so much - this has made me book mine!! I'll be 6+5!

Hopefulx · 18/02/2023 17:54

@LWestYorks hey! I am the same - my midwife appointment is 9weeks + 2 so I’m in the same boat as you. This is my first pregnancy though so I’m not sure if 9 weeks is normal.

when is everyone else first midwife appointment?

Hopefulx · 18/02/2023 17:55

@Needtobuildabridge aw congratulations! You have got me so excited for my scan in 2 weeks

LWestYorks · 18/02/2023 17:58

@Hopefulx hey! Weird isn’t it - so I’ve gone off my cycle which is 23 days so apparently at my appointment I will be bang on 9 weeks but on the phone she didn’t even ask my cycle length or not so god knows 😵‍💫 this is my second pregnancy and remember all my appointments bang on last time. Are you having an early scan? X

Hopefulx · 18/02/2023 18:07

@LWestYorks should we be having the first midwife appointment at 8 weeks? I haven’t had a phone call with anyone I just self referred and got a letter through the post with my appointment date.

I’ve booked 2 early scans 🙈 one at 7 weeks as I’m impatient and then one at 9 weeks which will be the day before Mother’s Day. We’re planning on telling our parents on Mother’s Day so wanted a scan photo where the baby will be a bit bigger. Are you going to have an early scan?

Itsokaymama · 18/02/2023 18:08
