@Soda123x omg, we found out in Spain with our first too haha! Going to a pharmacy in Benidorm was definitely an experience.
@JoanneV so sorry to hear you are feeling rough. Hope it all gets better soon for you, maybe you could speak to your gp and see if they can help with anything?

I have to say I am looking quite pregnant at 7wk2days, must be pure bloat at the moment but not sure with a second.

Hope everyone else is ok this evening!

I've had a really weird symptom appear over the weekend - I've lost my sense of taste. It's not covid or any other cold/flu, I feel perfectly fine. I just can't taste. It's so weird.
I've heard of metallic tastes or sensitivities leading to aversions...but I just can't taste at all. Anyone else?!?

Yes! But only in the evenings weirdly. And not sure if it is pregnancy related or inflamed sinuses as this has happened to me before. But my sinuses feel ok 🤷‍♀️

ukMummyof1 · 21/02/2023 21:29

Thanks everyone for your bump comments! I won't be 'facebook announcing' this pregnancy so I plan to keep it quiet as long as possible. Im quite tiny so when I crack I'll update😂😂

MamaKitz · 21/02/2023 21:55

Hi all
Could I join please? I'm still in a bit of shock TBH, I have just got BFP today on two tests. I was 3 days overdue but have been spotting and my periods been all over the place lately, I actually thought it was the menopause! Not sure I should get my hopes up with the spotting though, although I've had none today. I am 40 and have had 3 cs before... my youngest is 6. Anyone else in their 40's??

Koalawhala · 21/02/2023 22:05

Hello @MamaKitz, I’m early forties and this will be my 3rd baby 👋

Hope all settles down for you and things go smoothly 😊

Aww hey!! Congratulations! When is your due date?

Koalawhala · 21/02/2023 22:20

@MamaKitz Thank you! You too 😊. Mine is October 26th. What’s yours?

MamaKitz · 21/02/2023 22:31

I am due oct 28th (I think) I am going to book an early scan as my last period was just a lot of spotting too so want to make sure.

SnookyPook · 21/02/2023 23:38

@IaminRome oh wow...!! Fellow lockdown girl here! Haha!! Obviously not put anything in there yet as such early days. So funny to be in a group with one of you second time round! Happy to PM if you like!

SnookyPook · 21/02/2023 23:39

Congrats to all the new joiners! Struggling to keep up!

afinethingindeed · 22/02/2023 07:27

@OrionNebula weird that it's only in the evenings! It could be non pregnancy for me too but I've only ever had it during covid before and it's not that now so I'm baffled 😂
Would love it to come back though!

Anyone have any dark brown discharge? I'm nearly 7 weeks. Last week I had a small pink bleed but everything was fine, I had a scan on Monday. And then since yesterday I'm just having these small amounts of brown. Is it normal?

buckingmad · 22/02/2023 09:48

God I forgot what an emotional anxiety ridden rollercoaster pregnancy is, especially early pregnancy. Now the initial buzz of a positive has worn off I'm back in the constant panic of something going wrong. Counting down the days (17) until our scan.

SnookyPook · 22/02/2023 09:50

@buckingmad is that a private one or do you get seen early on NHS? I don't think I'll have anything until 12 weeks which seems an eternity!

Yeah it's a rollercoaster isn't it? Trying to focus on keeping myself happy and healthy but it's always on my mind! My concentration at work has completely gone to pot!

buckingmad · 22/02/2023 09:53

@SnookyPook private. I'd really recommend it. Really helped with my anxiety with my first.

katherine123x · 22/02/2023 09:54

@SnookyPook hi! Who have you booked your scan with??

mariamari · 22/02/2023 10:01

@acaciabluebell I read that spotting after an internal scan is normal but haven’t experience with it myself. I’d suggest monitoring and let your doctor know if it continues. Even just for peace of mind. ♥️

Has anyone had rhinitis? I’ve been bunged up for 5 days which is such a nuisance for my sleep alongside low level nausea! 🙈

blebbleb · 22/02/2023 10:08

@SnookyPook some early pregnancy assessment units will do them before 12 weeks if you have any concerns. I have a local one (I'm in London). I had a mmc in December so I may go for 1 at 8 or 9 weeks.

SnookyPook · 22/02/2023 10:14

@katherine123x it's @buckingmad who's booked the private one! I think my sister used one called Window to the Womb or something?

@blebbleb yeah it's great they offer that. I've no official reason to need an early scan and didn't have one with my first go it would be private if anything for me. I'll see how I go!

buckingmad · 22/02/2023 10:16

@katherine123x I've booked mine with a local company (I live in Yorkshire), but when I lived in Surrey whilst pregnant with my first I had one at Window to the Womb which was great.

katherine123x · 22/02/2023 10:25

@SnookyPook @buckingmad sorry!! I misread massively! Fab thank you. Good luck!! I have mine this weekend 🤞🏻

DSP21 · 22/02/2023 10:28

Those of you who have had an ectopic before, what did it feel like? I’m getting pain in my left side but i’m only 4+5 today. It feels like a sharp pain and only in one place so not sure if i should call the doc

HistoryFanatic · 22/02/2023 10:46

1st I could get away with hiding it until at least 25 weeks. Baby was nearly 9lb!

2nd I was bigger.

3rd I have already got a bloating bump going on. I will be lucky to keep it hidden until 12 weeks if everything goes well. Luckily I can wear jumpers for a while yet!

I think if you are quite tall and slim you are more likely to hide it better.
